“This is our favorite place for dinner, cocktails and brunch! We love a date night there but it’s also great for kids too. The food, the cocktails, the atmosphere, the service, etc… I can’t say enough about how wonderful it is!“

“I had a really amazing salmon poke bowl here. Fish was really fresh and perfect tenderness. Ingredients were fresh and delicious. Came out quickly although it was a weekday and it wasn’t too busy.

Lots of other options on the menu I wanted to explore so I’ll be back.

Oddly the poke is kind of hard to find on their menu. They have it on a piece of paper next to the register.

Portion looked a little small for what I paid which was over $20. But I was full after eating it and I’m a pretty decently sized guy.

“Went here for Happy hours and the menus are pretty good. I ate at Eddie V's Manhattan Beach before and loved it. First time trying it near home. The HH items are good, but some aren't as good as others. The calamari is large and delicious. Lobster bisque is OK. Grilled oysters and the lobster tempura in a stick thing are awesome. Their ribeye steak should be great bc I love it at the Manhattan Beach location.“

“Overall, quite a nice dining experience as the server was nice and the food was good. Bread is served soft and warm. The signature fried chicken lobster tail was fresh but the breading can be a bit thinner to improve the texture. The little neck clam is probably the best dish of the night as the clam itself is huge and the meat is juicy and super fresh and cooked perfectly. The main entrees Hokkaido scallop is fresh but lacked sweetness so it's about average. The off menu New York steak was surprisingly good and tender until we found out it is actually a Wagyu beef which we also paid a premium for, so it became less impressive because we didn't even know it was a Wagyu when ordering it. It will be better for the server to address carefully on the off menu items as well as the price so customers don't get surprised after eating. Anyway, overall seafood is good and would highly recommend the little neck clam. Will want to try the bone-in Ribeyes which was actually what we wanted in the first place.“

We shared the Caesar salad, which was crisp and tasty, and we shared the chicken creamy pesto pasta that was very satisfying, our server was very attentive, and the food was presented promptly, considering the location and the quality of food and the ambience of the restaurant. We felt that we got very good value for our dollar spent.“

Another server, Rob, came to the table to offer some insider tips on places to visit once he found out we had never been to the area (we visited a few today and they lived up to the hype!). I wasn't expecting much from a hotel restaurant but I was blown away by our dinners. I had the most incredible salmon- perfectly cooked with crispy skin - and the Cobb salad was just as good! We shared a bread basket and the rolls tasted like they all just left the oven. Our waiter suggested the cheesecake for dessert and he was spot on - so good! “We had high hopes coming to Olea, but alas we were disappointed. Location/Ambiance: Westcliff Plaza and small with a large bar at the front, the layout leaves little space for tables. We sat in a snug booth alongside the windows with a view of Susie Cakes next door. The decor is warm and modern. Food: Subpar! Burnt bread but delicious whipped butter. Butter lettuce and Goat cheese salad was bland with a basic dressing. Mac and cheese skillet was good but nothing amazing. Filet was dry with overdone gluey mashed potatoes, and underdone broccolini. Halibut was pan seared to a dry mess with an inedible coating, bland steamed seasonal vegetables of cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli as a side. Service: Friendly and Fake, if you enjoy watching servers walk away from your table talking about how "picky and difficult you are" this is a perfect spot. My Mother has dietary restrictions and we are specific to ensure a safe dining experience, it's sad when that's met with disdain. Overall: We won't be back!“

“Wonderful family owned place! The most authentic Italian restaurant outside of Italy. At Il Farro food is prepared with attention and real LOVE. Everything from the appetizers to dessert were perfect. Every dish is made with true italian fresh and natural ingredients and is made by traditional recipes. The talented chef M. makes pastas and pizzas daily and they taste amazing. Also the house wine is a good selection. I suggest you to have their own valuable wine. Il Farro has a great management and staff too. We loved interacting with customers and guys who work in, they became like family for us. The qualified employees are friendly helpful and the restaurant is always clean. They do have enough seats and limited outdoor seating, but get a reservation in advance to make sure you have a place.Hands off, this is the best place to gather with friends or family! It has our ❤️s. We loved it.“

“I’ve tried out a lot of Omakase in LA and San Shi Go is def my favorite! The food quality is top-notch; you can never go wrong with whatever sake on the menu. Besides the most common Omakase pieces including Otoro, Uni, etc., I especially love love love the deep-dried shrimp head, Nodoguro, Shimaaji, Managtatsuo, Isaki, Kinmedai, Amadai, and Wagyu sushi. I can’t have enough of it and ended up with 26 pieces sushi (I would’ve had more if it was not already past the store hour?) The staff here is all welcoming. And lastly big shoutout to Yoshisan! He is the BEST!!!!!!“

“Bayside Restaurant in Newport Beach is a gem, especially for its live music every night. The atmosphere is so captivating that I often find myself singing along or even getting up to dance. The food and service are just as exceptional: my go-to dishes are the scallops, the lamb, and all the steaks. The seafood is so fresh and the steaks are far superior in flavor to any high-end restaurant. For appetizers, the ahi tuna tartare is a must-try (THE BEST I’ve had anywhere), and the calamari with its Thai-style twist of chilies, green onion, and cilantro over an amazing salad is a standout. Desserts? Absolutely heavenly. The cheesecake and panna cotta are favorites, but the Grand Marnier souffle is simply to die for. The service is also impeccable…from the moment you arrive with the complimentary valet service, to the hostesses, the bartenders, servers, and bussers. Everyone is so friendly and attentive! “They have a nice dining area with indoor and outdoor seating which has a view of the water. Need to get rid of the fake, plastic flowers and the thumping music but overall the atmosphere is nice. The Avocado Fries were yummy and the Sea Bass was cooked perfectly and so delicious. Service was a little slow, the entrees were not brought out together so we had to wait so we could eat together. Seems like a good place for a date night.

Parking: There are a few spots in front of the restaurant but you will probably have to park in the nearby structure which they validate“

“Kelsey, our server, was friendly, competent and very kind. There was an older couple at a nearby table. It was obvious that the husband (assumed) had cognitive issues. His wife(assumed) took charge and ordered for them both. Kelsey, seemed to know them, perhaps regulars, and could not be kinder and in serving them. She even cleaned up a small food mess that the gentleman caused. She was never dismissive nor patronizing. She was simply kind. Brava!!!!“

Their pitcher of blood orange margaritas was great for the two of us and paired perfectly with our ceviche stack and corn ribs.
