“This place is not what most people would think it is. We live three miles away and, at first glance, it might appear like your standard American-Mexican restaurant, where one would find gorgeous mounds of beans and cheese and sour cream and whatnot. This is not this place at all.Whoever is creating the menu and making the food here is top notch and knows what they're doing. It's a semi-fine-dining restaurant in disguise as your local Mexican joint. For example, they have tacos and flautas with calabasa, and the salsa with them is riduclously tasty. I ordered their Mexican Pizza for the first time yesterday, and it was piled high with peppers, mushrooms, kernal corn, well-made shredded beef, along with the usual accompaniments. They have the traditional Mexican dishes as well, but they aren't greasy or thrown together; it's all made with care and class...even if it's to go. They have hipster-like margaritas in all sorts of flavors, cocktails to boot, and the bartenders are on it. And the best part? They don't skimp. It is reasonably priced and you get lots of bang for your buck.Simply put, it's quite good.“

“This was a great experience I totally love the atmosphere here. The jukeboxes at the table did not function and we wasted a few quarters. The food was decent. I was the only one to experience an order that went wrong but honestly it was a small mess up and they fixed it promptly. The service was top notch and they provided a nice little birthday dinner for my family“

“My daughter loves this barn. She was able to feed all the farm animals. We recently discovered they sell yummy pies and absolutely had to take home some to work. It was my first time trying grilled sweet corn it is so delicious. We just had ours plain, so we were really able to taste the corn without any added condiment. We will definitely keep trying to come back.“

“I had one of the best meals in years here today. This is unpretentious food gorgeously made and served perfectly. Savoury cheesy bread pudding, butternut squash soup with cumin puree (genius), bologna sammy, avocado toast, pot de creme...easy to make, right? No....not like whoever made this for us. This was a perfect meal, and it was quite busy too...all the more reason for props. Well done you.“

“This was our first time. The ribeye steak was very good and perfectly cooked. The filet mignon was a little thinly cut and overcooked. They vegetables accompanying the steaks were good. The strawberry desert was very good and refreshing. Our service was excellent. We had heard such outstanding things about the restaurant that it just didn't match our expectations. I thought it was a very good meal at a high price.“

“The food was awesome, but it tasted a bit bland and it could be a bit sweeter. You must try it as it is very good overall. The space inside is very small and there is not much room to move. The workers were very nice and helpful. I think that you should definitely give this place a try and support this small business.i also loved all the decorations and the inspirational quotes on the inside. I loved the mirror in the bathroom and the back of the door. They also, have a lot of different food options. “We stop for Del's every time we come thru Pismo! The service is always good but last night when Joe the manager served us, it was EXCEPTIONAL, along with the food of course... We got the Meatball Hero, steamed fresh veggies, margarita pizza add pepperoni, and some mud pie for dessert. Everything was fantastic and soooo cheesy! “Craving some sourdough bread I decided to visit Grover Beach sourdough co. I wasn't sure what I wanted... Anyhow I ended up with a mini loaf of Rosemary sea salt sourdough bread. Immediately after getting into my car I ripped off a tiny chunk. I was super impressed with the texture, flavor, and hint of Rosemary. I loved it!! I also noticed they offered breakfast as well. Biscuits, eggs, pastries etc I definitely want to come back and try other menu items.“

“If you love cinnamon rolls, this is a must visit. There were 9 varieties. Some outdoor seating, but no view. We had the original and the cream cheese frosting. The rolls were warm and full of cinnamon flavor. A hot coffee and we were set to walk down the Pismo pier.“

“Great service, very friendly staff, great portions, salsas arent spicy but delicious flavors to them. Only problem I had (and it's my opinion) I think the burrito would have better flavor with refried beans instead of boiled beans and the asada could use a little more seasoning. Kinda bland, and guac was also bland. But over all, I would still recommend this place and I'll be back for sure to try more things on their massive menu!“

“I was really craving some fish and chips while I was in Pismo but the lines everywhere were soooo long that I decided to look up places nearby that were (hopefully) less busy.. Mersea's came up first so we hopped in the car and drove to avila to try it out! The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the resturant allows dogs indoors, which you don't see often! I really liked the decor in here, it was very steampunk sea themed, and they had some cool little features like port holes that looked to the water below (the resturant is on the peir!) but the place was SO SMALL that we had to stand in the walk way while we waited for our food because there were no more tables inside and it was SO WINDY outside! I really enjoyed the fish and chips, and my toddler enjoyed the chicken strips, but the rest of my family was left underwhelmed with their meals and said they wouldn't stop here again. ‍ Ultimately, I'd say this place is a great choice if you want to get away from the crowed restaurants near by, but keep in mind that the seating is limited indoors.“

“Cute local place with great sandwiches. It is small inside so we grabbed our food and headed to the beach. I ordered the veggie sando with extra avocado and my partner ordered the turkey pesto. Dude!!! The bread on the turkey was perfection and the sandwich ingredients were even better. The veggie was super fresh. It was a perfect lunch for a perfect beach excursion!“

“Brooks is our go-to place every time we visit the Pismo area. I always ordered the marshroom burger, but this time, I ordered Golden State Burger combo with tator tots. It has all the burger trimmings with eggs, bacon, and onion rings inside. The eggs give it a good flavor, and the onion rings made it crunchy on every bite. The burger is huge so I will advise to order this when you're really hungry. :-)“

“We are from the Bay Area, but Zorro’s is probably my top restaurant for Mexican food among all we frequent. Tastes are exquisite. A very large selection. Staff is friendly and efficient. I wish we could go there each week, but alas, we would have to travel 200 miles to do so. You will not regret this. Enjoy and savor the experience.“

“This is my favorite taco shop in this area. The ceviche. Guys, the ceviche. It is the perfect combination of bright citrus and fresh onion and great seafood. It comes with a generous amount of chips and their salsas are phenomenal (they only have spicy ones but I highly recommend both the orange and the green). The butter beef tacos are also fantastic. So go try it. It is very very worth it.“

“My first visit to Julia's was this afternoon and I was quit happily surprised. I ordered the chicken mole tacos and a cup of the butternut soup and we ate every bite. The sign on the wall they buy farm fresh foods daily. It was very fresh and delicious. Plus the tacos were generously topped with a diced medley of veggies. The soup was for Dan, who loves squash. I usually don't like it at all what a wonderful surprise there too. I couldn't stop sopping at it. The entire experience will definitely have me returning soon! The two tacos and soup only cost us $21.00, another great reason to go back, we can't wait to try more of their healthy meals.“

You can browse the mermaid and ocean themed gifts throughout the store while you wait in a short line for the highest quality ice cream I have ever tasted in my entire life....and let me tell you I have experienced some amazing ice cream from across the world. The friendly ice cream server answered my questions with a smile and in-depth knowledge about the various flavors and ingredients...I was pleasantly surprised and her recommendations were on point. “This is my favorite restaurant in the area, though I was deeply disappointed with my meal today. I ordered the “wild mushroom omelette”, and it was severely underwhelming. It felt as if it was just thrown together without much thought. There was almost no Gruyère cheese, and the “exotic mushrooms” contained just small button mushrooms. It was basically a flap of egg omelette with no flavor, and very little filling. Zero flavor whatsoever. This either needs to be revamped, or complete removed from your menu. I had the most incredible dinner the evening prior, and returned several disappointed by this meal.The server was nice, and asked me if I wanted something else. The manager was in a meeting and I wasn’t able to communicate with her.“

“My bf and I were driving home from SoCal to NorCal and we stumbled to this cafe. They were closing within 40 mins when we got there. The restaurant looks and feel so clean. We bought a few items to eat on the car ride. Cilantro chicken salad, cranberry cookie (I ate this first while waiting for our food, and Chicken Banh Mi sandwich. I loved my salad, it was perfect and well flavored. The cookie is delicious with crispy around the edge and gooey center. My bf loved his banh mi sandwich but I like the salad more :))) I am so glad we stop by here at this cafe and no drive into In n Out or other fast food joint that is near by. It's hard to stay healthy on the go.“

“I was able to buy some Kona coffee from Hawaii here for my Dad which is very hard to find since this brand is only sold on one of the islands. The service was great here. They gave me a free cold brew too which was very good. The ambiance is very decorated with items from Hawaii.“
