“Zaytoon was really delicious Lebanese food. The place is tucked away near Mission Santa Barbara, up a small staircase, and in a small, White House. They have limited seating inside but it was enough to sit for an early Saturday dinner. There is also a patio area outside where you could eat but it was rainy. We ordered the: - Combo kebabs- comes with 1 lamb, 1 chicken and 1 beef kebab along with a small fatoosh salad and rice pilaf. We substituted for 2 chicken and 1 beef. All meats were super juicy, although my companion preferred more spices on the chicken. Salad was excellent. - Pistachio spread - must order. It was so creamy. Love the pomegranates on top. - Side of pita- which costs extra, 2 full, warm pitas cut in half. Total bill came up to $60 not including tip. Service was attentive and pleasant. Parking is available on the street for 90 minute parking except Sundays which is unlimited. I'd come back again if I were in the area.“

“Came on a stormy weeknight, so it wasn't crowded. We were seated quickly. Service was direct and simple -- never overbearing. Thank goodness. The chicken shawarma plate was highly recommended and it was 10/10 -- mostly because the garlic sauce was the best I've ever had. The eggplant falafel plate was also delicious, though I prefer the chicken shawarma. I like that the falafel are a smaller size -- tastes better this way for some reason. We added a side of pickled radish and the pita bread and glad to have those added to the meals. It costs extra, but the meals felt incomplete without them. This is a nice informal date spot or a nice place for a family dinner. We will return!“

“Had breakfast here twice during our five-night stay. Food was delicious! Highly recommend the french toast!! Our server, Alex, was delightful. She was very pleasant, friendly, and made the absolute best latte -- better than most baristas in most coffee shops!“

Café Lido Breakfast • $

“A new year day 1, so we started off at a place we hadn't been to before. Cafe Lido is located poolside at Mar Monte Hotel on the Santa Barbara waterfront, within walking distance of the Santa Barbara Zoo, and this time of year has a wonderful sunset view until they close at 5. Even better, the friendly bar serves great Cosmopolitans. There are tables poolside as well as at the bar and indoors. We enjoyed our cocktails poolside along with a perfect grilled cheese on thick sourdough, homemade thick tomato soup, and French fries. A great start to the new year!“

“I have been looking for Mediterranean food in Goleta/Santa Barbara for some time and finally found this place. Good food and great service Angel & Sarinna. Ordered their falafel plate and falafel wraps for dinner and liked both of them. Decent seating area and good atmosphere.“
