“This is not a review about the place, but a review about a person that works here. His Name is Raz and let me tell you that this guy will go above and beyond for you. My wife and I were visiting the coffee place next door and lost our keys. We thought maybe we had lost them in the parking lot so we went next door to see of maybe somebody that visited the place next door had turned them in , that's when we met Raz. If the owner personally knows Raz just know that he went above and beyond to try and help us and we hope that if there is some type of employee compensation for his actions because his care, time, and compassion he displayed made our unfortunate situation go alot easier. We are visiting from out of town and I had my wife and 1 yr old daughter. Eventually we found our keys but as mentioned before if it wasn't for Raz our situation would have felt worst“

Each dish is made in-house and packed with flavor and freshness. With generous portion sizes, each bite left us satisfied, yet craving more.Here’s what we loved:? harissa sauce: spicy, bold flavor that packs a punch in every bite? the pita was fluffy and soft and our 8-year-old happily gobbled them up with the delicious hummus? the hummus fries were fun and flavorful? the falafel salad was a delightful combination of fresh vegetables and flavor-packed quinoa and rice that left all of us wanting more? the vegan portobello pita sandwich was delightfully delicious and satisfying, especially to our mushroom loving 5-year-old? the shakshuka was savory perfectionThe menu is extensive and adaptable and is sure to satisfy any flavor palette and desire. ?It’s in a fantastic location in a shopping plaza with ample parking. “1st time at this place, we were greeted by the owner as soon as we walked in. He was very attentive and genuinely nice and wholesome. The food was amazing and fresh, saw the owner and employee making everything to order from where we were sitting. Will be back many times, I'm sure, seeing as it's 5 minutes away from my office of business and the 5 star quality of service and food“

First of all, I think the lady that helped me order was named Alexandera…well give her a raise…I haven’t had a better customer service experience in such a long time! And that’s on top of how good the food was! I had the Chx Cream Chop Wrap…and wow! So good!!! And when you add that red sauce that it came with…seriously…mind blown! “Kebab Shop is my go to when I'm in the gaslamp. 5 stars in all categories.I was a little disappointed they discontinued the meatballs but I had the Kafta and it's actually better.Doesnt matter if you like a wrap or a plate both are exceptional.The manager is a cool dude as well. Always very pleasant and on top of his game.Fair warning, it takes like 10 or 15 minutes for the steak so be patient when you go there and order a freshly cooked skewer of meat.“

“The food is clean, tasty, fresh and healthy. What else can you ask for? You could see the owner grinding in the kitchen to make sure everything is perfect. He really cares about your experience. This places one of a kind and very authentic. MOST of the other places in San Diego have influences from Iraq, which is good in its own way. But this place has a touch of the Levant and is a totally different eating experience. One bite and you are hooked... I've eaten here many times and I've never been let down...“

The salad was fresh and simple and great dressing, seemingly made fresh, as was the hummus. “I tried the Kebab shop location in Ventura and have loved it ever since, so when I was getting into San Diego after a long work week I was craving the freshness and cleanliness feel of the Kebab Shop food. I had the San Diego wrap previously which was fantastic and turned me onto this place in the first place. This time I had a bowl on greens with chicken and added rice and hummus. They have the greatest mixture of flavors with their ingredients and the classic garlic yogurt sauce brings it all together. Love this place and have tried to make my own version at home but just doesn't compare.“

“The food is good, however, the portions for the price is a little high. The humus was my absolute favorite, and the salad was good as well. The meat, was not bad, but I’ve had better. Overall, I would definitely give them a second chance. Parking is a little tight, and there’s plenty of seating. Friendly staff, and good food. They also have pizza.“

“The food is delicious. The gyros sandwiches are wonderful. Fresh and delicious. The feta fries were yummy too. Ordering was good. Food delivery was .... The food came out separately. Everything was ordered at once but each entree arrived 3-5 minute apart. 1 of the entrees was very different than ordered. They didn't seem to care that it wasn't correct. Everyone's food got cold waiting for everything to arrive. They'd deliver 1 item to one table and 2 to another. Usually each table is served in full. This was very confusing to me. And the tzatziki ordered (and we paid $1.50 for each tablespoon size serving) had to be asked for repeatedly. The order of feta fries that used to come on a big plate were now in a tiny basket. Maybe 15 fries for $6.95. Very disappointing. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady there said I could speak to her. I had already spoken to her and wanted to get a different opinion on the size of the fry order. It was very different than when I had been there prior. I keep coming back because the food is so good. But each time I leave I'm not happy on how hard it was to get the food. The service isn't bad, but it has some definite room for improvement. I'm frustrated but the food tastes so good.“
“Popped in with a buddy on a whim. The parking lot is a little small and the outside of the building is a little worse for wear, but holy cow the food. From the parking lot the scent of seasonings and grilled meat had me salivating.The food was amazing and there was a ton of it for the price. I got a chicken plate with hummus and pickled vegetables and couldn't finish it. One plate is easily enough to split for a good sized lunch for 2. Took home some chicken shawarma which i demolished for dinner. Super looking forward to being back in the area to grab another meal.The seating is a little limited, but the inside was immaculately kept. Reminded me a bit of being in Sicily where the outside appearance has little bearing on how nice the inside is. Staff was super friendly and helpful. My buddy and I put in to go orders and they took the initiative to wait about 10-15 minutes to start cooking it so it was hot when we left.Parking: The lot is shared with a few other businesses, but it looked like about 10-12 spots were there.“
