“I was able to get a last-minute, same day reservation for my birthday dinner. I brought my 7 year old daughter with me. We both loved our entres, but the real treat was the princess cake for dessert. An absolute hidden gem. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“Looks like they reopened on 8/24. Our burgers were cooked perfectly, and the one waitress was doing great with quite a few tables to herself. Good spot and we saw several locals happy the place was reopened.Kid-friendliness: Waitress was very accommodating for the kids requests.”

“Friendly hostess/waitress and was very helpful with ordering. Food and beverages are ordered at the front counter. Lots of unique breakfast items. I got a Spanish omelette with sourdough toast. Very tasty. My partner got a ham and egg croissant breakfast sandwich. Looked tasty. Atmosphere is really cozy and loved looking out onto the gardens. Would be fun to dine outside when the weather is nice.”

“Spectacular. Went for my father's birthday and they had so many nice touches. But more importantly the food is beautiful, creative and exceptionally well executed. I grew up in Nevada County but currently live in Napa. I was so pleased to experience a restaurant in Nevada County that rivals many of the best restaurants in Napa. The service, the family vibe, and everything was just wonderful. Wholeheartedly recommend.”

“I just had the best BLT I have ever had and it inspired me to write this review. This coffee spot is a gem as everything they have is such high quality and the owners and all the staff are some of the best people I have met. I love their light roast pour over. Every coffee I've had has been so good I can taste the care and passion that goes into it. If you haven't, get down to Penn Valley and give it a try.”

“Stopped in for a pizza today, as we were hungry for pizza. ordered 2 large pizzas, order of wings, and medium breadsticks. Also had drinks. First and foremost, nice little clean spot, very cordial staff. The cheesy breadsticks are amazing, and well, the pizza is made by an artist. Whoever made our pizzas today is doing it right... All I have to say is.... "You're my favorite pizza place!"”

“This is a little hidden gem in Penn Valley. They’ve got a solid menu of “bar food” and a comfortable area to sit (inside and out). I especially liked the Mastiff Bites. The burgers and fries were good too. My husband really likes their beer, too!”

“Love this community and love our Clubhouse. Yes they had some kinks to work out, especially after Covid, but they have hired a new GM and Dining Director and I see very positive changes. The food is very good, especially their burgers and fish and chips. I love the weekly specials as well. I bring visitors here all the time and they always enjoy the atmosphere and the food. I highly recommend eating at this establishment.”

“The Oaks in Lake Wildwood has wonderful ambience, light and fun atmosphere. The chef does a beautiful job. His name is Chad new management is amazing and all residents are very pleased with the changes love their calamari and shrimp tacos. Also fish and chips are very good and their truffle fries, we eat there quite often”

“Super cute collective. Non profit that goes back to the community and expanding their stuff. The staff was super friendly and all volunteers. I would recommend for anyone looking for a good cup of coffee (which is very scarce in these parts) or a great milkshake for the kids. They also have some awesome and unique things to look at throughout the grounds.”

“This isn't the fastest place you're going to get a burger. They are always made to order so I usually expect about a 15 minute wait. But I have to say, it's possibly the best burger in the county! Their signature cheese skirt is a bit much for me, so I started just ordering no cheese. Personally I always have them add bacon (real bacon, not that microwave crap you get at fast food joints) and grilled jalapeños. They never skimp on any of the toppings (the base sauces are mayo and mustard so if you want to change that up just ask). I also usually add a side of fries or jojos. Again, they are made to order and are well seasoned and piping hot.The atmosphere is fairly sterile, but there are a few tables if you're on the road and want to eat in. It is sharing a building with a gas station, so I don't expect a ton of atmosphere. But it definitely makes up for it in their food. They also have hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, Krispy krunch fried chicken and tenders, and a breakfast menu. Prices are pretty reasonable for today and IMHO the quality they put out typically.”

“OMG...I wish I could remember the young Man's name that worked the bar the day we were there for our Nephew's birthday party. He was wonderful. The whole staff was outstanding and the food was delightful!! If you are near Penn Valley please try this place . You won't regret it!!!”

“This was my 2nd visit. Both have been very good. I didn't know they made breakfast sandwiches. I stopped to get my 87 year old dad a sandwich and he said he wanted a breakfast sandwich. He stayed in the car. I walked in and the guy working was so nice greeting me before the door closed. I asked if they made breakfast sandwiches. Absolutely he says. I'm not sure what my dad wants and this guys walks me through some excellent choices. Delicious sandwich made. Hot and just what my dad wanted. Bacon, egg, cheese with garlic aioli. He loved it.”

“How is this place so badly rated? It's the best Taco Bell I've ever been to in my life. The food is consistently good, they give an abundance compared to other locations. And the service is always really nice! Everyone that works there is sweet. Glad to have it local”
