“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“Amazing Korean BBQ Experience!
Everything was absolutely perfect — the food was incredibly delicious, the service was excellent, and the interior was beautiful and stylish. There’s convenient parking with validation, and the area around is full of nice little shops, which makes it even more enjoyable to visit. Everything was comfortable, beautiful, and on the highest level. Highly recommend!“

“Finally came to Ahgassi Gopchang on my latest trip to LA. My friends had been raving about it. We got there around 5:30 on a Sunday and only waited maybe 10–15 minutes for a table for 3. Loved looking at all the Kpop groups and celebrity signatures in the meantime.
We ordered the large intestine bbq selection for 3 people, and it was SO GOOD. One of the best meals I’ve had recently. So nice that the servers help cook the meat — I would not have known when they were fully cooked. The banchan and sides are also delicious. Loved the steamed egg and cold broth. The intestine is so flavorful, chewy and succulent — barely needed the sauces.
Toward the end, servers used the remaining intestines and fat to make fried rice. We were so full at that point, but it was so good. I legitimately can’t wait to plan another trip to LA just to go to Ahgassi again. For 3 people plus soju and including tip, we paid $172 ($57/person).“

“Yuppp. This was a nice surprise. Like a family owned hole in the wall. Almost don’t want to review it and keep it to myself. Had the mushroom soup and vegetable only friend glass noodle. Literally the best flavor and the perfect amount for 2. Service was prompt and price was RIGHT! They do have some pairing out back and the area is not too congested.“

“The best AYCE Korean bbq restaurant. Meat quality is top-notch. They grill the meat for you but still allow you to enjoy the food at your own speed. I tried almost every meat and my favorite is the marinated beef rib with bone. It melted in my mouth. I love it and will come back.👍🏻“

“Great kbbq place with fresh ingredients and a wide variety of side dishes. They don’t have AYCE here, only combinations — I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food for the one we got. The kimchi fried rice was good, and the meats were all very fresh and tasted delicious with the accompanying sauces. The servers were also more involved in the meat grilling, even for those of us who had experience kbbq before. They also had fun robots around to bring out and take away dishes. We made reservations, which I’d recommend as it was pretty crowded when we went.“

“We ate inside at the counter and tried a little bit of a few things off the menu. The sweet & spicy fried chicken and fried chicken dumplings were delicious. 😋🍴 We also tried the bulgogi and spicy chicken bowl and both were so delicious. As a side note, the man that waited on us (not sure if it was the owner or not) was very nice and hospitable. ☺️“

“Danbi is a Michelin notes BiB establishment in the burgeoning Korea Town of Los Angeles. I was lucky to get a seat to take it in.
The space us ultra hip and chic. Darker vibe but with lots of cool adornments. It's noisy here in a good way. The place is electric.
The service is AMAZING. I had the pleasure of sitting at the bar and all of the staff were so helpful, engaging and attentive.
The food was amazing! Zabuton was perfect. The uni bibimbap was superb. And the cocktail offering was genius!

“The attention from servers is great it feels like if you are at someone's home with very nice grandmas caring for you. We ordered the Sogogi Suyug plater (beef), and the Ujok Suyug plater (tendon) we also ordered the Galbi Tang soup and the Sukkur Sullung Tang soup. Both have beef but the soup base is different one is more fatty rich and the other one is more light and clear but both flavorful and different noodles. Rice comes with your meal along with Kim chi and other sides. The space is small and you may have to wait to be seated. We were lucky to avoid the lunch time crowd. Price was good for what we got.“

“Grabbed a res day of to stop here before a show at the Wiltern and what a perfect little plan that was! I told them we were tight on time because of a show and they went out of their way to accommodate, making sure we got our table as soon as possible and fired all our food QUICKLY! We had some great recommended soju and 5 dishes between 2 people. Our favorites were the salmon kimbap, the uni tteok-bokki and the shrimp toast. (Note, we don’t eat red meat so cannot comment on those dishes). The crudo was a tad overdressed but fish was fresh. Highly recommend for a small party for pre show or pre night out dinner.“

“Ordered a 2 item combo (half and half chicken plus rice cake in rose mara sauce with ramen add on), a half and half chicken order, and a seafood pancake. Our group picked a total of 4 chicken flavors, their original fried chicken, sweet and spicy, habanero garlic chicken, and honey. All of these flavors were very good, the original had a great fried exterior and you could add some of the rose mara sauce from the rice cake to spice it up. The Sweet and spicy chicken was a very light spice, moreso sweet with a syrupy coating on the chicken. The Habanero garlic chicken was spicier if you had a piece of the habanero pepper on it but otherwise, this was an alright choice. The honey chicken was sweet and the syrupy coating was very nice. The rice cake in rose mara sauce with ramen was a mouth watering plate of rice cake, fish cake, glass noodles, and the ramen coated with their creamy and spicy rose mara sauce. This was a big plate to share with a small group. The rice cake and fish cake were chewy and the glass noodles were fun to slurp up. Adding ramen was a good choice as there was plenty of rose mara sauce left to soak up, even some leftover to add to the fried chicken. The seafood pancake was notable for small bite size pieces of calamari and other seafood. It fell apart a bit easily because of the green onion slices that were holding it together. Service was fast, and they were quite patient taking our order. There is a call button installed on the table if you need their attention. The interior is very retro 90s South Korean with brick walls, oversized bench seats and kpop playing in the background. Parking is also adequate with enough above ground parking places. Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a meal with friends together craving Korean style fried chicken.“

“The place to go for delicious pork kbbq! I highly recommend the thick pork belly, marinated pork ribs, and the corn cheese. The pork marinade was flavorful and not as sweet as other kbbq places. They give a nice variety of side dishes which were really good with the pork belly.
The service was also top notch. Very attentive and friendly.“

“Very great food and good service. Good decor and there is lots of parking outside. Only downside is the menu is only in Korean but just use google translate.

“Came for lunch alone, it was fairly busy around 12:00 to 1:00 pm and got a table. Order the combo dumplings along with fried pork cutlets. The Dumplings were ok, nothing to specials, Loved the pork cutlet comes with barbeque sauce, small salad, and dark rice. The server was nice and polite even though there was a language barrier we managed to easily commuincate. I'll order from here again, but take out only.“

“I recently visited Kobawoo House, a Korean restaurant in Koreatown, with some friends, and we had a fantastic time! We ordered a spread of dishes to share: bossam, kimchi jjigae, gamjajeon, and haemul pajeon. The bossam was tender and perfectly paired with the fresh wraps and sauces, while the kimchi jjigae had a rich, spicy kick that hit all the right spots. The gamjajeon (potato pancake) was crispy and comforting, and the haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) was loaded with fresh seafood and had that perfect chewy-crisp texture. Everything was flavorful, authentic, and great for sharing. The vibe was cozy, the service was friendly, and we left stuffed and happy. Definitely recommend Kobawoo House for a solid Korean meal in K-town!“
“Came for a late night meal, service was great! There is a parking lot with plenty of parking in the back. Shoutout to Leslie for preparing this amazing fried rice! I’ve been to the other Baekjeong locations, and the only negative I would say is the marinated boneless short rib was a bit chewy. But other than that, the meats are always high quality! Will definitely be back again.“

“I am by no means a seolleongtang connoisseur but Hanbat is well-known for a reason! They have a very small menu but they are very good at what they serve. I opted for the brisket in the soup. The beef bone broth is very beefy and the brisket is very tender. The meat to soup ratio is higher than what I expected, probably also because it sinks to the bottom of the bowl. Their rice was perfectly chewy and fluffy, and kimchi was refreshing. Keep in mind that to-go containers are an extra $0.50 so bring your own if you anticipate you will have leftovers! The portion is not huge though.“
