“I have been going to Señor G’s for 7+ years now. This review is past due, as for their recognition and status in the food game at Los Angeles. From their fresh vibrant juices to their mouth watering burritos, you honestly can’t go wrong with any of their items.Ambience:The owner, Benjamin, is a friendly, attentive, and passionate owner. He is usually present and will take customers orders. The menu will be presented right in between the ordering window and take out window. Parking can be found right beside Senor G’s, additional parking can be found along Culver Blvd. Due to the covid lockdowns, the indoor seating area is no more, but as of today there are a couple of tables (2 people seating) situated in-front of the establishment. If you decide to eat at G’s, you’ll be greeted by the cool breeze from Playa vistas beach.Food and Beverage:For food, my go to are the Chicken Colorado burrito, Martins kicken chicken burrito, and of course the Carlitos way burrito.I’ll break down the Carlitos way burrito since I believe it’s one of the best burritos out there, easily top 5 (if not top 3). The Carlitos way burrito is wrapped in a flour tortilla (other options are available such as spinach, ect.) with carne asada, grilled onions, cheese, red rice (can remove and sub for lettuce), beans (refried or black beans), a spritz of lemon, and guacamole. The burrito is well balanced, seasoned, and not drowning in grease (as typical Mexican burritos are). The carne asada has a suffice amount of fat which makes juicy, tender, and easily integrated into the burrito. Upon taking your first bite, all ingredients are proportional to one another. You’ll taste every bit of the ingredients, your palate will be presented with notes of sweetness coming from the grilled onions, followed with notes of the asada and guacamole/lemon adding a bit of acidity. Furthermore, the refried beans and rice allow for the burrito to have a soft texture but also providing structure to the burrito. To bring this burrito to another level, add some of their house made pico de gallo and habanero salsa, and enjoy. For drinks, you can’t go wrong with the horchata, green machine, Dr. Feel good, strava smoothie, berry good smoothie, or culver smoothie. The juices are a always made to order, providing the freshest and most vibrant fruits/veggies.If you’re reading up to this point, let me leave some crumbs. You have to order the carlitos way with refried beans, it’s a must. Want something sloppy but satisfying, order the chicken Colorado burrito with refried beans. Stop sleeping on their horchata, has a nice balance of sweetness and cinnamon. They offer complimentary chips, pico de Gallo, and ask for the habanero salsa (has a kick to it but nothing too crazy if you’re into spicy stuff). Breakfast is served all day, if you’re wondering. Lastly, enjoy your meal at the playa vista lagoon or beach, can’t go wrong with either.I have recommended this spot to close family and friends, which all have been returning customers to G’s. Señor G’s is a staple and a true gem of Playa vista and Los Angeles. Over the past 7+ years ordering at G’s, it has always been consistent. Do not miss out, give this place a try, and thank me later.“
“Stopped by Hacienda Playa for a drink with my girlfriend. Was absolutely fantastic per usual. Super friendly bartenders, as well as staff that are very attentive and are always asking you if you are okay! Gave us chips and kept refilling the chips nonstop the whole time that we were there. Reasonable prices, and a great place to stop for a quick drink. Definitely will stop by again!“
“After visiting Hijo de su Madre several times for their award winning and phenomenal Yucetecan vegan greatness I was quite excited when I saw on their IG they were adding a vegan burger menu. It just launched a few days ago, but is already my favorite burger (got the Phat Hass Burger) in LA and I have had them all. Even more profoundly, they have the best loaded frots I’ve ever had by a landslide! Run don’t walk to try the new menu (will be on the delivery apps soon!) and then keep coming back because everything on the menu is perfection. 5 stars!!!“
“I was blown away by Sonoratown. Everything we got there was incredible, especially the steak tacos, juicy with an incredible smoky flavor from the grill and the salsa. On that note, their salsa deserves a special shoutout. I had the pleasure of walking in just as a fresh batch of red salsa was made. Everyone working there was so excited about how good it came out, laughing and dancing around, and their excitement and enthusiasm was infectious. I could feel what a good working environment it was, and how much passion they put into their food. Please do yourself a favor and give Sonoratown a try.“
“From start to finish Teddy’s was a 10/10. I got the deluxe plate and was not disappointed in the least. Everything was made to perfection and the consume was wonderful. The salsa had the perfect kick to it and you can’t beat the staff and ambience. I unfortunately am only visiting the area so I’ll just have to dream about eating their tacos on repeat.“
“Our waiter was friendly and fantastic. The venue itself is very cool. But cool in temperature too. The whole front of the place is open with no wall and we had to keep our jackets on the whole time. The food was very tasty and we loved the trio of guacamole. The filet tacos were too smokey flavored. We finished with the flan and it was amazing. Big enough to share!“
“ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!! One I was able to schedule a large party of fifteen 3 days prior, where I wasn’t able to elewhere. Others restaurants required someone to call me back, a contract etc. Sasual took my large party not once but twice that week. You really kept me out of a bind where I was hosting a group of executives from Boston and New York. The service and food was out of this world. I moved to California 6 years ago and this was hands down THE BEST Mexican food I’ve eaten since I’ve lived here. Our servers were so accommodating and fast, I don’t know how you did it with such a large party. It was so good we came back a second night the same week. You are now my favorite so I will be back with the wife and I will recommend to every person who asked me. I get a lot of people who ask, where should they go to eat and this will be my #1 recommendation. Thank you Sausal.“
“Great vegan restaurant in Melrose. The food has plenty of flavor and tastes fresh. Prices during happy hour are very affordable, and it’s a great for big groups to share bites and drinks. Atmosphere is nice, especially outdoors on the patio. The highlight of the evening for me was the olive oil brownie — a must try!“
“Just stumbled onto this place, what a Mexican taco place should be. A simple hole in the wall with some phenomenal excellent food. Coming from a Mexican I will tell you that this is good authentic Mexican food. Their tacos are Stupendous‼️ Best place for Mexican food on Melrose.“
“We ordered Tamales from here for the holidays and they were absolutely delicious! Great flavor with just enough spice. The server was extremely friendly and got our order fast. Not to mention they were super hot so it tasted so fresh. We were able to freeze some as well for later. We can't wait to go back to try other food!“
“The menu is a delightful exploration of fresh, high-quality ingredients prepared with exceptional skill and care. From the succulent lobster tacos to the tender octopus, and the delightfully refreshing ceviches, each dish is a testament to the chefs' mastery of combining bold flavors and textures. While the prices may be somewhat steep, the quality of the food justifies the cost.“
“Nice place. Its complexity, its structure, a little piece of land far from its place of origin, is great. That's what it feels like to be there. Its decoration also adds a touch of memories. I loved the band that was playing that night. The diversity of people in this place is fantastic.“
“This was easily one of the best dinner experiences of my entire trip to California. The queue is long, but who cares? Just stand in line and salivate at the thought of insane tacos, or perhaps a stupidly large burrito that can feed a family of three. Or you know, just get there earlier. The servers were super cheery and helpful as well, which is always a pleasure. The food is so flavourful, it even managed to retain its flavour when cold! Did I mention the food is amazing? It's amazing.“
“Enjoyed a relaxing outdoor brunch at this popular Mexican restaurant in the Torrance Hollywood Riviera. We picked a nice corner spot with partial shield under the umbrella. It’s a dog friendly restaurant but we wanted to be away from others with our young puppy. The food came fairly quickly, we highly recommend the Octopus Ceviche if you like octopus. I had the Wednesday Burrito special, and my wife had two tacos specials with Asadas. Both were delicious. Our server, Anthony, was prompt and friendly, multiple other servers stopped by multiple times made you feel welcome and made sure we have what we needed.Parking: Parking: a bit of hit and miss in this popular district, once you find a street parking spot, I recommend using the QR code and pay electronically, it’s relatively painless. Another person tried to mess with the meter and sometimes the screen is hard to read, especially under the sun.“
“you MUST visit this spot! Had an amazing experience at Tlayuda LA !! The food was delicious, I have never a caldo de pollo that tastes like the one back home in México! Also had mole and green enchiladas and everything had authentic flavors !Service was great and friendly! Definitely going back !“
“Excellent food! So happy we found this place. Staff is great and they offer indoor/outdoor seating. Great selection of coffee, drinks, baked goods. Yummy and fresh Mexican fusion menu, delicious breakfast offerings as well. Street parking, small below ground lot and small parking lot.Vegetarian options: You can make most things veggie with easeWheelchair accessibility: If you have wheels you can easily enter and exit“
“I recently dined at Kateen restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish presenting a burst of flavor and expertly prepared. The atmosphere of the restaurant added to the enjoyment, offering a welcoming and comfortable setting. I would highly recommend Kateen to anyone looking for a delightful culinary experience.“
“The food was very good. My favorite thing was the spicy Pescado tacos. The chorizo scramble on toast was not as good as I was hoping it would be, but I did love the mimosa option with a flight of juices to kind of make your own mimosa. got there fairly early so there weren't many people and there, so the noise level was low and the atmosphere there is very charming and warm..“
“Wow! Wow! Wow! ? Absolutely yes ?? The food is absolutely phenomenal. It’s is fresh, flavorful and vibrant. I tried most of the tacos and all of them are top tier!!! Customer service was refreshing and responsive!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS WONDERFUL SPOT.Vegetarian options: Cauliflower tacos are sooo delicious ?“
“First tacos in LA and these didn't disappoint! Al pastor tacos were really delicious and served with great showmanship. Great selection of self serve toppings. Tacos were 2.50 each. There's a big line but it moves fast and there are a few stools around a long table to eat at. Highly recommend!“
“I've been coming here a few years and food is good, but yesterday it was great. Came out hot n fresh. The star of this visit was ERICA she was best waitress hands down. She made the whole experience. Loved her customer service. She a 100 out of 10. Ask for Erica she's the best.“
“I placed an order to go and it was ready on time, which is super important for me. The burrito i ordered initially seemed a little pricey for me, but when I took that thought back when I saw how huge my burrito was. It was freshly made and so delicious! It also came with a side of chips and salsa, which I appreciated. Worth every penny, 10/10.“
“listen: its west LA, there are a *TON* of options... but none of them are as good as this. start with the chilaquiles -- they are *chef's kiss* incredible. and anything else you order will be impeccably seasoned, full of authentic flavor, and fresh. everything is “
“Quiadaiyn is one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, truly. The food is excellent. I love the vegan mole enchiladas, molcajete quesadilla and fajitas. The service from everyone is exceptional. Kind, friendly, attentive. I’m always happy to see them and they’re always very happy to see my mother! The decor is fun and lively, make sure to come around Dias de los muertos!I’m sad to be moving away from Quiadaiyn, yet I will be back to visit!Bendiciones Quiadaiyn familia!Vegetarian options: Vegan mole. Enough said!!“
“SOOOOO soo good!! Always look forward to stopping by whoever the truck is at. Highly recommend the Classic burger and also the Chicken katsu sandwich. Thé gorgonzola on thé burger is DELICIOUS. The veggies are crisp and fresh. And the sauces are homemade, so so delicious. A MUST try“
“No new fangled technology here for this authentic Mexican food. The servers work hard and do a great job making sure you are taken care of and delivering hot food. If you don’t see something on the menu you want just ask (e.g breakfast burrito).“
“Got the fish special, lobster tacos, mushroom cheese dip and Guacamole of course. Everything was amazing. Ended up making nachos with the appetizers. We devoured everything. Service was great! I have anxiety for no good reason so when they sat me by the fire place, I asked to sit by the window. They made it happen no problem. Had to wait but I was grateful ?“
“Third time here and we're loving it. The staff are all amazing, very friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious and the vibe and the happy hour makes it top-notch. Beautiful decor! We are in love with the pool table. We had the chicken flautas this time and the chicken tacos but I forgot to get a picture of the flautas. We scarfed them down so fast lol. Fresh ingredients and good portions. Sophia was our server and she was perfect and then TJ and Casey just made the whole experience wonderful! Shout out to Ray as well. She's our favorite! Highly recommend this place! See you soon!“
“Socalo is consistently great. Everyone I introduce it to ends up returning on their own. Everything is great here, the food especially of course (the menu is innovative with kind of a classic base and the ingredients are very high end). Somehow though, they manage to keep the prices reasonable. The staff is really nice, the design and atmosphere are beautiful both during the day and the evening. I love that it's an all day restaurant so you can even grab a meal or a snack during in-between hours. This place is kind of a sleeper favorite and because it seems to be under the radar a bit, getting a reservation is always easy. I truly love this place.“
“Ordered a falafel burrito and the hummus with pita, and cheese quesadilla with chipotle sauce on the side via Uber eats.I wasn't crazy about the pita bread itself and the hummus was just ok, but the falafel burrito was great! I love the fries in it and the tahini is delicious. The burrito is very large and very filling, I ended up saving half for the next day and it was still just as tasty. I highly recommend getting a side of chipotle sauce to dip anything you order in!“
“I don't even eat at gracis senor, but I am writing this review because there is a local law firm called Davis Wright and Tremaine that has been harassing the local taco vendors for the past few weeks in the Pacific Palisades. Apparently the law firm has delivered threatening letters to Gracias Senor (the daytime taco truck), as well as the nighttime pop-up tent-based taco vendors, and perhaps the other trucks as well. There are clearly a coalition of palisades karens who have nothing constructive to do with their time and therefore seek to destroy the hard work of local businesses, lessening the beauty of the Palisades in the process. These same anti-taco-truck karens are probably the same types of people who yelled at people for not taking covid vaccines two years ago: the type of people who thrive on the oppression of the free will of other human beings and live to control others, for it gives them a false sense of empowerment and meaning. These anti-taco karens would clearly like for every single establishment in the palisades to be bland, overpriced, licensed and regulated by some nonsensical city governing body, and close early. The good news is that for every one of the anti-taco Karens who seek to oppress the small business owners, there are twenty more people who support the taco vendors! Don't be intimidated by Davis Wright and Tremaine and the karen army.“
“I personally had the best experience here with my family! The staff was so nice and accommodating we had 2 senior dogs that we needed to bring with us because they have heart issues and can't be left alone I had them in a HUGE stroller and the staff helped me so much and gave me no hassle in bringing them in the patio area. They gave us a spacious table like I requested and I loved it! The food was amazing! Huge compliments to the chef we did the 3 course lunch meal and it was perfect! We have an autistic child that usually hates eating everything and they made him a chicken quesadilla that he devoured! This was a huge delight and was very much worth it! They even have valet which made it extremely hassle free and accommodating. You should definitely check this place out the vibe, food, decor, and staff, are all perfect!“
“Literally the best Mexican food in LA and pretty good service. I discovered them because they were the only restaurant open on Christmas Day close to me, turns out I live 5 min away from here. It's super low key building but always busy so that should tell you something.“
“Great little place me and the wife were staying at a hotel nearby looked for some food around 8:30 or so and this little place popped up. Pulled up and I asked the wife if they were open almost left it said open so we decided to try the door. Glad we did best experience and good food got all the salsa/sauces they have some that will have you sweating (light pink) is tasty and hot. The salsa was delicious mix a little of the pink sauce in to I get the heat you want. Server was an absolute pleasure. Even gave us a whole lime.Parking: Parking was easy able to pull in around 8 and ofder our food no problem.“
“Saby’s is a cute authentic Mexican styled restaurant. It has the best vibes. The customer service is fantastic and the breakfast burritos are top tier! They also serve coffee and espresso shots in actual Mexican clay cups! (SO CUTE!) This small family owned business is a great place to spend your Saturday mornings or when you need to take breakfast on the go during the morning week rush. Either way, they got you covered.“
“We live a few short blocks away…. lucky us. This is a wonderful addition to our neighborhood. Food is delicious. Their fajitas are delicious. And happy hour is a definite treat.Parking: Some spots right in front of restaurant. And revere is street parking depending on times.“
“This new spot on 8th Street is exactly what we needed. In Downtown, it's difficult to find a spot with fresh food that's delicious and quick. Because this spot is new, there is a bit of a wait for the food but not more than you would expect for food that is being prepared for you on the spot. Everything tastes fresh, not frozen. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. We had a lunch catered for the office. Everyone was pleased and that's sometimes difficult to do when you have 10 people with differing tastes. This means there's one more place where I can grab lunch that's not fried food. My favorite side is their broccoli! I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer.“
“Food was amazing, service was amazing. Our precious lil server lady was joking about how famous and non famous people always try to get them to put their photos up on the wall, but they don’t do it. and then it actually happened while we were sitting right there. 10/10.“
“What a great place, we flew in from Mexico & we felt like we didn't get enough Mexican food. So we came here & this place did not disappoint. We got chilaquiles, machaca and eggs, and huevos divorciados, and two cafe de hollas ? I got the huevos divorciados & would have liked them a bit spicier, but that's just me. The machaca and eggs might have been a little dry according to my husband, but delicious. The portions are pretty big, we took some chilaquiles home. The place is super welcoming & I loved all of their attention to detail. Great place to enjoy a wonderful breakfast.Vegetarian options: Lacto-ovo vegetarian friendlyWheelchair accessibility: First floor, wide space to maneuver between tables & chairs can be arranged for wheelchairs“
“We came from Texas and was craving a margarita. This place had great reviews. Parking is limited to street from what I saw, but worth it.Service: There was a small wait time, but the host was super sweet and prompt in seating us. Our waitress with the two ponytails was beyond attentive and lovely. The bus boys were on it at clearing every table as people were finishing their plates and drinks!Food: the pollo enchiladas with green sauce were delicious! The beans were a good consistency, but the rice really didn't really have much flavor. The asada tacos were delicious as well. The chips were crunchy, but the salsa was just OK.Drinks: the Lucha margarita was amazing!! I'm picky with my margs, and this one was mmm mmm good! My husband was glad they had mexican cokes since he's not a tequila man. While the decor was fun and festive with lucha decor, the space was a little crowded for my liking with people just standing around in the middle, blocking the walkway. Tables are too close together. Also, I'd like to add that it was not nice to hear patrons being rude to our waitress who was busting her tush making sure everyone was taken care of for no reason.“
“Loved this place ! Great for a chill (and family friendly) vibe by the Santa Monica pier . The servers were super friendly (they even offer complimentary food for your dog). The portions are large and filling. The grilled fish taco (snapper) was delicious and their guacamole is fresh and chips are not too salty.I especially enjoyed the watermelon agua fresca (fresh watermelon that is not too sweet).100% recommend this spot.“
“Great place for dinner time. I would recommend for quick local Mexican food. Food is good. Nice ambiance. Drinks looked good even though we didn't have any. Service was great! Our waiter is either a manager or owner and is usually there. He is kind and attentive, also very helpful with menu and for food suggestions. They serve a good serving size for each dish. Would recommend this establishment!“
“Charly's Restaurant is a hidden gem that promises a delightful dining experience. Tucked away from the bustling streets, this cozy establishment exudes warmth and hospitality from the moment you walk in. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, ranging from hearty breakfast options to savory lunch and dinner choices.“
“This restaurant is the Epitome of Taco paradise! They have the most amazing meat, it's so fresh and delicious. The restaurant is in an interesting location, but it's so fun! The staff is very attentive and gracious. You order from the monitors on the wall and they bring the food to you. Their details are impeccable, they have to go dishes out for you to grab if you need them and various condiments and such. Go early, parking is just street parking and that's very rare to find. Also, their birthday celebration is very cute! Go for your Bday and try it out.“
“I was very very disappointed with the service I received this day. I have been coming to this place for a long time on and off. I know that most of the waiter have been working there for a long time but the fact the we felt rushed, dishes pulled from are hands was very disgusting. Overall a good place to eat but keep in mind if your waiter if having a bad day .... well you know?♀️“
“I adore this place. Chile verde burrito ? is excellent. Hot salsa, great chips. Staff and family that run the restaurant are incredibly kind, and they’ll include a piece of gin with the check. A gem of Venice. Grateful to have them as neighbors.“
“Sol Agave is a solid choice for lunch. It wasn’t super busy on a Sunday at 1pm. The covered patio was heated and comfortable even though it was chilly and windy. We tried the charred romaine salad which was just ok. The chips and salsa and guacamole were delicious. I also really liked the Camerones Al Gusto. Our vegan tacos could have been more flavorful, maybe with the addition of a nut based “crema” or something to give a little more flavor. Surprisingly dessert was one of my favorite parts of the meal. The butter cake is a MUST order menu item. Sol Agave is worth a try!“
“I am a frequent visitor to Moderno Cocina and its partner bar up front, Las Perlas. They are a perfect pair. And Moderno's food is absolutely ??? (not literally, though there are plantains)! I have had just about everything on the menu, and it is all good.Do yourself a favor, and come here immediately. Open every night, and on the weekends for brunch (with a little service gap to prep for dinner). Mind the gap. And enjoy one of my favorite places in Los Angeles.“
“They are open Monday through Friday from 6pm to very late 1130pm and are very nice people. The food is excellent especially the tacos are my favorite. The burrito is good but a little pricey for the size. Overall we were very satisfied with our meal and the friendly service here. The best part is living 2 blocks away.“
“Okay first, the salsa with the chips and salsa they serve is SO good. Spicy, but with flavor. The vegan quesadilla and the Beyond burrito were also amazing. All the veggies in them were super fresh and cooked perfectly. Also, get a black iced tea. Maybe the friendliest service as well. 100% recommend this place.“
