“Guido's Pizza is the best all-around. Whether it's the one in Sylmar on Polk and Glen Oaks or the one on Osborne and Glen Oaks. You can never go wrong. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted, and both places treat you with respect.Guido's Pizza was a big hit for my son's school. It was delivered on time for the school party they were having. I ordered two extra large peporoni pizza's and my son said that all the pizza's that were not from Guido's were never touched once. The kids were amazed with Guido's that even the parents asked me where I got the Pizza because they wanted to buy some for the holidays.Five stars to both Guidos Pizza.“
“The food was excellent. The service was very spotty; we got a very sparse serving of bread with no butter or olive oil until we had to ask for it! When we wanted more bread it took 20 minutes to get it. The place is very noisy and hard to hear people next to you. Also, they do not take cash, which was not mentioned until we got our bill. 0j“
“I moved here a few months ago and found this spot searching for pasta. I absolutely love it. It’s now my fourth or fifth time & I cannot get enough. The service is SUPERB (Emily is lovely) and the food is to die for, I will always come back for more! (Sorry the photo is dark, but the arabiatta is amazing)“
“I love little hole in the wall places. They are usually the "good spots." This was no exception! Amazing pie! Simple and amazing! I didn't want to wipe my mouth. I just wanted to lick them to get every drop of the perfect sauce.“
“This Italian restaurant makes me yearn for my hometown in central NY! Authentic feeling with a very full menu to choose from. We ate in the bar area on a very busy Saturday evening. My husband had a beautiful plate of linguine and clams, the flavor was distinct and excellent. I had the lobster half-moon ravioli in a really nice tomato cream sauce. The spinach salad was also quite good. Special mention of the warm bread with traditional olive oil & balsamic available for dipping. All the food was served at the right temperature, service was truly excellent, from the valet, to the hostess to the bartenders and servers. For dessert, we brought home Tiramisu and we both agreed it was the best we have ever had! We look forward to returning for another wonderful dinner...soon! Recommend reservations.Parking: Valet parking.“
“My other review was from 4 years ago and the food was delicious (southern Italy) then and it is still now. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He made a special children's portion for my granddaughter who is now 10. Vladdy (sp) was so happy to see us again that he gave us the regular spumoni and an extra piece to take home. I showed him the previous review and he was happy that I took the time to write it. The chicken parmigiana and meatballs and spaghetti were also delicious. My daughter ordered the seafood plate and it was too much for her to eat. Make this a go to restaurant when in the area. Rhonda S.“
“Visited Uovo in Studio City for the first time and tried their tasting menu. The truffle pasta was amazing, seriously good. The pomodoro was just okay, didn't impress much. But the Tiramisu? Wow, I'm not even a big fan of Tiramisu and it left me speechless. Worth a visit for sure.“
“The BEST dining experience!! Our table had a gluten & garlic allergy and the staff and chef were so accommodating!! It did not feel like an impediment, they offered us so many options!! All the food was delicious and the service was even better!! We love this restaurant and can't recommend it enough!! 20/10!!“
“I'm from NY. I'm a sandwich guy. I've eaten sandwiches on 4 continents. Their meatball sub is, easy, a Top 5 sandwich I've ever had, maybe top 3. It excels in every possible sandwich category. I just finished one. Spectacular.“
“It is a great little restaurant! First, let's start out with they have valet parking which was nice and we didn't have to worry about finding a parking space! The ambience in the restaurant was exceptional! I think the owner of the restaurant actually came to our table and asked us if we were okay, which was very nice! it was Easter brunch with three courses, and each course came out very quickly so we weren't sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting for the next part of the meal to come out! The staff was very professional. The food was delicious! there was four of us and we each got something different, and all of it was very very very good! They also have a full bar with specialty cocktails and great wine!“
“Even though we had a hiccup with our order and it took a long time for our food to arrive, the staff was up front and very apologetic. They comped us a dessert because of it. Good customer service when there was a problem rates a decent score. Food was excellent.“
“This has been a favorite of mine for over 15 years. The pepperoni pizza is the BEST pizza in town. 2 for 1 Happy Hour is great. If you like sports they have every game playing on so many TVs! Great bartenders and servers. It's an awesome place !“
“Food is good. Atmosphere is great ? But the parking is something else. It's very small and if there's no parking whatsoever you'd have to park somewhere else and it's not easy to find parking there at all. This restaurant is very pricey. A little expensive for someone/families who are on a budget.“
“Food was absolutely delicious! We had the baked lasagna (a little tangy), the pesto pasta with chicken (phenomenal) and the mini nachos (delicious) with some strawberry cheesecake. Everything was superb! Only complaint - a little expensive but overall worth it!“
“OH wow! What a hidden gem! The staff is warm, helpful & they welcome you the minute you set foot inside. Impeccably clean, great music, & romantic vibe. The service was amazing & food was served reasonably fast. House made pasta with my dish was so flavorful. I practically licked my plate clean. The server checks up on you. Asks if you have any questions & was super attentive. Not to mention offered a extra glass of wine on the house. The coconut flan dessert was so delicious & yummy!“
“I’m 39 now” been coming to this place since I was a kid! Absolutely amazing food and service!!!! Hands down the best pizza you will come across in the entire valley!Make sure to try it out yourself, you will not be disappointed “?Parking: It’s on a Main Street you can’t miss it.“
“Visiting from WI, randomly chose Mr Pizza and I was blown away! The guys in charge seem to really care about the food they send out. Not much of a dining room, I would recommend just doing carry out. That being said the ingredients and overall taste were FANTASTIC, one of the top 5 pizzas I’ve ever eaten! If you’re in Van Nuys give these guys a shot!“
“Food quality and customer service are the best aspects of this deli. I saw how the staff treat their customers with respect and kindness. The food is so delicious, and the value is unbeatable. The signature Philly Pastrami Cheese Steak sandwich is a heavy hitting culinary masterpiece balancing the savory meats and melted cheese with the crisp green lettuce and tomatoes.I have been waiting too long to return and try their calzone the size of your head! No kidding, it has to be hands down the best place for a calzone, preferably their chicken pesto calzone. Their menu is immense, and could spend years trying out all their food.If you are in Los Angeles North Hollywood area, Roma Deli does not disappoint the hungriest foodie.“
“This was our first time here. The pasta was absolutely delicious! The is my new favorite place for penne ala vodka. We chose to upgrade the small to a large for $16 and split it between our party of 4. That came out to $13 a person and we still had extra. Great deal“
“This deli has an excellent sausage and imported cheese selection! This is my go-to place when I need to make homemade lasagna and spaghetti sauce from scratch. The staff is super helpful and everything is sliced in front of you. If you want a great lasagna, opt for the sweet Italian sausage with fennel!Parking: There is parking in the back with a rear entrance“
“Didn’t expect to walk into this place the other day but I’m glad I did. It’s a very small Italian joint more for quick eats or to go. You can bring your family of 4 but it would probably be better to order out since this spot is so small. They offer frozen soups, ravioli, cannoli, stuffed shells, alfredo sauce, eggplant parm, lasagna, again all frozen so plan ahead when heating. They also have sides like pasta salad, marinated mushrooms, potato salads, macaroni, pickles, desserts….Yes, a one stop shop – they do have ingredients to bring home and make stuff, pasta and sauce. Personally, I don’t need a ton of meat on my sando because I find it to be very salty with the cured meats. This would be the reason why I don’t want to pay $24 for a sando and I think that’s way too much. But if in the case I was sharing with let’s say 2 other people and I brought an extra roll it would be worth it since I could separate the meat. Nonetheless, $24 for a sandwich is crazy (missing star) Oh also, after reading some reviews, yes the rolls are soft more of a French bread type, I do prefer a tougher Italian bread w a chew!!“
“I love this pizza place. It so delicious and always satisfies my cravings! They are super friendly 10/10 and pizza is SO GOOD 10/10. They were super kind enough to deliver my pizza (my address was slightly out of there delivery range) Delivery was fast and easy. My food was still hot and very enjoyable.“
“Our friend's 75th birthday was on March 29th 2024, and he chose this restaurant for his birthday dinner. The food was very good, the service was friendly and attentive, and we had a lovely evening! I really enjoyed their Chicken Marsala entree!“
“Hands down- best pizza in the Valley.Service- friendly, and invitingPizza- can't rush greatness and they know it. The way they prepare your pizza shows how much they care.Great consistency all the way through. The sauce- unreal. The marinara makes the pizza and this particular places just overshadows all the other NY pizza spots.Used to love me some other well known places (won't name em, dont wanna bring em down) but since I found this place, I can't go anywhere else.Kid-friendliness: Very nice staff. Co.e with my daughter regularly and she loves it here“
“I went with my family to MA's and I was pleasantly surprised with the best scampi I've ever eaten. The shrimp was perfectly cooked so it was fresh and soft and full of great flavor with wine and butter and the pasta with it was perfect. One of our family got eggplant parmesan and another one got spaghetti and meatballs, and bruschetta chicken. Chicken was cooked beautifully soft, melts in your mouth. The young kids enjoyed their spaghetti and meatballs and even the garlic bread and knots. For dessert we tried three of them; one was an outstanding chocolate mousse with a little whipped cream on top which you could get with raspberries or not, and we got a Tiramisu and a delicious sweet pistachio cake with a little icing on top. Their garlic bread is amazing! You get lots of little pieces of garlic on it and it's soft bread with the crunchy crust I mean you can't get any better than that. They also gave us garlic knots. The only thing we could say wasn't 100% for us was that the broccoli and carrots vegetable mix was not cooked enough to be softer so we asked for them to make it softer and they did. A server will come around and ask if you want any more freshly grated Parmesan cheese on anything and they give you a lot if you want it . The portions are large. The service is incredible, our waiter was excellent and checked with us every few minutes to make sure everything was fine, they do everything with a smile. It's just impeccable.I just wish the place was bigger as it's very popular for obvious reasons why every every table got filled up while we were there with people waiting to come in. If you have more than two people I'd say get a reservation, it's a must. This is now my new favorite restaurant I'm so glad we went there. Excellently managed and there's a big parking lot in that shopping center where it's located next to a market, and the freeway. And interestingly enough all the servers are men, and it works great. If I could ask for one thing they could include in their menu it would be for something like a filet of sole with a wine and garlic sauce. They do have a salmon dish but I don't eat salmon. But I did taste everything we ordered and all of it was delicious. We returned a week later, last night, and tried some other dishes. The salmon was very good, comes with fresh cooked vegies and pasta. The chicken and orzo soup is the best chicken soup I have had in any restaurant in my entire life, and I am very picky and this one is like what I make at home. I have never praised another chicken soup. The butterscotch budino dessert is delicious. The service is still excellent, Seth was our server who went above and beyond always with a real smile, warmth, eager to help. When we left there were many people waiting to get in. If you have to wait or you get cold easily, bring a warm jacket or sweater. It is worth waiting for.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options.“
“This is a casual, local, Italian restaurant with incredible food. I always start with one of their tasty soups and we share the chopped Italian salad. (One of my favorites) All of the entrees are perfectly seasoned and well prepared in large portions. Don’t miss this great neighborhood gem.“
“DeFranko’s is an OG sandwich stop in the valley. They have been around for over 50 years. It’s a little hole in the wall stop with no indoor dining but they have a few tables and chairs outside with a very small parking lot.The service was just okay. They definitely get a lot of orders in person and over the phone. There was a line out the door. I recommend calling ahead because they do get busy!I got the Italian sub for my parents who were in town and a chicken salad for me. The chicken salad was just okay. After reading more reviews, I wish I had gone with the pastrami because that one seems most popular. My parents enjoyed their sandwich but wish it had more meet inside.I will definitely come back again by calling in and trying something new.“
“Definitely tough finding good pizza places in LA originally being from New York, but I do think Fernanda's goes on my list of the better ones worth trying. Super fresh and nicely thin sliced pizza. The gentleman who helped me was also very kind and made it easy to order. NOTE: The store itself is a bit hidden in the parking lot so I've attached a photo to help locate it.“
“Giamela's is a classic go to and has been around for so many years! Consistent quality subs generously topped with diced onion and pickle (if you opt for it). Always a treat and blows away the chain sub "shops". The only downside for some my be that it's cash only.“
“The food here is delicious, we got the pizza, salad and wings , it was all delicious, friendly staff here too, they gave us great service, always checked up on us, the environment felt welcomed, if your looking for new pizza try Guido's!“
“We rated this place A+ on FB. The Antipasto Salad was delicious. The steak sandwich was prepared like a Philly steak sandwich and my husband absolutely loves it. I had the Hawaiian Pizza and it was the best, I don't usually like the crust, but this time I ate it all. Chicken Parmesan and Shrimp Scampi were out of this world.“
“I recently dined at Angelino Trattoria and had an amazing experience. The Roma pizza was absolutely delicious, with its perfect combination of flavors and a crispy crust that was just right. The mussels were cooked to perfection and the ravioli was filled with a delightful blend of ingredients that left me wanting more. The beet apple salad was a refreshing and unique dish that added a nice touch to my meal. Overall, everything I ordered at Angelino Trattoria was wonderful. The quality of the food, the attentive service, and the cozy atmosphere all contributed to an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend this trattoria to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.“
“It is authentic Italian food. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. When Italians eat Italian food in United States they get disappointed. After Sugo I understand why. Everything tastes so much better the real Italian way. If I remember correctly Cook is from Milano. Definitely Recommended!“
“Solid pizza, we ordered the general combo and also got their chicken pesto. Both were delicious. I'm a big fan of chicken wings, so we got those as well. Medium size wings but packed with a lot of flavor. I have eaten wings from pretty much everywhere nearby and I'll give these ones a solid 8/10. I wanted them hot and I wish they could have gone hotter.Otherwise, great food for the price and I'd definitely order again.“
“I've been here once before but came here yesterday and this sandwich was HEAVEN!!!! It's a small but it was pretty big! Lol My boyfriend ordered the ravioli and he seemed to enjoy it as well! Customer service by our server was so good! She was talkative and engaging with all her customers I wish I got her name! I recommend coming and I will be back!“
“Gino’s East of Chicago in Los Angeles proves that not all heroes wear capes – some serve pizza. With their unwavering commitment to both kind customer service and top-notch cuisine, they’ve rightfully earned the title of Best Pizza in Los Angeles for two consecutive years. Walking into Gino’s, you’re immediately greeted by a vibe that’s as inviting as the aroma of their legendary deep-dish pizzas baking to perfection. The staff treats every customer like family, making sure your dining experience is as memorable as the meal. Speaking of the meal, the pizzas here are nothing short of a masterpiece. From the golden, buttery crusts that cradle layers of gooey cheese and rich, flavorful sauce, to the carefully curated selection of fresh toppings, every bite is a testament to why they’re reigning champs. Whether you’re a deep-dish aficionado or a pizza purist, Gino’s East of Chicago in LA doesn’t just serve pizza; they serve an experience that leaves you counting the days until your next visit.“
“Went to dinner with our son and his girlfriend, and even though it was an hour before closing, the employees were awesome with their hospitality mo rush to leave, but most of all the food was awesome small portions aren't very small. We all enjoyed our late “
“I remember coming here as a child and thr owner and his wife always kind to me they literally watched me grow up i absolutely loved theyre pepperoni pizza a fried eggplant! I cannot ever seem to find this type of quality pizza anywhere else even mh mom agrees! Hands down the best pizza anywhere! I remember as a kid used to love watching them prepare pizzas great memories owner and wife were always so kind to me!“
“The server was top notch. The vibe is pretty chill. 4 stars only cuz I got a margarita pizza and it was just a cheese pizza with some basil leaves tossed on top lol. That said it was a pretty good cheese pizza so I was ok about it, just funny.“
“Can't back to LA to visit and friends asked what I missed eating out here. Did a quick Google search. Giamela's?!?!? Pepper steak?!??!?!? !? <Drool drool> Yaaaaaas!! Deliciousness!! Last time I came, it was a little too salty but this time it was just right. So good!!!! And right across the parking lot is a Yum Yum donuts and Baskin Robbins to grab some dessert.“
“It's a great cozy neighborhood restaurant nestled in Shadow Hills. We are always greeted with a smile and wonderful welcome by the staff. This gem has a nice assortment of delicious food to choose from, and the service is always great! I can never make up my mind with all the choices on the menu. But before we we select our meal, we always start off with their amazing cheesy garlic bread. This is a must! If you go on a Friday night, then order the clam chowder, too! Once we have dived into the bread, then we select our meal. I have had their lasagna, which cheesy goodness, it never disappoints. I've also had their chicken fettuccine, spaghetti arabiatta, rib eye, and clams pasta. It has all been so delicious and flavorful.Oh yes, can't forget their desserts. They have tiramisu, bread pudding and Creme Brule cheesecake, which is my favorite!I can't say enough about this jewel of a restaurant, it's so lovely! It's our favorite place to eat! We love it!!!“
“Great place for families and beyond. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu.A few times during our meal managers came by to ask if everything was okay.I really like the vibe of this placePizza came out quick and the crust was delicious. The free cheese rolls was also a nice touch to start the meal.“
“Really amazing kabobs!Got the combo platter (chicken, shish, and luleh) and it was more than enough to feed two! Came with your choice of appetizer as well. We opted for the hummus and NGL, it was 10/10. Spreadable, delicious, and light. The veggies on the platter are roasted tomatoes and jalapeños. Perfection. If you love garlic, that garlic sauce is ~~ CHEFS KISS. Worth that $0.75 extra. Spread it on everything.A little bit of a wait for the food is a given so don’t be impatient. Our wait was only 15-20 mins. We dined in.Totally worth. We’re from out of town and it was our first time there. The lady who took our order was so kind and took her time explaining the different items and sizes.Definitely coming back next time we’re in the area!“

“There are so few places in LA that will let you order just a couple slices of pizza - it's nice to know they offer a wide variety of pies by the slice. Was in the neighborhood and ordered takeout from the counter. They run a smooth operation - menu makes pricing clear and lots of people were coming in for their to-go orders. I didn't dine in but they have beers and a few tables available. Wasn't a problem for me but some people may not like that they make only one size pizza, but it's big and if you don't want the whole thing, they let you order slices. I wish more pizza places did this. I didn't LOVE the too-chewy crust on my pepperoni pizza but it still tasted good.“
“I love this place. My husband and I are here for the Easter Brunch. We orders the small Plates and got yo sample so many items off the breakfast menu. Every last item was delicious. Cudis to Chef Edgar. We had: chicken & waffles, pb&j stuffed French toast, steak and eggs, chilaquiles, crab cake, CA omelette and the Lobster Egg Benedict. I would recommend every single item. Paired with their Romance Noir Pinot Noir from Sonoma (2018)“
“Nice italian restaurant here. They have a deli and offer a wide range of italian items. I ordered the meat lasagna and enjoyed it! It had lots of cheese and was delicious. The plate comes with some garlic bread pieces which were also the perfect texture and tasted amazing. It was my first time there and I definitely recommend it. There is a nice ambiance from the decorations to the dim lighting in the dining area. Their menu is great and has lots of options! 10/10“
“I had the pleasure of dining at Brami's Pizza today and it was an absolute delightful ,The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the lasagna & the spinach pizza. Both were bursting with flavor and had the perfect blend of ingredients.besides the fantastic food, and exceptional service,The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient. 20 minutes, and the food was ready will definitely see you again to try more from your menu“
“Tried the three cheese lasagna as a first time customer. Not disappointed at all and will be back to try the items on the menu. Suggested the place to my niece who reminded me that she had them before several times before. She even had this place catered some of the food they had at their office party.“
“This is a hidden gem in the valley!!! I was looking for a new meat market because the one I go to has new owners and the quality of the meat isn't the same. This place has good quality meat and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be buying my meat from here!! This is a must try!!“
