“This place is not what most people would think it is. We live three miles away and, at first glance, it might appear like your standard American-Mexican restaurant, where one would find gorgeous mounds of beans and cheese and sour cream and whatnot. This is not this place at all.Whoever is creating the menu and making the food here is top notch and knows what they're doing. It's a semi-fine-dining restaurant in disguise as your local Mexican joint. For example, they have tacos and flautas with calabasa, and the salsa with them is riduclously tasty. I ordered their Mexican Pizza for the first time yesterday, and it was piled high with peppers, mushrooms, kernal corn, well-made shredded beef, along with the usual accompaniments. They have the traditional Mexican dishes as well, but they aren't greasy or thrown together; it's all made with care and class...even if it's to go. They have hipster-like margaritas in all sorts of flavors, cocktails to boot, and the bartenders are on it. And the best part? They don't skimp. It is reasonably priced and you get lots of bang for your buck.Simply put, it's quite good.“

“Friendly staff makes the best Micheladas in town. Lots of locals like this place, including me. I usually get a couple tacos and a small Michelada. The Buche tacos are great. My boyfriend likes to get the nacho fries with carnitas. The servings are generous, and they have tasty salsa. Nice clean bathrooms if you happen to need them, and parking is pretty convenient.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible from the back. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant. From the parking lot there's a ramp that goes to the rear entrance.“

“This was a great experience I totally love the atmosphere here. The jukeboxes at the table did not function and we wasted a few quarters. The food was decent. I was the only one to experience an order that went wrong but honestly it was a small mess up and they fixed it promptly. The service was top notch and they provided a nice little birthday dinner for my family“

“I took my grandmother into oyster loft for an early Mother's Day celebration and we loved all of the dishes! We enjoyed a Caesar salad, beets, ahi chips, tuna tataki, seabass, filet, pork chop and then the bread pudding for dessert. Service was fabulous as well. Thank you Griff for being such a kind and attentive server!“

“This is one of those "off the beaten path", "surprise find"-type places. We expected a restaurant, but the food counter is inside a liquor store. Regardless, super friendly staff, OUTSTANDING food, and more than ample portions. We took our food to a nearby park and enjoyed the views of the ocean.“

The food is AMAZING! Definitely a summer staple for us :) it’s 100% worth the 30 minute drive!Dietary restrictions: With my grilled cheese, I got a vegan tomato dip!“

“This was our first time. The ribeye steak was very good and perfectly cooked. The filet mignon was a little thinly cut and overcooked. They vegetables accompanying the steaks were good. The strawberry desert was very good and refreshing. Our service was excellent. We had heard such outstanding things about the restaurant that it just didn't match our expectations. I thought it was a very good meal at a high price.“

“I had one of the best meals in years here today. This is unpretentious food gorgeously made and served perfectly. Savoury cheesy bread pudding, butternut squash soup with cumin puree (genius), bologna sammy, avocado toast, pot de creme...easy to make, right? No....not like whoever made this for us. This was a perfect meal, and it was quite busy too...all the more reason for props. Well done you.“

“Our server was very attentive and it was a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. We realized since restaurants were limited here, reservations are a must but we were accommodated nevertheless due to just my wife and I. Lastly, the food was great! We are definitely a return customer in the future.Parking: Limited parking behind the restaurant but street parking is also available.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“

“Most of the time, Thai food is relatively ok. This place definitely stands out! We came to stay for the weekend to escape the heat and it was overcast when we arrived so it got a little cold! The Tom kha soup (medium spice) was absolutely delicious! The chicken wings were cooked to perfection! Not too salty! The pad Thai was pretty good! The papaya salad was FUEGO (not for the people who are sensitive to spice!)!!! The service was really good! The young gentleman was kind enough to give us some to-go containers since I needed something to portion out the meal between 3 adults and a child! The waitress delivered the Thai iced teas and a Thai iced coffee! Both were super friendly! Great job yall! We really appreciate it!!!“

“Food was great. We were seated rapidly for a group of 4. The service is good, just takes awhile to get refills. It's really noisy there and if your not in a booth then you are so close to the next table. Prices are moderate. Proximity to the boardwalk is great.“

“On our travels we found this and decided to try it. They sat us right up against the window overlooking the beach and pier with a beautiful sunset. I had the double boned pork chop and my husband had the sword fish. Both plates were clean at the end of the meal. And the Peppermint Patty coffee was a perfect end to my day. Jim was our waiter and he was very professional.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I can't say enough great things about Klondike Pizza in the village of Arroyo Grande! This place is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The Alaskan-themed decor adds a fun and unique touch to the dining experience. The pizza here is simply phenomenal. We ordered the Roadkill and a Cheese Pizza and were blown away by the delicious combination of toppings and the perfect crust – crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The flavors were spot on, and you could tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service was outstanding as well. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Even though the place was bustling, we never felt rushed or neglected.Overall, Klondike Pizza offers a fantastic dining experience with amazing food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. If you’re in the Arroyo Grande area, this is a must-visit spot. We will definitely be back!“

“Oh. My. Gosh. You need to go here. We stopped in because my kids love birria, and I saw it on their menu. It's a small place on a corner with two other larger Mexican food restaurants right across the street. After one bite of the birria taco, my son said it was the best thing he'd ever had. It was great. The flan was also great. The service was friendly and fast. The lady who took our order didn't speak much English, but we figured it out pretty easily. Great place. Will return every time we are in town!“

“Biscuits & gravy is my favorite breakfast food! And this spot is definitely the best. Every bite has savory sausage and fluffy homemade biscuits. So so good. And the service was even better. They have the most awesome people running that place and I’ll definitely be back every-time I visit my brother Caden from Colorado! Thanks so much for the hospitality and epic food.“

“Great service, very friendly staff, great portions, salsas arent spicy but delicious flavors to them. Only problem I had (and it's my opinion) I think the burrito would have better flavor with refried beans instead of boiled beans and the asada could use a little more seasoning. Kinda bland, and guac was also bland. But over all, I would still recommend this place and I'll be back for sure to try more things on their massive menu!“

“I was really craving some fish and chips while I was in Pismo but the lines everywhere were soooo long that I decided to look up places nearby that were (hopefully) less busy.. Mersea's came up first so we hopped in the car and drove to avila to try it out! The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the resturant allows dogs indoors, which you don't see often! I really liked the decor in here, it was very steampunk sea themed, and they had some cool little features like port holes that looked to the water below (the resturant is on the peir!) but the place was SO SMALL that we had to stand in the walk way while we waited for our food because there were no more tables inside and it was SO WINDY outside! I really enjoyed the fish and chips, and my toddler enjoyed the chicken strips, but the rest of my family was left underwhelmed with their meals and said they wouldn't stop here again. Ultimately, I'd say this place is a great choice if you want to get away from the crowed restaurants near by, but keep in mind that the seating is limited indoors.“

“We are from the Bay Area, but Zorro’s is probably my top restaurant for Mexican food among all we frequent. Tastes are exquisite. A very large selection. Staff is friendly and efficient. I wish we could go there each week, but alas, we would have to travel 200 miles to do so. You will not regret this. Enjoy and savor the experience.“

“First stop when we come through the Pismo area. Everything is delicious! My favorite thing is the octopus appetizer with a glass of wine. Seasoned to perfection. Service is fantastic as well. This would be my regular place if I was a local.“
“We loved this winery so much we ended up going back a second day to just sit and drink glasses of wine. My husband said it is the best pinot noir he has ever had. I loved the sparkling wine and rose flight. Tim was the best. We really appreciated his kindness and explanations of the wines and winery.“

“This is my favorite taco shop in this area. The ceviche. Guys, the ceviche. It is the perfect combination of bright citrus and fresh onion and great seafood. It comes with a generous amount of chips and their salsas are phenomenal (they only have spicy ones but I highly recommend both the orange and the green). The butter beef tacos are also fantastic. So go try it. It is very very worth it.“

“My husband loved this place. It's cute and quaint. It's definitely a date place. We shared some small plates. The servers were friendly. The only negative was the long line out the door. You need to order at the counter first.“
“A highlight of our trip to the Central Coast! The view is simply stunning! We sat outside on a clear but chilly day, warmed by the fire pit. The wines were delicious, and were enjoyed even more fully with bread and Edna Valley house olive oil. We happily brought both wine and olive oil home with us!“

“This is my favorite restaurant in the area, though I was deeply disappointed with my meal today. I ordered the “wild mushroom omelette”, and it was severely underwhelming. It felt as if it was just thrown together without much thought. There was almost no Gruyère cheese, and the “exotic mushrooms” contained just small button mushrooms. It was basically a flap of egg omelette with no flavor, and very little filling. Zero flavor whatsoever. This either needs to be revamped, or complete removed from your menu. I had the most incredible dinner the evening prior, and returned several disappointed by this meal. The server was nice, and asked me if I wanted something else. The manager was in a meeting and I wasn’t able to communicate with her.“

“Thought I’d add the updated menu for you all. I know I always want to make sure the menu I’m seeing is at most a few months old.Anyways, we really enjoyed having breakfast here. We tried the fresh toast, 222 waffle combo and the veggie omelet which came with toast and potatoes.I usually don’t enjoy red potatoes but I decided to give these a try and they were very flavorful. The 222 waffles were just perfect with a bit of crunch and the French toast was very filling and had the perfect sweetness level. Our server was incredibly sweet and although I forgot to catch her name she was attentive and made sure all was right.I would visit again if/when I’m in the area. Hopefully to try something else on the menu.“

“Seafood stew copinno was really good! The seafood bucket that came with potatoes and sausage were way too dry and the seafood was plain. Kind of a crowded place and loud but the seafood was overall really good. Definitely worth the 1 hour wait.“

“Brew the Right Thing Locally-owned and operated brewery that's been serving up suds to Grover Beach since 2012. The Good: *Plenty of parking in free shared lot *Legit wood-fired brick pizza oven produced some nicely cooked pies. *Love their dog-friendly outdoor patio, which is a must in SLO County. *Great value for their "Pizza & a Pint Combo" for $20 The Meh: *Bartender was slightly surly for whatever reason. I'm not sure if it's because we weren't regulars or he's just normally a grouchy puss? The Ugly: *The Breezlejuice IPA was skunked and tasted really flat and just not good. I would've probably said something to them, but señor grumpus made me think twice. Conclusion: I'm gonna assume the beer was just a one-time snafu because I can't imagine anyone would drink that swill. With that aside, everything else was great, from the pie to the ambiance to the value. Recommended.“

“We came here for lunch because it is close to my dentist. This was our first visit and we will come back with my family again soon. Today we had one pizza, one beer, and Mac & Cheese with added short rib. I think Rooster Creek has the best and most unique pizza. The food was great and inexpensive also the service was excellent. We liked the Nuevo Laredo pizza the best and would like to try all of the pizzas when we visit in the future. We recommend that you sit outside for a relaxing atmosphere. You can also see real wild roosters nearby. The service was great and our waitress was very nice.“

“I almost never leave reviews, but this place was absolutely amazing. My friend and I stopped after a hike on the Pismo preserve to grab a light lunch. I can’t stop thinking about how incredibly delicious my sandwich was. I usually shy away from premade sandwiches because they get soggy and gross, but I ordered the premade veggie sandwich from the display case (against my better judgment). I could not have been more impressed with the quality; the homemade bread, pesto, and fresh cut vegetables anll exquisite enough individually, but heavenly when put together. The bread was thin, but retained its crispness, and the herbaceousness lingered on my pallet. I was planning to save the second half of my sandwich for dinner, but it was too delicious to stop. It was just what the doctor ordered after a long hike: Super satisfying and refreshing.“
“Two out of town era looking for some wine on a Friday AM! We loved it, the ambiance is amazing we sat at the bar with a beautiful fish tank to look at while getting served! We came in for a tasting and left with two bottles because the wine was that fantastic. Scott the owner was an amazing server and we had a blast. 10/10 would recommend his Cabernet Sauvingon (the Rebecca) is fantastic for any can lovers out there.“

“Lovely grounds, attentive staff and good wines. We joined the wine club and, a couple weeks later, received a personalized, hand-written note thanking us. Very classy! Over the last 35 years, we have joined many wine clubs but never received a thank you note!“
“Lovely fall day to taste through of our fall club shipment. Denise was our server and she was/is sweet as ever and very knowledgeable about the wines produced here. Josh the winemaker is producing more solid wines now and they've invested in champagne making equipment and the sparkling Chard from Riverbench vineyard is nice. “My wife and I first found Monarch Grove on a trip to Pismo Beach searching for local wineries. We found their Groupon deal and paid a visit, which we were utterly charmed by. We love the proximity to the Amtrak station, the delicious, fruit-forward flavor of their wine, and how they are a small, local operation. We soon joined their membership club and ordered their wine all the way back to Los Angeles for our wedding, which our guests absolutely loved. We'd absolutely recommend Monarch Grove.“
“We walked in when we were staying close by and saw they do a tasting that's $20 for six 1-oz pours. We had 2 whites and 4 reds from around the region and also farther north in Sonoma. “Can't give this place enough stars. Could be because it was our third stop of the day, but, the Transcendentalist was a recommendation of a wine educator from another winery. “Pride of Ownership. You can tell immediately these people are proud of their establishment and what they do and that alone made me feel so happy. They greet you with smiles, they're friendly, they're helpful. Their baked goods that are homemade in house the baker goes the extra mile and adds the extra m&m's and chocolate chips to the top of the cookies after baking to make them look prettier. That alone tells me they are made with love. They accept card - love that. And they are SO affordable!!
