“From the first moment we connected with Sarah, we knew we wanted to go with her for our wedding day desserts and cake! After being disappointed by the quality of a few cake/dessert tastings from other highly rated vendors in San Diego, we were really hoping to find someone that made tasty desserts, that fit within our budget, and that could bake a beautiful and delicious cake. That’s when we found Sarah’s Dessert Bar. We called and actually spoke to Sarah herself. We scheduled a tasting and actually got the chance to sit down with her, talk about which desserts were our favorites, and hear recommendations from her on what desserts were most popular with guests at previous weddings/events. Sarah was very accommodating in letting us choose a cake type/filling combination that wasn’t on her menu. As we got closer to the wedding, Sarah was very communicative and made us feel reassured that she would take care of everything on the big day. As the days counted down, we found ourselves really excited to eat more of the desserts from Sarah (we even asked her to set aside a small box for us in case the desserts were eaten quickly). The salted caramel macarons, lemon bars, Lemon trifle cups, and Chocolate pot de creme were our absolute favorites. On the day of the wedding, Sarah delivered all of the desserts and set them up beautifully on the dessert table. All of our guests would not stop talking about how delicious the desserts were, and when we cut our cake, we didn’t want to stop eating it after the first piece. At the end of our wedding night, we were SO excited to dig into our special box of desserts from Sarah. We cannot recommend Sarah’s Dessert Bar enough for any special event dessert needs you have. Sarah is our new go-to baker for all of our dessert needs for any special occasion.“

“This was one of my hardest ratings: 3, 4 or 5 stars?I gave 5, to reward the owners, as you can see that they are invested a 100% in their restaurant. Melanie's husband will be always attentive to the patrons needs. The presentation of the food is excellent (you see right away the precision of the chef who was a sushi's chef before)and the taste and quality is excellent. What is a little bit weird is that the deserts are good compared to what you can find in SD, but will not get more than 4 stars in Europe.Their drinks are 5 stars. If you're looking for a large choice , if you're looking for a restaurant where you can stay for hours, if you're looking for an old fashion design, do not come here.My main concern , and I am not the first one to point it, is that the portions are really TOO small. they deserve to be at least 50% bigger.“

“I liked this place!Vietnamese coffee - this is what I had and it's good for me because it was espresso and just coffee. Dark roast coffee brew in a metal Vietnamese drip filter, condensed milk, cream, and top with in-house sea salt cream.Avocado Smoothie - Ok! My mom used to make these for me when I was little, so when I found this I was totally excited! It was good - can't have that much since it's very rich & full of calories. A delicious, creamy and somewhat healthy smoothie make with fresh avocado and condensed milk. Top with house-made whipped cream.Keto Basque Burnt Cheesecake (GF) - This is on odd twist on cheesecake, but I liked it. Wasn't my favorite but it's ok. Cream cheese, heavy cream, eggs, Lakanto Monk Fruit sweetener, and rice flour. VN shrimp & seafood toast - I actually liked this a-lot, you get two pieces which just enough! This baked shrimp toast features rich and creamy shrimp mixture on top of crispy toast“

“This is such a cute shop! The gentleman serving us today was really friendly and welcoming. All the desserts looked amazing! The macarons were really good, and gluten-free! They also had a nice variety of chocolates, cake things, and a gelato counter. Great spot to satisfy a sweet tooth!“
