“This was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. Our order arrived on time, and most importantly, the dishes were delicious. I visited the place with my wife, and she was very pleased. As they say, a happy wife equals a happy life.“
“Mashallah, the food is good and deliciousWe had breakfast with them and ordered a Kosi lamp banana, and the food was good and delicious. Also, the meat and chicken shawarma. The meat was 10/10 and the chicken was 9/10. The sister was there and her service was good. Thank you for the welcome.“
“This was amazing! I wish I had took pictures but it was too good to wait. The gyro is so unique, yet the best gyro I have ever had. The orange juice is very good. The service was amazing. Medina was so hospitable. We will be back every time I am in San Diego. Hvala!!!“
“The food was excellent!! Flavors were blended so perfectly and the meat was juicy and tender. We were so delighted by the friendly and personalized service, authentic decor, and lively music. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It will not disappoint!!“
“I loved my falafel wrap from here. I have been looking for a falafel with a soft core and a not too oily fried exterior, and this was exactly it. Partner got the lamb shank and I was eating the rice that came with it on its own.Ample parking .“
“I’ve come here the past three days and every single time it hits. The girl in the front always has a smile and makes sure my bowl is always looking right. Cashier is always positive and tells me to have a nice day and makes me enjoy my meal even more.“
“Ordered the Wet Birria Tacos with everything on it and despite the sizes of them being small (see lime for scale), they pack a punch for flavor so get extra! The service was speedy, and they were super gracious with explaining how they work. Their being Zabiha halal (view their instagram) is a great way for everyone to eat and I can't wait to see what else they do with their food.“
“Wow…this place is blowing up with awesome food and flavors. We tried many options and they were all fantastic. We order chicken and goat sukka, butter chicken, tikka Marsala, veg street noodles (so good we ordered the chicken ones also) butter naan, biryani, rice, white rice, and basmati rice. For appetizers, try the tandoori chicken and chicken 65. Everything including the service was awesome.“
“I never write reviews…even when I really really disliked a place…but I’m literally writing this right after I ate here. First of all, I think the lady that helped me order was named Alexandera…well give her a raise…I haven’t had a better customer service experience in such a long time! And that’s on top of how good the food was! I had the Chx Cream Chop Wrap…and wow! So good!!! And when you add that red sauce that it came with…seriously…mind blown! Not only will I come back…I will tell everyone I know about this place!“
“This is the best vegetarian Indian Restaurant in San Diego. Buffet is all vegetarian.Vegetarian options: Best Vegetarian place and every saturday the buffet is all vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Best place for vegetarian food in San Diego.“
“Pretty good hot chicken place, I usually go for the slider combo with the hot spice level, which has a good balance between flavor and spice. The fry portion isn't too small nor too large either. The only thing to keep in mind is that they make orders in batches only so the wait might be 20 to 30 minutes before it's ready.“
“Mike's exceptional service left a lasting impression on us. His humor, energy, and attentiveness made our dining experience truly enjoyable. We were so impressed that we returned with more friends two days later. Thanks to Mike, our time here was nothing short of fantastic!“
“I have been wanting to go here for years and finally had a chance to go with my wife for a Friday lunch. Parking can be a little tough, but there is free street parking and pay lots nearby. The restaurant atmosphere is super cool inside and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. The food was delicious. We got an appetizer platter and loved it. We ate the entire appetizer platter, including extra Pita bread, and almost ruined our appetites before our entrées arrived. The main meals were delicious. I also got the vegetarian platter with 4 different items and different rices.I will definitely go again (next time not on a Friday during Lent so that I can try some of the entrées with meat options). I will also recommend to friends and others.Vegetarian options: Wide variety of vegetarian options with excellent flavor profiles and large, hearty portions.“
“Oh what a Humble Spot! Humble Bean Cafe is smooth, sophisticated flavor, with secret menu offerings that tantalize and please the palet. Ask for the rose matcha coffee brewed hot or iced! Great vibes. Bring a laptop and hang with the regulars. Some items sell out too!“
“"It all tasted great!" - Quote from my co-review writer my 13 year old little dude.We are basically on a chicken tour of SD during our spring break stay, so we had to hit up DHC. A quick short walk from Pacific Beach - they have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was super friendly and helpful with spice level and the sauces they offer. The food came out quick, and it was good! I ordered one "slider" but it's def. the size of a regular chicken sandwich! I personally love Dave Sauce. I think it is some of the best sauce around! Great job!!“
“Wondered in after reading the sign outside advertising a special. Somalian food I had not ever experienced. I was offered a delicious hot black tea with milk and sugar. I ordered the salmon with rice, and salad. It was SO DELICIOUS. Clove and bay leaf slow cooked rice. The fish lightly crisp on the outside, buttery and cooked to perfection within. Kind courteous Somalian people and culture. I look forward to sharing more, and trying other dishes. Ancient good food.“
“We had a pretty big group of friends getting together after quite some time. Paya and Nihari were the best. My friends liked the grilled kebabs also. They also introduced Khapsa, a Yemani dish but with a desi twist. Very tasty. Overall great experience. Highly recommendedParking: We arrived pretty late in the day, so parking was no issue.“
“Wagyu beef and the chicken were really tender and melted in your mouth! Prices are a little steep for a food truck. I had a few items to share: wagyu beef and chicken plate was really good and delicious rice! The lemon cream chop fries were great the first half of the portion, I think I got over with the lemon taste after that, but the breaded chicken on top was great.I also tried the Greek wrap. I felt like it was soggy and had "too much going on outside the wrap" for my taste.Overall, I've had this place twice in a week, I would go again, but I feel that Guy F. From food network really helped put it on the map.“
“I love this place. They are always pleasant and greet you when you walk in. Food is amazing every time. Even for a small business they seem passionate about what they do. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking to taste authentic East African cuisine.“
“I had been craving Middle Eastern food for a while and saw these guy at the night market event at Mission Valley mall. The food was so fresh and flavorful!I chatted with one of the guys behind the grill how much I had missed my family's cooking. He was very kind and gave me a generously sized piece of (what my family calls) kadaif. If you are ever fortunate enough to find these guys with a fresh batch, be sure to ask for a slice!“
“This Somalian restaurant is a hidden gem. The diverse menu boasts authentic Somali dishes that tantalize the taste buds with unique flavors. The service is exceptional, characterized by warmth and attentiveness. The restaurant's ambiance, adorned with cultural elements, provides a cozy and inviting space, making it an immersive and delightful dining experience.“
“The food is good, however, the portions for the price is a little high. The humus was my absolute favorite, and the salad was good as well. The meat, was not bad, but I’ve had better. Overall, I would definitely give them a second chance. Parking is a little tight, and there’s plenty of seating. Friendly staff, and good food. They also have pizza.“
“THIS IS A GREAT PLACE! Without exaggeration, I've probably visited this place over 20 times. This is the BEST Indian food I've found in San Diego, yet it seems like I'm eating at a fancy restaurant because it's so reasonably priced. It's pretty amazing how pleasant, kind, and attentive the service is, and how nicely decorated and presented the plates and dishes are. I suggest all chicken dishes, but especially Chicken 65 and " Chicken dum Biryani." Any finicky eater, like me, will appreciate the meals here. I say this from experience.“
“Was a toss between 3 and 4 stars but ended up giving 4. Ordered the soltani, chicken kabob, and cucumber yogurt dip. First I thought it was kind of weird for them to give garlic Nan instead of Persian bread but the Nan was tasty. The chicken kabob was very good and tender so I would definitely recommend. The soltani was a different story. The koobahdi was standard and good but the filet was not filet. It literally tasted like carne asada which I have never experienced at a Persian restaurant before. Price point was on the level for the quality of the food.“
“Second time getting individual pizza here. I got the Parmesan Chicken pizza ?with mushrooms, love it!!! The customer service is pristine. The owner is a really welcoming and attentive person. I forgot to leave any review cause I was devouring the amazing food. We will definitely be coming back!Vegetarian options: I’ve seen options for pizzaParking: Parking is available right in front of the shop“
“My coworker and I came here on a Friday night, I think he had some sort of Groupon. We ordered a ton of things: Masala Vada - Deep fried chana dal patties served with Chutney, Masala Dosa - Dosa stuffed with masala (potato, carrot, peas and onion), Vegetable Biryani - Dosa stuffed with masala (potato, carrot, peas and onion), Malai Kofta - Deep fried balls (koftas) made with potato and paneer are dunked in a creamy spiced velvety smooth curry, Gobi Manchurian - Cauliflower florets tossed in hot chilli and soy based manchurian sauce, Bisi Bele Bath - Rice, lentils, and vegetables cooked with special blend of spices, Onion Naan and Garlic Naan. Food was amazing and I would love to come here again!“
“My first time ever trying this place out and i fell in love! I will definitely be coming back here again. The staff are cool and welcoming. The atmosphere is very hip and fun. I enjoy all the scenic walls while waiting for my food. My sandwiches were delicious and really satisfying. Great quality ingredients as well. Well worth the prices!“
“Updated reviewCame here again a year later and I have to say the food is very good. Had the ox tail soup, curried fried rice, fried dumplings, sweet and sound shrimp, and king Lao chicken. Everything was very good, fresh, and came out quickly. Service is still hectic though.———-I really wanted to give this place a better rating because it is really the only halal Chinese spot in San Diego. The food was ok and the service was ok. But I probably would not come here again. We ordered a few different dishes but many of them tasted the same. The lamb cumin was very different than other lamb cumin I have tried. This one was like doused in cumin powder and didn’t have any red peppers which at other Chinese restaurants always do. The beef soup tasted like pure soy sauce, just full of sodium. The curry fried rice we ordered is not what we got. My friend said last time he came it had a yellow sauce on top, this time was just a normal fried rice dish. Not sure what’s going on there. The place was very busy but the service was fast and felt hectic. The owners really should hire at least one server and not try to do everything on their own. I really hope they can get better because it is a nice spot.“
“Amazing location, great food, and kind staff. We got there, and the cashier recommended dishes that were all really good, we sat down, and the food came out in 10 minutes. The staff were all extremely kind. They let us bring pizza from next door to eat as an appetizer. They are also great for larger groups of people, I went with 10 others, and they had space for us instantly. I really enjoyed the food and recommend the wraps.Vegetarian options: You can ask them to remove meat from your meal.Dietary restrictions: Very large selection“
“Went to this place a couple weeks to catch the happy hour. We've been looking for good indian food since the pandemic and we have found it!! Garry was the best and was attentive to our needs. When the tables started to fill up, he got a bit busy but he would check in and see if we needed anything else. Food was delicious and the MANGOSSSSSS! So good! Try out the happy hour! Will go again. (Side note: The restaurant has a rental hall and it does get a bit loud when they play music but we didn't mind. )“
“This is not a review about the place, but a review about a person that works here. His Name is Raz and let me tell you that this guy will go above and beyond for you. My wife and I were visiting the coffee place next door and lost our keys. We thought maybe we had lost them in the parking lot so we went next door to see of maybe somebody that visited the place next door had turned them in , that's when we met Raz. If the owner personally knows Raz just know that he went above and beyond to try and help us and we hope that if there is some type of employee compensation for his actions because his care, time, and compassion he displayed made our unfortunate situation go alot easier. We are visiting from out of town and I had my wife and 1 yr old daughter. Eventually we found our keys but as mentioned before if it wasn't for Raz our situation would have felt worst“
