“My wife and I had an incredible first experience at Anila’s Cucina Rustica, and it definitely won’t be our last. We even had the pleasure of meeting Chef Anila herself, which made the evening feel even more special.

We started with the burrata and caponata with eggplant appetizer fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I had the braised short rib and the zuppa di pesce, both outstanding. The short rib was tender and rich, and the seafood in the zuppa was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My wife ordered the penne alla vodka and loved every bite.

What really sets this place apart is the feeling. Chef Anila has such a warm, homey presence, like a mother cooking with love for her family. You can taste that care in every dish. From the fresh bread and butter to the attentive and friendly service, everything was thoughtful and welcoming. From the moment they took my name down to the time we finished our meal, we felt genuinely taken care of.

“We stopped at Mis Cuates on the way to Palomar on the 4th. So good!!! I had chiles rellenos, so tastey...I have to avoid wheat flour, so was perfect for me since they use egg only. We were served on real plates with silverware, another plus. Ranchero sauce, amazing! Thank you Mis Cuates!”

“We love Bar Meets Grill! The food is always spectacular especially when Carlos is the chef on duty and the service is ALWAYS top notch. Everyone is so welcoming and attentive from Miriam at the front to Behrouz bringing the bread, singing Happy Birthday with his beautiful voice and bussing tables to almost all of the servers….Stephen, Tiffany, Sean…everyone is incredible there. We had the pleasure of having Stephen for our waiter for our Valentines date with our daughter and he is always exceptional and accommodating! The jumbo shrimp cocktail was delicious and the steaks flavor was amazing. Best desserts too especially the flourless chocolate cake (highly recommend)! This is always our go to restaurant whether is for a date night or even taking our kids out in their birthdays( it is all 3 of our kids favorite restaurant). Thanks to everyone at Bar Meets Grill for always making us feel so welcome and taking the best care of us consistently!”

The customer service was amazing, the wait was not very long, the atmosphere was very girly-pop or something along those lines. This place looks like a backdrop from the Barbie movie. Pink everything and the furniture and the decorations and everything about it. I had some of the best matcha I’ve ever had here. I ordered the French madeleine matcha latte and it was very delicious with pieces of madeleine cookie throughout the drink. So this place definitely earned an amazing review. There’s lots of personality and lots of focus on the experience rather than JUST creating a delicious drink.”
