“Food: only ordered vegetarian food and everything was amazing. Falafel was probably the softest I have ever had so far and the mezze sampler was also quite good. I'll recommend starting off with sampler and ordering anything you like as a separate dip. Street fries were also good. They have unlimited tea and the mint lemonade was super refreshing.
Service: this place has minimal interaction with servers as every table has a QR code to order food and pay when you order.
Atmosphere: divided into 3 parts outdoor, indoor and patio. Indoors is bright with open kitchen and patio is dark with plants, string lights and heaters. Sat in patio and loved the vibe.”

“This place is amazing! The food was fantastic, reminding me of authentic desi food!! It took them a little bit to bring our naan, but at the end even though it was super busy. One of the guys came apologizing for the delay and also brought us 5 masala chai and lassi on house, If I wasn’t visiting San Francisco, I would 100% come back!”

“If you're a lover of NYC-style halal cart food, or you go crazy for falafel, hummus or babaganoush, this spot is a must visit.
The NYC-style chicken and gyro over rice is solid AF. Flavorful rice, juicy chicken, gyro nicely spiced. The falafels are crispy and herby. All the condiments and sauces included in the platters complement the mains so well. This is a go-to spot for me whenever I'm in Redwood City and need a quick bite.”
“My new go to spot for pupusas in the South Bay! Comalito has delicious pupusas and yucca fries for an astonishingly affordable price - lunch for 2 at only 20 dollars. The pork pupusa was juicy, smoky, and deliciously marinaded but the real star was the garlic and cheese. The garlic flavor is so fragrant and delicious - it was irresistible with the crispy delicious cheese. The pupusas are paired with refreshing slaw and delicious and fresh salsa. The tortilla strips with beans they serve as a complimentary appetizer is also absolutely delicious!”
“Everything was great. Waiters were friendly. Overall 5/5!”

“First time here and it was so good Had steak sandwich and chicken strips. Get the hot one I liked the best. Fries were awesome.
The staff was amazing by giving us the strips in different spices for our first time.
Beer choices were decent and I had the Double breaking bud from knee deep, was amazing.
Small place but have places to sit outside.
Definitely a place to come for games too. 3 TV's and you can sit at the at too.
We parked around the corner but small parking area.
We will definitely be back.”
“I went to this pub on St. Patrick’s Day and was incorrectly charged twice—once for my tab and again for someone else’s. When I returned to address the issue, the manager, Marcus, was incredibly rude and dismissive. Instead of apologizing or assuring me they’d correct their mistake, he said he "needed to research" and that I could "sit there all night" but wouldn’t be getting a resolution that evening. When I asked if I’d be refunded, he said he didn’t know. I calmly pointed out his unprofessionalism and lack of communication skills, and his response? He asked me to leave. It’s beyond unacceptable to treat a paying customer this way—especially when they’re trying to resolve an issue caused by the business. Beyond the awful service, the food was mediocre, the beer tasted watered down, and it took 45 minutes just to get my tab. I could have overlooked that, but the way they handled my issue was the final straw. I had to dispute the charge with my bank to get my money back because they refused to take responsibility. Avoid this place at all costs—unless you want to risk being double-charged and disrespected.”
“We offer a wonderful adventurous array of delicious Classic Pizzas but I dare you to try our Indian Fusion pizzas they are killer and once you've tasted them I bet it will become a monthly, if not weekly, dine in, take out or delivery! And if that's not your fancy come in to our HIP NEW BAR and try one of our signature cocktails! 🤫 I'd recommend the old Redwood Fashioned Featuring "Redwood Empire Whiskey" its something that will keep you foming back! If Whiskey isn't your thing that's perfectly fine try our Mango Chutney Martini or the Hibiscus Highball! We have large TVs that show MOST live games, have drink specials on NFL Sundays, Free POOL PLAY and so much more. I hope this Temps ypu to come on in and pay us a visit! #stayblessed #staygrateful”
“Great Cask style beers and even better service from Chrissy at the bar. I also recommend the fish and chips!”
“Zadna is wonderful. The food is absolutely delicious and the people are fabulous. Please make sure to support them. They deserve it.”

“This place is an amazing spot, specializing in a variety of amazing food options including, fusion and incredible appetizers that are easily shared and make for a great time in any dining experience. The staff was knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere was that of a high end restaurant. We did however experience a slight sewer odor when we first arrived but it dissipated shortly afterwards.”
“BEST everything! A must visit. We were on a tour of California and kept returning - best steak we've ever had - the paella was fabulous - the duck confit, amazing - the charcuterie platter is ridiculously good - all washed down with amazingly delicious wines paired perfectly by the expert taste buds of sommelier, chef and owner, John Graham-Taylor - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
“Came here with my husband on my birthday. Overall the food was excellent. Very good personalized service... At 7:30 p.m. we were the only people there and remained the only people there the entire time. I thought that a bit odd. The food was delicious. Carefully created. Great play presentation... Except for the worm ?/ or parasite that I found on top of the one dish. They promptly took it away and informed me they remade it. I think they just removed the flowers/leaves. Recommended sake was delicious. The menu is seasonal so things will probably adjust if others go there. I'm still thinking about that delicious chestnut inside of a fried fishball. The rice made tableside was underwhelming to be honest.”
“Went here twice for a film screening and Dust Breaks' EP release party—both different and great events! Good vibes, warm & inviting while having great staging for different kinds of events to play with. As an artist myself, I'd like to play a show here in the future for its vibes, drinks, easy access to food along the area, and friendly service! Shoutout to Allan for the friendliness and tech help!”
“By far the best Mexican food you will ever eat. The menu is filled with dishes new to me yet also has some classics. This is true Mexico City fare at its best. The cocktails are creative and fresh with house made purées and syrups. I will be back many times!”

“It's a relaxing environment after a long day at work. The sushi was amazing & most rolls are already made w/rice paper which we love. A must try!”
“Ordered a Hataka Tonkotsu Ramen and a Karaage Rice Bowl for two people.
The ramen broth was creamy and flavorful. Tasted fantastic! As for the karaage, I’d say it was one of best I’ve had at a ramen place. Judging by its portion, price is bit above average but food is good quality so worth the price. Would definitely revisit.
The dining area is a bit loud though. Our table was set pretty near to the ones next to us and it was hard not to overhear other’s conversations.”
Takeout Restaurants
“What a hidden treat la biscotteria is! I accidentally stumbled upon them when trying to get cannoli, only to discover the greatest biscotti I've ever eaten. So much flavor and crisp, and a wide range of flavors. Personal favorite is definitely the chocolate dipped chocolate hazelnut but the lemon and blueberry ones are also super solid. Great pairing with a warm drink on a cozy winter day.”
“My take out dinner was humongous from Diner Japonica. It could’ve fed 2 patrons easily. It was a combination dinner with tempura, salmon lots of rice and a side of greens w an umami dressing. The place is not a sit down diner with the booths cordoned off. The old looking restaurant is in a small strip mall right on Woodside with a small parking lot. If you like big portions of oishi foods, get on over there. If you’re looking for ambience, it’s not this place but when I’m hungry for oishi foods, I’m definitely going back. The obasan who works there is very sweet. I recommend this little take out place.”
“Lovely quaint little homestyle Italian deli with sandwiches, sausages, salads and soup. Thoroughly enjoyed, food was well proportioned but toothpicks and a nicer bathroom could have been better employed.
Dietary restrictions: Unfortunately for vegetarians/people who can’t eat meat, there are little to no options for non meat or dairy consumers. Most sandwiches have pastrami and cheese.
Kid-friendliness: Not too good if you have a picky kid. Can do substitutions; removals, etc but generally not kid friendly.”
“Love this place. The food is excellent, the pizza is obviously the star of the show (make sure to get it crispy) but the wings are outstanding as well. And they're on top of the beer game, they had a keg of Pliny the Younger before official SF beer week happened.
Love the arcade games as well, it's a good touch. Also I love the local artwork on the walls, old maps of Redwood City are always cool to look at.”
“I recommend Tacos Y MARISCOS El GORDO because of their yummy delicious SHRIMP tacos are my favorite plus I’ve had their Quesadilla and Mexican style shrimp cocktail… I like the fact that their children whom are teenagers work part time whom are polite and friendly like their parents”

“Yum! There's traditional Taiwanese food offered now. I love the traditional white rice roll and the pork belly rice bowl. Previously the menu options were primarily fusion as the purple rice roll has stuffing that you wouldn't normally find if you bought at a shop in Taiwan.”

“Beef tongue and the unagi paella was good, their sides were okay. Service took a little longer than I wouldve liked , and it was so so hot.. not sure if their AC was working”

“Can't give enough stars.
Tried to phone in an order to save time because my puppy was in the car. They said
You can bring him in.
He's not house trained yet.
It's ok, bring him in. Is he cute?
He is.
Wow, above and beyond customer service.
I sat outside at a table with Waffles, they brought him multiple bowls of water.
I interacted with 4 or 5 staff one nicer than the next, all happy the puppy was there.
In my long life I have never felt so welcomed in a restaurant.
The barbecue and sides, ALL proper.
Some nice fatty brisket, and ribs that we're great unsauced. And a variety of tasty sauces. Pickled things were perfect.
I'm a large person and their 2 meat plate is much more than I should eat, but I finished everything.
I live nowhere near Redwood City but I'm going there again.
Thanks to all of you.”
“Lavi was very polite, she helped me place my order and she went to WASH HER HANDS after touching the register to prepare my order ! Hygiene is the reason why I don’t like eating out, but I trust this place now with hygiene. And my drink was delicious. Thank you Lavi!!! I hope you get recognized for your great work. ?”
“conozco a los dueños de Estampas desde hace muchos años y la calidad de la Comida es extraordinaria pero más que eso la calidad de persona que es el dueño es A1 no solo lo digo yo lo confirman los años que se mantiene en el Top de los restaurantes peruanos de esa área 10 de 10”
“I ordered spicy teriyaki chicken bowl to go, and got regular one instead. I was very hungry so the food was good to me, but there was not much sauce on the chicken. The staff was polite! The wait for the food was quick, but they got my order wrong, which was saddening.
I didn't check it while I was there and got home before opening it, but what I ended up with was good. If I would have checked my order before leaving I'm sure it would have been resolved appropriately because the staff seemed very nice.
Just make sure you check what you ask for!”
“I've been to this place so many times, I've lost count. The food option provided here has a unique position in my heart. It's one of those Asian rice and protein bowl places where you can order each component up front and ready to eat right away. I just love this format! Not to mention, the food here is delicious! Bulgogi beef and grilled chicken are my favorites, 3 side vegetables with a large variety of options. Everything is healthy and portion is reasonably large.”

“Ever since I walked into this restaurant, I instantly fell in love. The clean, healthy, tasty, perfectly portioned sized, and masterly prepared dishes by Ali, and his friendly staff, keep me coming back. My new favorites are the lentil soup, and lamb shank (limited menu special). Satisfying food experience I highly recommend.”
“This place was fairly close by for lunch when I had to report for Jury duty. Owner was super positive and nice personality was pretty contagious, despite how terrible the weather was that day. Had their "Power Chicken" at a mild spicy level. The food came out quick, and I can tell that there was some "wok hay" in the cooking. The chicken was tender, onions were fresh, crisp, and lightly charred which takes skill. Sauce was actually mildly spicy, unlike some places where there is barely any spice when you order "mild". Generous helping of rice.
Went back after service to order a small party tray for dinner, and to get some boba next door from Teaspoon. Would go again if I was in the area and looking for food.”
“So glad have a cafe in that neighborhood! If not for this one, there is no place to eat. The place is good too and coffee size is huge. Loved the decor, the ambiance, the service, the location and the food ofcourse! Had ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, Avocado toast, Matcha and the Cafe latte. Everything was good. It’s so peaceful place located in a corner.”
“It's a good old fashioned pub. Nothing fancy, just a nice comfortable place to have a drink and make a friend. There is a large outside area where you can smoke and have a drink, which is hard to find. It's my go to place after a hard days work. The service is the best !!”
“Ordered party platters for party of 30 the day before the party and it was ready on-time. Ordered medium trays but should have gotten small since we had other food. They are very generous and the meat is piled in the trays. We ordered spam musubi, chicken Katsu and bbq chicken. All were really good. I was eating the left overs for almost a week even after sending food home with everyone. Bbq was good everyday after. Katsu because it is fried was ok. I love the Katsu sauce. There was no musubi left over. We cut the spam musubi in half so everyone could have a piece. Not cheap but makes your life easier and tastes great.”

“Located in a very small "strip mall" type location so I think some people may not give this place much consideration. But... I decided after a decade of living locally to go in and get a taco plate. The atmosphere is not the greatest but the food is amazing! And the portions are HUGE. I was able to get 3 meals out of one $15 plate there. Great flavor, perfect amount of hot sauces, they even put a giant jalapeno on top. I highly recommend. They also serve Breakfast.”

“They have a great selection of desserts and tarts. We tried many items there and everything was excellent. We also ordered a kids custom cake and Sweet table of mini's and it turned out perfect! My personal favorites include the petits fours cookies, eclairs, vanilla cake with strawberries and their delicious coffee/ Lattes. Their breakfast and lunch sandwiches are a must try! They now also have Gelato! My husband recently placed a corporate catering order from them for a variety of breakfast and dessert items and was very happy as well. Highly recommend!”

“Food - great but little pricey for the qty received. For example - 2 mid size pancakes are for around 15$ , I would suggest it should be around 10 to 11$. Although maple syrup is on the table, they charge additional $, so not sure what's the difference between the one on table vs what they get from inside.
