“One of a kind! We came on a Monday night to visit from the east coast and loved it. They have a set menu with house specials, we got to taste free cocktails and dinner came with a free salsa lesson followed by live music. The food was delicious and we had excellent service, highly recommend! Plus, they have parking on site.“

“Been a few times and the food is wonderful as well as, the staff. Casual place we typically visit after a long hike and when in need of a large, flavorful and satisfying hot meal. The fajitas and plantains are to die for!!! Highly recommend!!“

“Last night I was there and I bought the best empanadas I tasted in the United States in addition to some potato balls that for God's sake were so delicious! My heart burst with flavors! Thank you for cooking so good, I want to go back and try more things from the menu. I highly recommend this place. I loved that the lady who took care of us was confused when we asked for the flavor of the empanadas and gave them to us as a gift so that we can try another flavor.“

“Lechón asado. If you eat pork, that's the way to go. Tender roast pork marinated in mojo, a delectable garlic-citrus sauce, is topped with rings of not-quite-raw onion and served alongside a mountain of white rice, onto which you spoon saucy black beans. As if that's not enough you get a side of sweet fried plantains too. Portions are plenty, but if you want a starter, look no further than the yuca frita, chunks of fried starchy cassava root with more mojo to dip, of course (though I wish they offered yuca boiled as well). It's the closest most of us will get to Cuba without a change in diplomatic strategy.“

“One of my favorite local go-tos! The lomo here is delicious along with the papa rellenas and empanadas. The sangria is a MUST. Seating is outdoors which is perfect with the weather getting warmer. I'm excited to dine in on a Friday when they have a live band playing.“

“Been coming here for over 40 years. I cannot find a Cuban restaurant in Los Angeles, where they make the empanizado the same as el Colmao. The service is awesome and food is great. I've been to Miami many times and neither can find an empanizado de palomillo like el colmao. I truly appreciate this restaurant and believe to be the staple of Cuban food in Los Angeles..“
“Thank you so much, Beaches Weho! You made celebrating my birthday fantastic! When we first arrived, they had reserved the VIP upstairs area for my big party. After we had some concerns about viewing the show from up there, they quickly put together some high top tables for us. I am very appreciative and we all had a great time!“

“I haven’t been to this place in a few years, since I left LA. I was thinking about it fondly today and realized I never left a review!I am not sure from the other reviews how the new management is taking care of the place but the photos seem to reflect almost exactly as I remembered it. So, you should go to this place and give it a shot at least, it is great and very memorable.“

“One of the best Cuban restaurant's I have had in a while. Everything was delicious and authentic.Came in on a Friday night just after 6pm. Party of 4, we sat right down and ordered appetizers, papa rellenas and empanadas cubanas and drinks, Cuban sodas and sangria.Everything took a reasonable amount of time taking into consideration that it was a little busy. The server was a little slow to check up but not so long that you felt forgotten.Dinner was ordered... Ropa vieja, Lechón asado, pan con bistec, yuca frita, yuca con mojo, moros and maduros were ordered and IT WAS ALL AMAZING. Portions were sizable and flavors on point. And of course cortaditos and flan for dessert. FANTASTICO!!Definitely will be back to try other dishes in the menu.Parking: Parking lot is shared with other businesses. If you go at night, parking should be considerably easier.“

“One of my favorite place to get chicken in Los Angeles. Prompt and excellent service. Good location, has ample parking spaces but not sure during Friday night or weekends. But I do know that i get parking all the time during the middle of the day. I always order to go and call in ahead of time. Recommended their famouse half chicken sauce on the side and oxtail stew. Enough for two person.“

“Before moving to SFV, my bf and I would go out to find something to eat, during one of those days we passed in front of this place, we had to make a U turn, the smell of charbroiled chicken was inviting us to go try it, the chicken was delicious, I bought an extra chicken so my family could try it and they too loved it. I have tried the ribs, but for some reason every time the meat was super hard, and didn't even have barbecue sauce, I gave up and no longer order ribs, only the chicken, it has yet to disappoint me. The staff is friendly and they are quick.“

“I enjoy the steak sandwich. It's like a Latin Hoagie. Flavorful and the bread is lightly toasted so you get a slight crunch in every bite. If you're into hot subs, Philly cheesesteak type of sandwich. This sandwich doesn't disappoint.“
