“Celebrated a birthday with friends, and can't say enough about the entire experience! From Jose, the manager, who made sure that every aspect of celebration was provided! He even came to the table, as we were seated, and sprinkled birthday “sparkles” on the table! Our server, Eric, was attentive, friendly, and made the experience so enjoyable! The food was spectacular, perfectly cooked to our liking, and the presentation was beautiful. We raved about the crab cakes, stuffed shrimp and the scallops. We were even visited by the amazing executive chef, Claudia, who came by to make sure everything was perfect. She surprised us with an array of birthday desserts, that were both delicious and beautifully presented.....highly recommend the bananas foster! Such a memorable experience for our entire party, and we highly recommend Eddie V's. Thank you for a fabulous dining experience!”

“We love this place and eat here a few times a week! Its close and convenient and always consistently good! There's a lot of meh cafes in the desert. Same stuff. Same sandwiches, salads, egg dishes, pretty boring fare but this place cranks out DELICIOUS food! And the people who work there are really attentive and NICE! BEST chicken Pozole around! Really good chilaquiles and pancakes! GREAT value!”

“I had tried Dave’s Hot Chicken over a year ago at a different location and, to be honest, I wasn’t impressed. The food then felt rushed, and the experience didn’t live up to the hype. Because of that, I hadn’t been back since—until today. And I’m glad I gave it another shot, because this visit completely changed my mind.

From the moment I walked in, the difference was clear. Even though it looked like only two employees were running the entire operation, the service didn’t skip a beat. They were both friendly, efficient, and focused, handling the front counter, food prep, and even cleaning with a great attitude. You could tell they cared about doing it right.

The food this time was on point. I got the hot chicken slider and fries, and everything was cooked perfectly. The chicken was juicy inside with that crispy, flavorful crust Dave’s is known for when done right. The spice level was just right—not just heat for the sake of it, but actual flavor. The fries were fresh, not greasy or soggy, and the portions were generous.

Today’s experience made me a believer in Dave’s Hot Chicken. Great food, great staff, and a totally different feel from my last visit. I’ll definitely be back.”

“One of my absolute favorite nighttime holiday treats! 🍨 The gelato here is top quality with a premium taste. What makes it even better is the wide variety of options vegan, nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free …which is a lifesaver if you have food sensitivities like I do.

They rotate flavors weekly, so there’s always something new to try (I’ve sampled at least 12 so far!). My personal favorites are the boysenberry and the cookies-and-cream both are amazing. If you call during the day, you can even make special requests when it’s not too busy, which is such a nice touch.

I also used them for catering with their ice cream cart at an event, and it was a huge hit. Hands down, the best local ice cream spot in the valley!”

“My daughter and I agree - our best boba tea experience so far. With options to choose your level of sweetness 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% - all drinks are freshly custom made. I got the Thai milk tea with boba and my daughter got the chocolate milk tea with boba. We’ll go back again and next time I’ll try their flavoured jasmine tea. They also offer the home made fermented tea that I will try as it’s supposed to be full of probiotics and very time consuming to make.
For me the prices were reasonable - similar to Starbucks and you get a lot more. I don’t see how anyone could complain about that.
The woman working was very friendly and answered all of our questions which helped us choose the perfect tea for our mood!”

( He gots the Biden Prices which was a bummer for a minute I thought Castañedas was a nice guy for keeping his prices low but never mind). But it’s okay it was just a dollar. Hmm The quality of the food was alight not a lot of flavor on the beef but it’s cool The Roll Tacos were made with so much love, that I did appreciated. “The food quality and quantity have improved significantly this past year or so. I tried this particular Castañeda's about half a dozen times 5, 6 and 7 years ago and it was just not worth coming back, very much less than even average. I decided to give it another try about a year ago (I live next door in Sun City) and was more than pleasantly surprised. I wanted to try it several more times before I committed to writing a review and I'm happy to say the last three dinners were equally good. Just keep in mind it is not gourmet but when I go looking for Mexican food, I want it simple, piled high, and swimming in salsa (enchiladas mojadas). Just wish they had mole. The young women at the cash register have always been pleasant. There are not many options in this neighborhood so I'm happy to see Castañeda's back in the game.”

“We were looking for some tasty breakfast at lunchtime and we found this place on Google with really high reviews so we decided to give it a try. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, close at 2, fyi.

When we walked in it gave off the old school diner vibe which we like! We were greeted right away and let them know we wanted take out. We sat at the bar and chatted with them while deciding what to order. Such friendly and accommodating staff! We are staying in a hotel so they made sure to provide us with all of the condiments and things we needed to take our meal back.

I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was divine! It was our favorite out of everything because it was packed with flavor and they were these cute little mini sandwich bites we could all share. My parents got the eggs and hash browns and really enjoyed a nice, simple home cooked meal. My daughter got the grilled cheese and fries and she thought the cheese was a bit too much, but otherwise she really enjoyed it.

They also had pies in a pie display and these awesome looking cinnamon rolls. We visit the desert often and will be adding this place to our regular rotation! Family friendly, lots of food options at an affordable price and free parking! We will take it! Check it out next time you are in Palm Desert!”

Bobby has done a wonderful job turning this restaurant into a great success. My wife and I met the chef and she’s so passionate about her food and was very friendly. Think it may have been family working there every one was so polite and friendly engaged in conversation about Peru. My wife and I had the lomo saltado and I had to get the ceviche con chicharron it was absolutely delicious. We usually make stops throughout the places we visit to try the Peruvian food and this is it. The ceviche was fresh and had all the authentic ingredients it’s like if we were sitting in Peru eating. This is going to be our go to spot when visiting the area.”

“We stopped by Goody’s on our way home from staying at the Westin in Rancho Mirage—it was only about a 6-minute drive from the hotel. I ordered the pancakes, my sister had the French toast, and my husband went for a double bacon cheeseburger. The clear winner was the French toast—my sister said it was the best she’s ever had and talked about it the entire drive home!

The food came out quickly, with the French toast arriving first. They do offer “fresh-squeezed” orange juice, but it’s pre-packaged in a plastic bottle, so don’t expect it to be freshly juiced on the spot. Prices were average and reasonable.

The pancakes were fine but nothing special, while the burger was solid. Overall, we’d definitely recommend Goody’s and would go back again for a quick breakfast option. We chose the sit-down service instead of the drive-thru, had no wait to order, and there was plenty of parking available.”

He gave that a 7/10. I had the Pad Thai with 2 Shrimp and Chicken. unfortunately the sauce had a fishy flavor I don't recall it having before. And, the chicken looked good but was dry. 4/10. Service excellent and very pleasant. Our bill for 2 was $60 plus tip.”

“Perfect joint to grab some drinks and great Mexican cuisine. They have a full bar and a nice big menu of food. We got the Chilaquilas Con Carne Asada with eggs over medium and red and green salsa. It had the perfect spice and was an extremely big portion. The carne was tender and not chewy. The eggs were also perfectly done. We also tried a veggie omlete that was also cooked to perfection. Fluffy egg, not dry and tasty fresh veggies with fresh slices of avocado. Served with rice and beans that are fresh and delicious. My buddy ordered two Michelada's with Modelo and loved them!! Our waitress was also SUPER friendly and took care of us. Will be back again soon.????

“We have been to Boulevards 3 or 4 times for dinner, each time it was a great experience; service, food, and ambiance way above par...however, we had lunch for the first time a week ago this past Friday with 7 other people. While the service was good, the food was subpar...I had a professional LA Chef with us, who did not say a word, but neither he or his wife ate their lunches and I know them well enough to know they did not like it...I ordered chili, it was not very good and was luke warm, but the server took it immediately and warmed it. My partner ordered a club sandwich, it too was subpar, and another friend also ordered chili and felt as I did. While the others in the party were grandkids, the one salad looked like a bowl filled with lettuce thrown together, and not much thought at that, one had a sandwich and I looked at that, it too looked awful, and my one grandson said his lunch was good...I do not remember what he had. For a place that has no kids menu and prices are steep, everything should be served professionally. ALSO...I was in the restaurant business in LA and NYC for over 25 years and it is 2024 and time for Boulevards to have a voice mail instead of a message that askes the customer to call back when they cant answer the phone as they "are serving other customers" The customer should not have to keep calling back. By the way, I just called to make reservations for this coming Tues nite, 4 times over a 15 - 20 minute period, and each time I got this same message. We really like Boulevards for dinner, but as with all restaurants, and included my own, there is always room for improvement!”

“A take out order today had one "glitch," so I wondered if J's was slipping again. I called the restaurant and talked to the person who had sent the order out. She apologized and said there would be a credit on my next order either delivery or in the restaurant. But almost immediately, Jay, the owner, sent me an email apology increasing the credit (double the cost of the item) and saying he was sorry for the error and disappointing me. That prompt and responsive action on the part of the owner counts. Things go wrong with any restaurant or any business. I learned long ago as a customer - and as a consultant to the top execs at Fortune 500 companies - that the true measure of a company isn't how they act when things are going well (that's easy) but rather how they handle it when things go awry. Jay handled the minor mistake in my order with professionalism, responsiveness, promptness, and kindness. The order was on time, packaged perfectly, and the key thing, great food. As I said in the past, there was a period in which I saw some problems at J's, but for a while now, I have seen nothing but great food, good service, and attention to the customer. I hope others go to J's and find the same.”
