“While I am unable to truly post a review on the “atmosphere” due to it pouring rain and I was the only customer there, the umbrellas (clearly meant to provide shade from the sun) were a welcome cover to the sudden downpour and so was the tri tip sandwich. Delicious! It was a great meal following my amazing experience ATV riding on the Dunes. Combining for a brilliant start to my day. Rain and wind can’t ruin a great thing! Also the owner threw in a complimentary Clam Chowder, probably based on the fact that I supported them on a day when due to the weather, he wouldn’t be very busy. The Chowder was excellent, flavorful and filling! Remember though this spot is outside seating only, so be prepared for rain or shine!“

“Defiantly NOT Authentic but still so delicious. Stopped by on a very busy saturday and only waited 15 minutes to be seated so not too bad. The food ordered were really slow but luckily the server was re-filling the chips and salsa fairly quick. The drinks were really good and plenty of options of tequila. The decor was on nice from the cups to the tables. Overall my experience was good.“

“Little out of the way whole in the wall, with great burgers. Go hungry! We had the Bacon Cheeseburger, Mushroom Burger, Half pound of onion rings and deep fried mushrooms. Everything was awesome. This is a place to grab a great messy burger. Nothing fancy just good food in a local spot. Order at the counter and they, bring your food out to ya.“

“Crab soup was wonderful. Scallops were fine/nothing special. The purple sweet potatoes were pureed and tasted like snotty, runny baby food. The swordfish served with bordelaise sauce didn't work. The crabcake lillikoi pepper jelly was way too overwhelming.Sadly disappointed.“
“This barn is very unique. Fun experience for the family. You can feed the goats and chicken. Purchase really cool handmade soap and other souvenirs. You will enjoy the little farmer market on-site. There are home made ice cream and more treats.“

“Driving through town, we needed a bite and want to thank all you 5-star reviewers of Spoon Trade for steering us here because the food was fantastic! It was a busy Saturday afternoon and we got one of the last tables available. Super friendly service straight away and a great vibe all around. Very interesting menu! A diner for foodies. Wife had the vegetarian Tikka with a side sausage patty, which she loved, and my son had the Benedict, which of course I tasted via dad tax and it was rich and yummy. I was going to get the chicken and waffles, which looked delicious on other people's tables, but opted for the duck noodle soup, which was a tasty ramen. It was on the pricy side, but everything was such great quality, original recipes, and made to order. We look forward to visiting again!“

“This is one of those "off the beaten path", "surprise find"-type places. We expected a restaurant, but the food counter is inside a liquor store. Regardless, super friendly staff, OUTSTANDING food, and more than ample portions. We took our food to a nearby park and enjoyed the views of the ocean.“

“$7.50 for a latte now. Wow!The food and coffee here are way overpriced. So I go into AG for the same latte for $2.00 less. The atmosphere is nice and roomy and the service just OK. Sometimes better than others, like when I came in and the staff went home early so no food was being served so I have been going into AG instead ever since. The hours are unpredictable. The food and coffee are good but I can get the same thing down the street for much less.If I do go I go for the homemade yummy muffins.“
“Met the boss, not sure if she was the owner but she wouldn't let me have a bad beer or sample from the same glass to insure I got the best flavor to pick from the menu. We got the pickled plate and it was actually good. Pickled veggies, fennel, cauliflower and several other offerings. I do not like beets but these I would eat again. You can even take pickling classes at this place and sounds like a lot of fun. Stop in and grab some veggies, a great brew and meet the locals. The place is primarily open to the elements so it is a little chilly in the winter months.“

“Fabulous Mexican food. Seriously!I ordered the Birria Queso Taco Plate which comes with a delicious bowl of warm consomme for dipping. The three Birria tacos are served on freshly made corn tortillas and topped with onions, cilantro, and salsa. Lime wedges, pickled vegetables (marinated sliced carrots, onion, jalapeño or bell peppers) and a spicy hot haberno sauce are served on the side.I saw a lot of Mexicans either eating at the bar area or with their families at the dining tables which is usually a very good sign that the place is authentic. The service is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is served quickly.Ice cream, margaritas beer and wine are also served. A child menu includes Taco Combo, Quesadilla, and Burrito for a reasonable price under $9.I highly recommend this newly-opened Mexican restaurant next to the bowling alley in Pismo Beach. They are opened later than most places in February. For now, their hours are 10 am to 9 pm Sundays-Thursdays and 10 am to 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.I highly recommend this authentic Mexican restaurant.Vegetarian options: Vegetables are an option under “meat” choices. The marinated vegetables that are pickled came with my order.Kid-friendliness: There are kids eating at the tables with their families. A kids menu is also offered.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance has a flat sidewalk that opens to glass double-doors so employees can see if a disabled person in a wheelchair needs assistance. The dining tables have chairs that can be rearranged to allow for wheelchair-access.“

“The food was awesome, but it tasted a bit bland and it could be a bit sweeter. You must try it as it is very good overall. The space inside is very small and there is not much room to move. The workers were very nice and helpful. I think that you should definitely give this place a try and support this small business.i also loved all the decorations and the inspirational quotes on the inside. I loved the mirror in the bathroom and the back of the door. They also, have a lot of different food options. So, you do not just have to get a smoothie they have other things as well. in conclusion, I would recommend this place as it is very nice and homey!!“

“The best sourdough I've ever had! I live in north county but, any time I'm in or near Pismo I stop and grab a fresh loaf from House of the Rising Bread !! The guy that bakes all this goodness is such a nice man, super friendly, and the vibe in his little place feels really good . Haven't had a chance to try any of the sandwiches they prepare there but, I'm sure they're amazing with that delicious bread . Check it out and support this sweet business.“

“We got lucky and were able to get a seat at the bar. Staff is friendly and attentive. Service is quick, Food didn't take long and was all delicious! Halibut was prepared if I wasn't so full I would have had the apple bread pudding for dessert. Would definitely go back again!“
“A highlight of our trip to the Central Coast! While it doesn't have a stunning view, it is a pretty, rustic, relaxing and charming place. Excellent wine! Excellent service too - nice people! What we especially like about Sextant is that instead of just serving bread or cheeses, you can actually get a meal here - and the food is very good - highly recommend!“

“Driving around, looking for healthier options for lunch, and this gem popped up on google maps. When I saw that this was vegan, I was not entirely sure how it would taste. I was pleasantly surprised by both of the meals we ordered. The tacos were delicious and the BLTA hit the spot! We walked away feeling full and full of energy from the awesome food. The staff were very courteous and we will be coming back to try more delicious options.“

“One of my favorite coffee shops. Scorpion Bay Coffee offers a haven for coffee enthusiasts with it's cozy atmosphere, expertly crafted drinks, and tasty pastries. Beyond just a place for great coffee, it fosters a warm community vibe that makes every visit feel like coming home.“
“Have been a member of Wolff for many years and visit whenever I'm in town - the beautiful view and delicious wine are worth the visit (LOVE their Chardonnay!) Was a bit windy so we hung out with Sharyl in the tasting room and had the most enjoyable time. It was such a great tasting experience - delicious wine coupled with her bubbly narratives and extensive wine knowledge. The vineyard is also a great spot to bring a picnic, buy a bottle (or two) and hang out.“
“Excellent beer, and they really know how to make you feel at home! The staff here were the warmest and most welcoming people, and even though it was my first time going I was made to feel as though I was a regular. The moon dormie was the best blonde ale I have ever tasted, so naturally I had to take a crowler home. Will be going back when I’m in the area!“
“We loved this winery so much we ended up going back a second day to just sit and drink glasses of wine. My husband said it is the best pinot noir he has ever had. I loved the sparkling wine and rose flight. Tim was the best. We really appreciated his kindness and explanations of the wines and winery.“

“Man o Man.. I love biscuits and gravy and these guys shut me up!! First of all the single serving is HUGE (and I’m a fat guy) so get one and SHARE. “Quick service even during a busy Saturday night. Everything was tasty. Price was very reasonable. I especially loved the chili spuds. Chile Verde tacos were on point! Had "I'm this many:4. Beer. “We love coming to Biddle Ranch! After coming here with a friend who was a member, we fell in love with the olive trees in the sitting area and the amazing wine. The staff is always very friendly and prompt, even on busy weekends. Biddle Ranch also allows you to rent out the venue after hours and we took advantage of this to have a small get together with come clients while our favorite central coast band played some tunes. All in all, it is our favorite vineyard in SLO Cal and we are proud to bring out of towners in for a tasting.“

“Wonderful food, view, and service. We sat at the bar and the ladies serving us were delightful. Our food came out so fast and the locals were so pleasant to chat with. Definitely better than any touristy place downtown. I almost don't want to post for fear it'll become overrun, but they were so nice I want them to do well. Thank you from Wisconsin!“

“An absolutely wonderful wine tasting. They have a cute little tasting room to enjoy your wine. Loved all their wines they had to offer - the Syrah and the NV Eclipse were our favorites, and we took home a bottle of each. Evan was super friendly and knowledgeable during our tasting. They also offer a small food menu, and the Shuck Shack Oysters are the best delicious addition to your wine tastings. Overall, a very enjoyable time wine tasting. Highly recommend, and we are looking forward to coming back.“

“Really great coffee with incredible service in a very welcoming environment. Ryan's story of resilience and flexibility of how this beautiful spot survived the pandemic and is now serving the bellies and hearts of his community is inspiring. “Excellent sandwich (they have tasty Dutch Crunch rolls), friendly service, and they went above and beyond with the extra little things (a pickle on the side + complementary cookie for dessert) that created to an overall amazing experience. Our new favorite local sandwich spot. We will be back!!“
“Local's Taproom is an Avila staple after just 2 months of business. Owned and operated by the previous taproom's bartenders, it fully embodies the 70's-80's surf vibe that is so needed in a small, safe environment trying to create a safe space for everyone to enjoy local brews and wines. Creating an atmosphere that is so inviting can only cause such an establishment to skyrocket to one of the hottest spots in such a small town. Although there are plenty of comfortable, vibey spots in town, Locals Taproom is a fun local atmosphere that can be enjoyed by all. Although they don't offer food, they are welcoming to the idea of inviting outside food to accompany their many local draughts (or drafts). As a pair of local owners, Local's Taproom is a must if you are visiting Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, or Arroyo Grande. In the summer, there is a *free* trolley that transports through Pismo, all the way through Shell Beach, as well as Avila and is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a beverage (or three) without having to Uber or Lyft between you and your permanent or temporary summer home. 5 out of 5 in all respects that are relevant to this quaint and inviting establishment.“

“Easily the BEST brewery in the 5 cities!! They've been around for a while and I can certainly understand why! Their beers are tasty. Food is delicious. Staff is so friendly. They have great deals basically every day of the week. And the atmosphere just feels like you're chilling in your backyard with good people. Love this place and will certainly be back!“
“A highlight of our trip to the Central Coast! The view is simply stunning! We sat outside on a clear but chilly day, warmed by the fire pit. The wines were delicious, and were enjoyed even more fully with bread and Edna Valley house olive oil. We happily brought both wine and olive oil home with us!“
“Lovely grounds, attentive staff and good wines. We joined the wine club and, a couple weeks later, received a personalized, hand-written note thanking us. Very classy! Over the last 35 years, we have joined many wine clubs but never received a thank you note!“

“Food was great. We were seated rapidly for a group of 4. The service is good, just takes awhile to get refills. It's really noisy there and if your not in a booth then you are so close to the next table. Prices are moderate. Proximity to the boardwalk is great.“

“Took 10 minutes to get our waters. But after that, the service improved. Love the food every time we come here, but the service is always lagging a bit. It's a little tight and cramped space, which i don't love or hate. It's cozy but not great. I still recommend eating here.“
“Lovely fall day to taste through of our fall club shipment. Denise was our server and she was/is sweet as ever and very knowledgeable about the wines produced here. Josh the winemaker is producing more solid wines now and they've invested in champagne making equipment and the sparkling Chard from Riverbench vineyard is nice. We're also fans of the music/band themed names for the wines.“
“My wife and I first found Monarch Grove on a trip to Pismo Beach searching for local wineries. We found their Groupon deal and paid a visit, which we were utterly charmed by. We love the proximity to the Amtrak station, the delicious, fruit-forward flavor of their wine, and how they are a small, local operation. We soon joined their membership club and ordered their wine all the way back to Los Angeles for our wedding, which our guests absolutely loved. We'd absolutely recommend Monarch Grove.“
“Love, love, love! Hidden gem for sure! My friends and I were greeted by the family dog and each a glass if wine just after parking. We were given a brief introduction to the estate and history (oldest vineyard in the Edna Valley). With only three tables, it was intimate and absolutely lovely. The matriarch of the family, whose home is located there, came out and chatted with us all for a few minutes. She was very sweet and kind. I appreciated their bottles not being overly expensive. Considering they have only been open to the public for a couple of years, I do hope in the future they install a proper restroom (currently a port-a-potty) and add food items (i.e, cheese, chocolates) to pair with the wine.“

“It's a beautiful, serene space with an extremely comfortable ambiance and our dishes were well executed and delicious. But the gracious, friendly staff are the main reason why I will return whenever I am in the area again. “We went to see Dogs in a Pile on a weekday. Nothing like seeing a show where the space was built to be a concert venue! “The Pierfront Wine & Brew Bar is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Avila Beach! From the moment I stepped in, I was enchanted by the cozy ambiance and breathtaking view of the pier. But what truly stole the show was their impeccable wine selection - a connoisseur's dream come true! The variety was astounding, catering to every palate with finesse. The staff's knowledge and passion for wine were evident in every recommendation they made. Their personalized service elevated the entire experience, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just a customer. The attention to detail and genuine care in ensuring I found the perfect wine for my taste was unparalleled. Each glass was a delightful journey through flavors and aromas, complemented by the stunning sunset view. “Deltina formerly Quintessa. Is the best coffee in the central coast hands down.I loved coming in and getting my Large white mocha back when I lived here. They use dark roast for their espresso so it is always much more bold flavor wise than a medium roast or light for that matter.Loved the staff and the owner jack was always super kind and explained to me the entire roasting process which they do in house BTW.“
