For the level of quality (now easily the 10th cake she's baked for me) I can honestly say that her prices are almost inexpensive. The last cake Carolyn made for us was a 14 inch double layer Boston cream cake. It was amazing. I'm sorry that I was so stupid to not take a picture. It was so delicious that it was eaten entirely that night by just 30 people. (Multiple second pieces, I had 3rds) promise if you ask Carolyn she'll know which one I'm talking about. It was absolutely stupendous ! The custard was amazing and the ganache top was ridiculously thick and decadent. My latest request is a toasted coconut cream cake. “Yeah! I just ordered the Quinoa/Millet loaf (only bought 1, which was dumb lol) all the way to Georgia and it came nice and fresh! People say to toast it and yes it's delicious that way as well but I say steam it!I steamed it, layered some Raw, Unfiltered Honey on it and Mmmm, Mmmm, MmmmmmmmmmmmmmmI toasted it, (in a pan) layered some Raw Milk Cheese on it and Mmmm, Mmmm, MmmmmmmmmmmmmmmOk, now I'm seriously thinking about taking them up on that 8 loaf, free shipping offer and it looks like they've added a new product, sweet!I should take a few pics next time!“

“There's a line out the door before they open?! I was not aware. I waited in my car when the line was forming. Well now I know, and so do you. Such a lovely place to get loaves of bread, ice cream and pastries. They are so French in there and they are so good at pronouncing everything so beautifully. I was going to take more pictures, but I was too busy figuring out what I was going to get. The line went so quick so don't be intimidated. As we entered they had a little sample of cheesy bread. I love it!! So happy I finally tried it. I bought a sourdough loaf, and a Marie Antoinette chocolate pastry. It was delicious and oh so fresh. I made an open grilled cheese with some wagon wheel bread, and tomato bisque soup and this was just the bread I needed! My new favorite bakery for sure!“

Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was WAY better than I expected and I expected it all to be delicious! My mom, who came with me, said that this place is what most places strive for but will never achieve. We are absolutely blown away! I wish I lived closer as I would frequent this place regularly! When I was there I ran into a lady that said she came from LA once a month for this place and I can see why! I was on a road trip from Seattle to Simi Valley and was told by my sister to stop here. I even brought home one of the amazing peanut butter rice krispie treats for my friend to try and they also said it was absolutely delicious and better than expected! “Since the day I went was the day before thanksgiving it was a whole holiday vibe there. Seriously reminded me of one of those holiday Hallmark movies. The bakery was bustling, there was a line of customers coming in to get bread for tomorrow. All customers were in a great mood and very chatty, some had been coming to this bakery for 20+ years, some it was there first time there. The workers all seemed happy and energetic, even with the line everyone was in and out fast and efficiently. A nice lady even offered to help me with my bread to my car bc I had two huge turkeys and a bag full of loaves and was struggling a bit. lol! I was already gonna give 5 stars for the amazing fresh bread, great service and even more amazing low prices but then as I was leaving the neighborhood cat came to greet me. I love a kitty mascot I always forget about this place until I need speciality bread or a fancy bread bowl and they never disappoint. This is the first year I ordered a Turkey bread bowl for thanksgiving and I'm obsessed with it! I cannot wait to show up to dinner tomorrow with this fancy bread bowl.“

Gorgeous gigantic lattes and I ordered a cappuccino. Took a minute for coffees to arrive. Dishes are large portions. Plated nicely and looked amazing. “This bakery has THE BEST French loaves in the area! That said, don't walk in expecting your typical bakery. This is a *working* bakery and, walking inside, you stand amidst all of the equipment that goes into baking. Yes you can walk in (not too far in, it's tiny). Yes you can buy breads (& pretzels). Yes it may take a few minutes as the Bakers will walk out from baking "in the back" to assist you in your purchase. Yes they have a cowbell. Yes you may just have to "ring" it over and over. And over again. No big deal. Just get your bread because the bread is what you're there for. I've been here 3 times since I moved to the area and I love it. The employees have all been nice and accommodating and attentive (once they're out front with you). Also. If I cannot get to the bakery I have to be sure to hit up our local Whole Foods store *early* because ....1. that's where I'll find their French loaf (I love that they supply our local WF w/their breads!); 2. their breads are so good that if I go any later than 10am (11am, latest!), the store will be out of our favorites! I definitely recommend this establishment for their high-quality breads! Go. You won't be disappointed.“

“Great food and a better atmosphere. We got a vegan bowl and a peanut butter cookie and both were amazing. The vegan bowl was huge and lasted me three meals. We ate in their adorable little seating area. Very kid-friendly. They have coloring books and games you can play in a cabinet. We would have stayed for hours if we could. We walked here from downtown and it was a nice easy walk. The only downside is the bathrooms are outside a door down and you need a key to get in.Vegetarian options: I loved my vegan bowl.
