“This place was amazing for an inexperienced KBBQ'er. It was me and my partner (Chinese and White). The staff were so friendly and helped explain what dishes were and how to eat them. They also cooked the meat and sides for us so we didnt have to stress over that part for our first time. The owner ended up serving us due to the flow of people and Chris/Kris was amazing. She let us try the house made Lemon Soju and really solidified that we would be coming back. Our other server was amazing and she took care of us majority of the night, I didnt catch her name but I also forgot my card there and she caught up to me like half a block to give it back. So sweet and above and beyond. We got a plate of Brisket and Bulgogi with two Soju bottles peach and strawberry. The house lemon one was my favorite though and we will be getting it next time we go.We street parked and payed $1.25 until 8pm hit and didnt have to pay anymore.“
“No frills teriyaki spot. The entrance was confusing. It looks like a glass storefront but it's an automatic sliding door that isn't very sensitive or quick. So you need to stand there and then it will open after a short delay. Service was quick, food was decent. Price is fair for Pasadena.“
“The black sesame shaved ice was a standout, boasting a rich and robust flavor that satisfied my cravings for something bold. However, the green tea flavor fell short of my expectations. It leaned towards the sugary side rather than capturing the authentic essence of green tea that I had remembered. The mochi on the side was a letdown, as it turned out to be disappointingly hard. It lacked the soft, chewy texture that would have complemented the shaved ice perfectly. Despite the inconsistency in flavors and the mochi misstep, Oakobing still has potential with some improvements. If you're a black sesame fan, it might be worth a try, but be cautious if you're expecting the same excellence across all flavors and toppings.“
“OMG! Soooo Gooodddd! Don't go anywhere else, this place is legit, and it's tasteful. 100 percent quality teriyaki done right, not over cooked, or undercooked. No scrappy meat, or odd ball rice and noodles. Very good tasting and very delicious from beginning to end.I am definitely saving this spot and will be coming back for many more! Parking is a challenge, so order ahead or plan it right to get your food. Other than that, the lady this morning was extremely helpful and courteous for a 1st time visit that superseded my expectations!Thank you!!“
“Indulged in Korean-Japanese cuisine, from Mentaiko Pasta to the crispy Bossam Chicharon board. The Spicy Pork Bao and Salmon Crudo were a perfect balance of savory and fresh. And to complement the fusion of flavors, sipped on refreshing Mount Yoshino, Peach Lemon Drop, and Mix N Matcha cocktails. Everything was flavorful and cocktails were all unique with pretty presentation!“
“Great service, great food. The server who got my online order was so kind and nice, told me every detail while calling. I think her name is Janice L. I want to appreciate her professional manner and kindness.Parking: Finding a free parking space right in front of the restaurant is very hard, especially during dinner time.“
“Good introduction to K-BBQ for anyone non Korean. No need for a Korean friend menu is in English only.Menu is well focused on the Korean BBQ staples - combos are Great for beginners, and "all you can eat" is available for the gluttons.Parking: Follow street signs don't get a ticket.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to enter or for bathroom“
“If your a fan of food that is not fatty and fried and not overly expensive, this place is still a good option. As with all food, prices have gone up and size down, but they do a good job keeping things fresh and as flavorful, with the sauces, as you prefer. They no longer allow you to get your own sauses but just ask if you want more.“
“A David Chang restaurant in LA. I've been to his Momofuku restaurant in NYC and loved it so I naturally had to try Majordomo. You have to plan ahead to reserve the short rib special and it is amazing. They cut it tableside and serve it lettuce, kitchen, and radishes. Such a good balance of flavors but the prime rib by itself is very flavorful and smoky. The Bing is also a must with the cultured butter and honey. This is seriously addictive. We also had the mussels with the crispy rice which was also delicious.Overall, the vibe of the restaurants was great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.“
“This place is a 10/10 for sure! I can honestly respect the honesty from the owner as he did let us know before hand it would take an hour for the food to be ready. Totally worth the wait!!!! The food was made fresh to order and had so much flavor. I mean the shrimp plate was so delicious, everything we purchased was so delicious. Definitely going back again and trying different items.“
“This place was awesome. First of all, Lena our waitress was so kind and willing to explain the menu to us as this was our first time. The food was delicious, I recommend getting a combo so you can try many different things. Not only was the food good but the experience was amazing as well. Lena cooked the meats on front of us (she cooked them perfectly) and you could add seasonings and sauces. Additionally, the sides are brought by ROBOTS. My little sister loved this and couldn't stop giggling every time a robot came by and dropped of some kimchi which was free with the combo. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you Lena!“
“1st Tryout After Seeing Rave Reviews. They Serve St Menu Only. Tae (A Bridge Over Paddy & Fields) / Yang (A Lotus Flower In The Mud) / Saeng (Life Begins) / Dae (Sometimes Nomadic) / Wang (Remain In Between) / Wang (Remain In Between) / Byung (Finally Realize) / Jeol (Wait For Another w Doubt). Beef Short Ribs Stand Out. Overall , It Was A Very Good Food & Enjoyable Experience.“
“I work at a plastic surgery clinic where we often have lunch together as a group. With almost 30 people, it can be difficult to decide on a menu each time. However, we recently tried ordering food for all 30 of us from here and we were all pleasantly surprised by how perfect everything was. Personally, I absolutely loved the Yuja chicken and the addition of Korean Kimchi on the side was just perfect. The fries were incredibly crunchy and fresh as well.Another dish that stood out was the pesto with fried tofu our doctors were really into it! In fact, we have already ordered food from here more than three times. I highly recommend it!Lastly, I want to mention how clean and unique their to go boxes are. It truly made me happy.“
“Our second time dining here, this time we brought friends. It was perfect and food, service was awesome. However I was a bit disappointed by the lobster pot pie.... It was not what I was expecting, lobster was cold and just didn't taste right. Other than that, great place to fine“
“Looking for a good daechang, gopchang, and makchang spot? This is the place to satisfy your intestine cravings They also have a great selection on meat options if you're not really into intestines but if you're a true foodie and haven't had this before, I suggest you give it a try to experience something new. Don't just judge by the looks 'cus you will be surprised how good they taste. For first timers, I recommend taking your avid Korean foodie friends so they can show you how they eat this, and go for the large intestines or abomasum first. This place is usually always packed even on weekday evenings so that explains how good it is. Our server was great at cooking our meat and friendly which made our dining experience that much better.“
“Omma’s is solid for a quick bite. They’re always on point and will throw in the potato salad if you ask. This is a once a week visit for me and my family. If we don’t go in person at Ari Rang Tofu House, this is the place to go when we do takeout.“
“Joseon is an excellent choice for a great date night in Silverlake, Los Angeles. The "less is more" ambiance is favorable, the music is not loud so conversations come easier, the staff is attentive, and the food is pretty special. The name gives the impression of a golden era of Korean dining, and an experience designed for royalty, and we definitely felt that throughout the night. My partner and I started with a cocktail/mocktail because they sounded unique (and they were). We ordered a 7 course and a 5 course, thinking that we could try to get a good variety when there were two options for some of the courses. We opted for wine flight pairing as well, and were surprised how well selected the options were. I'd recommend that a party of 2 orders the same number of courses, however, because we didn't always both get a course. We shared about everything though, so it ended up being fine. Also, knowing the process to expect for a 7 course meal will make a difference in how you appreciate the timing. Courses are spaced out by anywhere from 15-25 minutes, so expect to be in the restaurant for at least 2-2/12 hours, or more. We were at our table for just short of 3 hours, but we also talked with the staff a bit while enjoying an espresso with dessert. This kind of timing, in this context, is a good thing, because it means that the kitchen doesn't have a bunch of plates being pre-made then waiting to be delivered by wait staff who also have other tables to attend to. The chef freshly prepares each dish for your specific table, and then it's presented immediately. That makes for a top quality dining experience, where each of these dishes was not only a work of art but also presented for enjoyment, just as the chef and their team intends. We enjoyed the 7 courses! I think our favorite was the Braised Stew with Sea Bass, and the Rice Cake dish with Zucchini Blossom. The Sea Trout Tartare was also a nice way to start the meal. The aromas coming off many of those dishes was memorable. The dessert they brought wasn't on the menu, and came complementary for us, I don't know if they typically charge for dessert. One was some fresh cantaloupe with a special sweet sauce (they called it a palate cleanser), and one was an amazing rice pudding creme brûlée, it was an outstanding way to finish our evening. We will be back, next time we'll make it a double date!“
“The chicken burger was very tender and juicy. loved the pineapple set it apart from the other chicken burgers. Restaurant is super clean and organized and great service. wings and fries were a bit to crispy/dry to my liking. The Jojo fries were perfect and onion rings. Also got a complimentary drink for being there anniversary. Definitely coming back.“
“This is my first time trying Korean-Latin cuisine, which is so delicious! The owner suggested ordering the kalbi cheese fries which I'm glad that I ordered it! I got the rock combination plate and double cheeseburger as well! They have a self serve salad bar near the front which is convenient! The staff here so very friendly and it was a little empty at that time we came in so they were able to help us out! I loved how they put the posters around the store!“
“This place was amazing. We came it with a group of 10, and we got set up with a table right away. They got our orders quickly, and then appetizers and food came out just as quick. However, the food was probably the best Korean fried chicken I have had in a long time. The sauce flavors were delicious, chicken was crunchy. Definitely have to try Korean BBQ , Lemon Pepper (dry), and the Sweet Chili Wings. Even the Bulgogi Pizza was great. Great little hole in the wall spot. Will have to come backWheelchair accessibility: It's a dive in location off the strip of the downtown location. Entrance is level with sidewalk, so wheelchair can roll right it, and there are a couple tables that can be set up with wheelchair seating. I can not vouch for the restroom as I did not check.“
“Finally got the chance to try this dessert place after always passing by. I got the pure milk soft serve and 3 pieces of taiyaki in custard and red bean. The soft serve is a nice texture and it's very soft. The milk is a bit too sweet, in my opinion. And you can self serve on several toppings for the soft serve. The taiyaki is very good, just wish that it is a bit more crispy. They give a generous amount of filling inside the taiyaki. Inside is a small place. They only have a bench and a couple of stools. Overall, a great dessert place!“
“My boyfriend and I love this place. Staff: took good care of us and very helpful and were so polite and helped us out. Irene and jay? (Sorry I forgot his name) we're awesome! I hope I get one of them again. Place: it was very welcoming and the artwork is beautiful. Place and the restroom was top notch clean. Food: absolutely amazing! I don't know which one is my fav. Meat selection was superb "a kiss to the chef" Overall: I love it and look forward to going back“
“My former colleague from Daycare job and I met up here to dine in on Dec/5/23 on my day off. What delish treats these Korean Rice Plates are!!!! Customer service was topnotch and right off the bat when we were having a hard time deciding if we wanted to fetch their Holiday Korean Dumpling deal at $29.99 for a frozen bag and 4 packs of mixed and matched dumplings. I had to get me a set so my mom and I can reduce cooking time this holiday month of Dec/23. Anyways, I ordered their Korean Rice (Beef) plate to go, and that was huge and delish, good enough for 2 meals. I was only able to chow down half of it. This was our first time here, and we both had a fabulous time here. We will meet back here again next time visiting 'Manduyo,' Authentic Korean Cuisine. Even your side salad dish that was included in the plate was all fresh: there was nothing bitter from any piece of salad veggies I ate. I'll be back on my next shift!!!!W2G, 'Manduyo,' of San Gabriel, CA. You had me at Hello.“
“The rose spicy rice cake is indeed very pasta-like, very fragrant and delicious?? The kimbap is very refreshing and small, but the portion is sufficient. The best thing is the sauce that comes with it. The mustard flavor is super refreshing, and I am amazed at one bite. My husband and I are both Love it ~ Recommend it~ The fried chicken is crispy and the sauce is rich, the portion is larger than other restaurants, overall it’s great value“
“We (3 generations, my parents, myself, and my kids now) have been eating here for 30 years. This place offers the best "Soondae" soup (Korean style sausage soup) but it might be too original for non Koreans unless you are into that sort of things.“
“After success with the jajiang noodles, I had to try the stall right next door. Inside the fantastic Hmart market, is Kazu Mori. I’d say Katsu is there specialty with pork and chicken. I had the pork tonkatsu with curry. Huge portions and so good. I actually thought I was a bit pricey bit after I saw the quality and portions, I reconsider. Also, not a Bricks and mortar saves a bit.I think the key is to get a bunch of people and order two or three items from each stall. The choice are fantastic.“
“This is probably one of the best Korean fried chicken spots I’ve ever been to and the garlic sauce is the best!I ordered two large drumsticks with the sweet & sour/garlic sauce on the side. The chicken pieces were very tender and juicy with a profound crispness. Overall a really delicious fried chicken meal and the garlic sauce took it to the top.The sweet potato fries were descent but wish there was some type of creamy sweet sauce to dip with it. The corn cheese was also delicious, very cheesy and sweet which complimented the fried chicken flavor. The fried squid was also good and a little too chewy for me but the flavor was there. The coleslaw was pretty good and subtle. It matched well with the fried chiefs and overall it was a great lunch.Customer service was great and super friendly. I’d definitely come back here again and probably try their wings instead.“
“Visited Cafe Jane on a Tuesday around noonish. There was ample seating available and the wait time for our food to come out was very minimal. The americano was deliciously bold and my mom was delighted by their mocha. We shared two entrees: the breakfast sandwich and the orange french toast. The breakfast sandwich had really fluffy soft scrambled eggs and the brioche was a nice bite. The French toast was OuT oF tHIs WoRLd! - loads of citrus and balanced with the subtle sweetness of fried bananas. Will be back to try their rice bowls. Overall score: ?/?.“
“Hidden gem in Monrovia. If you're looking for some good Korean food in the 626, look no further! KBop is located in a small shopping plaza on Huntington Drive. I recently saw a food blogger on IG post about KBop and I had bookmarked them as a place to try.I've been tricked by IG reviews before, so I decided to do some homework on Yelp before trying it and the reviews were good. So, I placed my order via their website for pick up. I got food for me and my parents. The food was ready when I got there and the staff was friendly. Condiments and utensils were in the bag and ready to go. I ordered 3 KBop bowls with different proteins/rice for each person, an order of the KBop fries with the spicy pork and an a la carte order of the boneless wings (Soy Garlic). The bowls are huge and can pass for multiple meals. The chicken/beef was nicely flavored and very tender. The egg on KBop bowls didn't travel well - the yolk cooked all the way thru by the time I got back home. The fries also didn't travel well. The spicy pork had a nice kick to it, not too spicy, but just enough.A couple days later, my mom asked "Can you go get that Korean Chicken for dinner again?" She must've REALLY liked it to ask for it again. Can't say no to mom right? So this time around, I the 3 KBop bowls and 2 orders of the a la carte wings (Soy Garlic & the Sweet Chile). Both flavors are very good. Will be making this spot a regular on the rotation -“
“Was recommended to come to this place. This is my first time here, I wanted to order everything. It all looks so good. Amazing customer service ,very fresh food. Everything served super hot. Best kimchi i've ever had. I will drive all the way back to this place. Can't wait to. To come back again and try something different“
“First time but I loved it. Food is great and fresh as it stays busy. Service is ok and ambience is nice. Although if you don't like noisy places. I don't think this place is for you. They have a time limit for dining which is understandable but they kinda rush you to eat.“
“Food is good. Boba more like less authentic. Everything good just you make sure they don't go wrong on your order. My Boba had a peace of plastic. Hopefully they get better.Parking: It's always almost full because of subway or Dennys but pretty sure you'll find parking .Kid-friendliness: A small place.“
“Excellent service and excellent quality of foods! I had Kalbitang (beef bone soup with glass noodle) and tojong soondae. Both were gluten free dairy free. I am super symptomatic celiac and allergic to gluten and I felt good after eating.Side dishes are not gluten free Kimchi, radish kimchi nothing is gluten free so don’t touch them.I have two kids and the server quickly brought a high chair, extra soup bowls and plastic spoons and forks for them. He also brought scissors and tongs for me to cut the foods for them.“
“Their soy garlic is real good here. We ordered the group meal, which came with wings and drumsticks, and 2 sides. Only the wings come with sauce but you can dip the crispy drumsticks in the extra sauce for more soy garlic goodness.Service is great. Seating is limited inside and outside. There’s free parking in their lot and on the streets.“
“Sometimes a reservation is necessary but for 3 people at 9pm on a Saturday we didn't need one (though I liked the ease of being able to make one last minute). Not super knowledgeable/friendly for those with allergies so keep that in mind. Otherwise, a great meal for a group.“
“I LOVE this place for a quick bento pickup. Reminded me of the Broken Mouth (cheap eats that create food explosions in your mouth). Salad dressing is like crack. All the dishes are amazing. Support small businesses like this one. They deserve it!“
“I've always tried to like Korean corn dogs, but I'm too biased towards having more meat and less batter in my corn dogs. They do offer full sausages at a premium, but still feels kinda small. Still, if you're someone who likes this kind of food, you'll enjoy the selection that they offer “
“Highly Highly recommend this place for Korean Sushi called: KimBap! I orderd the Tuna and Beef Bulgogi and it was so delicious I ended up eating it all in one sitting lol. The cucumber kimchi above is made by me lol. KimBap for $10! Next time I'll have to try the fish cake kimbap!I Door Dashed this order.“
“This take out place has huge potential to grow. Ordered the pork belly rice box and it was ono. Like that onions and bell peppers were stir-fried with the pork belly sauce and poured over white rice. Really added great flavor to this dish. Also like the kim chee in separate container so uneated portion can be refrigerated. Love Kim chee and theirs were just right not too spicy. Its a shame their hours are limited but all the reason to stop by when they are open. Will be returning to try the other Korean dishes.“
“Cute place. Lovely staff. Neat atmosphere. When you walk in through the humble entryway, you're immediately greeted by a welcoming smile and a hello. We were asked if we wanted to dine or order takeout. Dining in offers you seating options up the stairs into the the room you can see to through the open wall at it's floor level. I found it quite enjoyable being able to see into the room above. Very cool style. You order, then you eat. You pay at the end. My friends and I were treated well and wished a happy holiday. So thoughtful! If you're looking for something new, try here!“
“Dined here for lunch on Sunday, and I was so happy that my friends picked this restaurant! We started off with yukhoe (raw beef), a variety of pork dishes and seafood pancake. Everything tasted great, and staff members stopped by frequently to help us cook and enjoy the BBQ. It was crowded but we had no wait as we were there earlier for lunch.“
“I highly recommend this restaurant! The Grilled Pork Ribs were outstanding! The quality of the vegetable dishes exceeded my expectations-fresh, crisp and tasty. When looking for a simple but delicious meal Fork Over Pork is the place to be!!! Customer service-stellar.“
“I did not really eat Korean food during my 2 weeks in Japan, so I was craving Korean food. I've known of the bb.q Chicken chain for a while now, and I saw they had a branch in Alhambra. I cannot eat a ton of fried chicken on my own, but I saw that this restaurant had other dishes as well. I decided to come here and give bb.q Chicken a try. They had a free soda with Yelp check in. My wife got a diet coke, and I ordered water. The restaurant gives complimentary pickled radishes. The staff are very nice and friendly. My wife ordered the tteokbokki, whereas I got the kimchi fried rice. I was torn between the fried rice and the bulgogi poutine, but I also knew I wanted rice, so I got the kimchi fried rice. My wife and I shared our dishes. The tteokbokki was good, sweet and spicy. The rice cakes were a nice texture. The kimchi fried rice was also solid, but a bit spicy for me.Given how close it is to me, I will definitely come back in the future to try their fried chicken.“
“K’grill Korean Cuisine is a delightful spot for authentic Korean flavors. The Bulgogi melted in my mouth, and the Kimchi struck a perfect balance of spice and tang. Service was exceptional—attentive, swift, and always with a smile. It’s a cozy place for a top-notch dining experience. Highly recommend!“
“Came here for N early lunch, had the pork and rice soup. It was delicious, it had a lot of pork belly and garlic chives and a delicious dumpling in the soup. The dish came with a side of rice and the banchan was flavorful and fresh. I also had a mixed rice drink which reminded me of horchata. Overall I will be returning and recommend this place to others. Oh also a note on the service it was wonderful, they took my order promptly and were very friendly“
“Always a solid meal that satisfies my Korean food cravings. When under weather I always get the Korean ginsing chicken soup. It's packed with a lot of nutrients and collagen. The entire Cornish hen is stuffed with dates, short grain rice, and chestnuts. Really helps one feel better quickly. The other food is always consistently good. Donkatsu is a crowd pleaser, soon tofu always a hit as well. The banchan I always enjoy and appreciate the freshness of it. Don't miss this pl“
“Discovered this gem on Doordash and ordered as takeout. I'm so glad I found this place and surprised it isn't more well known! I really enjoyed the ox bone sullungtang as it was milky and rich with umami flavor. I didn't even need to add salt! I also really enjoyed the radish in soy sauce and thought it paired really well with the brisket. I wasn't a fan of their kimchi, however, but the radish kimchi was decent. I think the broth is the star part of the meal and hope to dine in at this restaurant one day!“
“Fantastic restaurant! They are known, as the name in Korean suggests, for their cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew). Absolutely delicious. The staff working here take care of every detail in the service as well as the food. Price is also good. This is definitely one of the gems of ktown - homey, authentic, and delicious. Ample parking, but the restaurant itself is on the smaller side. There can be a small wait if coming at a popular time.“
“This is the Little Tokyo outlet of Somi Somi dessert chain. This chain is quite popular since it is not your typical ice cream parlor. They serve soft serve ice cream with various milk flavors. They also serve ice cream with tai yaki cakes on top. It is Japanese milk and tai yaki themed desserts which is different than traditional ice cream shops. Since this is located across from Little Tokyo shopping mall there is no free parking.“
“Food was good but heavy! This is a loud restaurant and is good if you're wanting a bar style environment with food and drinks. Hence the name - pocha. One of the owners or managers was walking around checking on customers which was so nice. Overall, I enjoyed the food and service was decent but it was a little too heavy for me so I probably won't return.“
