“Lovely little restaurant, amazing place for bento boxes. We tried a chicken katsu bento with a spicy tuna roll, edamame, wakame, gyoza and white rice. The chicken was made to perfection, moist on the inside and not dry at all. We tried boba strawberry milk and Thai iced tea which were great as well. The owner Yoyo was extremely friendly and accommodating, she is a ray of sunshine that makes this restaurant an absolute gem of a place that you'd want to visit again and again.“

“We came here on New Years Day and they were packed as you would expect. They were very kind and accommodated our 6 person table as quickly as they could. For such a casual eatery the food is immaculate. Nothing I've eaten here as disappointed on portion or flavor. Their Tom yum noodles with crispy chicken are something I craze frequently. Their Garlic Noodles are so flavorful! I have been back and will continue coming back here!“

“I knew of this brand in San Jose. So glad to find one branch here in Stonestown. Their matcha is to die for. The matcha ice cream is definitely the best one I’ve had. Their matcha latte and float are very good as well. Not too sweet and strong matcha flavor.Next time I will try their other famous- hojicha!Kid-friendliness: They have the things that kids love: ice cream, waffles and cakes.“

“I am not the biggest fan of boba, and it's not my go to treat, however, the caramel vanilla boba option we had at a large corporate event caught my eye and I ended up trying one. To my delight, this was so delicious, just a perfect amount of sweetness. I really can't get used to the tapioca pieace in boba, but I was able to enjoy a few, and really just drank the milk tea. It was the perfect afternoon pick me up.“

“Hands down like my favourite place I have ever been for matcha. The soft serve was sooo creamy and the perfect ratio of matcha! The store is pretty small but it's so adorable because the doors are open and you can feel the breeze while you're inside. The cone is DELICIOUS and the service is good! Not a very long line when I was there.“

“I accidentally shopped here, bought two pineapple buns, two paper cup cakes, one coconut bun and one cream bun. Every bun tasted so good, especially The cream bun, was so yummy cuz they used salted cream! Two things that were not good: 1. no Apple Pay ( but accept Zelle) its so inconvenient to log in my bank account for Zelle, so I ended up paid by cash 2. Charged plastic bag for 25 cents each (if you shop a lot here, bring your own bag . I would still recommend this place to my friends to try, especially the cream bun“

“Consistently good drinks with unique seasonal offerings. I’ve been coming to this place for years, and it’s become one of my go-to’s in the city. Recently, I went and ordered 3 of the new drinks on the menu for my friend and I to try. I added boba to 1 of the drinks but later found out it wasn’t included. I didn’t realize while I was still at the place because the drinks were put into a to-go bag. I’m a little disappointed since I paid extra for the boba. I’ll still come back of course, but I’ll double check that my drinks are correct.“

“I did catering here and I'm glad that they open early on a Saturday as well as their online system, was smooth convenient to use. Kalua pork was too dry. If I knew, I would have opted for either crispy shrimp or chicken katsu. I wished that they had pork katsu so I would have ordered pork katsu and get a variety of chicken, beef and pork. BBQ chicken was nicely flavored and tender as well as their BBQ short ribs. They tried to be healthy with cabbage on the bottom and broccoli on each corner. I ate the veggies with the abundant meat. Macaroni salad was on point. Spam musubi and lumpias were added and nice starters. Portions are generous.Recommended spot - especially when feeding a village party!“

“Quality almond milk oolong boba tea with a fancy interior and good seating area. You can self order, which is super convenient, or if you prefer, you can order with the friendly barista as well. There seems to be a tea bar at the back, which I presume to have a tea master that is able to explain the various selections if you are curious, but I did mot explore that part so can't really speak to it.“

“You can smell the tea and boba when you're nearby, so you know they're fresh and delicious! I like the tea options here, and it's a great place to sit indoors or outdoors with WiFi, though it does tend to get a bit crowded at times, so finding a spot might be tricky during peak hours. Definitely feels like a nice neighborhood spot!“

“great original refreshing drinks that you can control the sugar level of. (i often order a bunch of drinks for dessert after family meals) good pandan waffles most importantly, they are the only place in SF with kickass durian shakes only thing is i hate waiting until they open at noon on the weekends. (11am would be perfect - i'm insanely thirsty after class ends at 11am and hate killing an hour of my saturday until they open) if you have coffee on your menu, open up before noon“

“Genuinely surprised that I could still find a drink (+ topping) for less than $4.50, so I really consider it a steal. We just got a classic Assam milk tea + boba and honestly stumbled upon it because it was the closest shop within walking distance (and still open) from the restaurant we ate at. Is it the best drink or boba I've ever had? Definitely not, but it's also not towards the bottom of the scale. I have to say the price to quality ratio is just stellar. The inside was quite big, looks like they have it set up for people to work and hangout there. It wasn't crowded though, probably because we went pretty close to closing time.“

“A new coffee shop has opened on Clement Street. I have tried their green tea mochi flight and ice dopo panna latte. Initially, I chose the strawberry flavor, but I did not enjoy it. However, I tried the vanilla flavor on my second visit and found it to be quite good. It was not overly sweet and paired well with the ube white chocolate mochi. The combination of sweet and slightly bitter flavors was delightful. I highly recommend this establishment. It will likely become my go-to spot when shopping at the nearby Asian market.“

“I've had my eye on this spot for a couple of months and I'm so glad I gave it a try. What caught my attention was their fried pork chop over rice. Pretty huge portion for $13.95. I got it with curry sauce and it did not disappoint. The curry didn't taste like the typical Japanese curry with a lot of spices.. it's more like the HK style cafe curries.. idk man but I loved it. I do wish it came with a little more sauce because I'm a sauce drinker LOL. The pork chop had the perfect amount of batter and it was perfectly crispy and seasoned. So tender. Came with a bed of white rice and cabbage/salad.Once you walk in, you can order from the kiosk or online. Then they'll call your order when it's ready. Basically you can choose to dine in or dine out because it comes in a to go container for convenience. Overall, solid spot. 4.5/5. Would come back!03.06.2024 | Wednesday @12:40pm“

“The teas are strong, the smoothies are delicious. I have only heard about the tea because I am a caffeine free child, but the smoothies. THE SMOOTHIES!!!!! They have so many different flavours, and the sweetness is always perfect. I also like how their large sizes are actually large. I definitely recommend the red bean smoothie, which somehow exists, and I LOVE IT. The drinks can get a bit sweet, but you can change the sweetness on all of them, I believe. Since they are a very popular business, it does take some time for them to make the drinks, but the wait is always worth it. And, they are "professionals," and they work as hard as they can to make your drink. It's a very small place, so most people get their drinks to-go, which is what happens at most boba shops anyways, so that doesn't change anything about my extremely high opinions about them. I did have a favourite drink before, but they took it off the menu. I have since loved the red bean smoothie, and highly recommend it.:)“

“As a Taiwanese I approve of this! The boba is very good and the tea is also very good. There's a combo deal for medium hk milk tea with an egg waffle. “In need of an afternoon pick-me-up, I stopped by at this place and ordered the signature lemon burst with green tea and boba pearls. The tea was delicious, and the pearls were sweet and chewy. The only thing I wish they did differently was remove the lemon seeds, as I kept getting them in my mouth when I took sips and had to spit them out. Overall good option for fruit tea though.“
“Glad to find this place. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of their offering and even their service. Well I don't really like coffee drinks that have flavorings in them. I was pretty hungry and was almost about to order one when I saw that they had more extensive boba type menu. And I ordered the taro drink which had a combination of fresh taro milk and kind of the artificial taro milk mixture. You can see that they have different layers and it looks pretty nice. I would go back and try the other boba things. The staff were pretty nice and willing to answer my questions about what was in their drinks.“

“You know, for the longest time, I used to wonder why there weren't more boba shops around the outer edge of the Sunset District. I get that the area out here doesn't get the same foot traffic as the stretch of Irving by 19th Ave, for example, but that's also my point - without much competition, and given all of the nearby schools, a good boba shop could kill it! So, you can imagine how delighted I was to see that Bobaville opened up their second location out here. Granted, I'd yet to try their original location in Daly City either, but I had heard so many good things about it from friends that I couldn't help but feel excited to see one pop up so much closer to me!Now, I should note that I'm fully aware that Eggettes offers boba and they aren't all that far from here. However, like several of my longtime, go-to spots on this side of SF, they seem to have fallen off over the years (or my taste has just improved). As such, Bobaville and their collection of drinks is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Sure, it'd be nice if they also had food offerings as well, but I'm not going to quibble over that. Not when nearly every variety of tea, matcha, smoothie, and coffee on the sounds so enticing! Plus, their boba is made in house, so huge plus points for that!-- ICE CREAM TEA - Choice of Tea (Black) with a Scoop of French Vanilla Ice Cream...$5.25(yelp.com/biz_photos/boba…)Pretty unique...and delicious! Given the ice cream, I asked for 25% and it was just right after mixing everything together. Surprisingly, the texture could've been creamier, but I liked how the ice cream complemented the tea rather than overpowered it.-- HONG KONG MILK TEA - Black Tea Serviced with Sugar and Evaporated Milk...$5(yelp.com/biz_photos/boba…)Not as good as the Ice Cream Tea, but still pretty solid! It was a little sweet at 75%, but not as sweet as other places' 75%. As far as taste goes, it was quite tasty, though the consistency was a little bit on the watery side for me.-- ALMOND TEA - Almond Flavored Black Tea with Non-Dairy Creamer...$5.25(yelp.com/biz_photos/boba…)I got this one at 50% sweet and it was just right - just enough to complement the almond flavor (though I wish the latter was stronger). I also added their Homemade Boba to try (+$.75) and it was fantastic! Flavorful with a nice, tender chewiness to it.-- MANGO KING - Ultra Creamy Mango Drink Made With Mango Puree, Mango Ice Cream, and Whipped Cream...$6.50(yelp.com/biz_photos/boba…)I came for this after hearing so many good things from friends and it is SO GOOD! The consistency is perfect (super creamy but not thick) and it's full of mango flavors from the ice cream and the puree. One of my new favorites anywhere! In addition to their tasty drinks, another big positive about Bobaville is their staff. Every time I've been here, the workers have always been super friendly and seem genuinely happy to help when folks have asked questions. I also love how relatively easy it is to find nearby parking. Of course, it's even easier at night, but they close somewhat early (6pm on most nights, 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays), which is really the only "bad" thing about them. I mean, I get why (not many places out here stay open late), but if they were to close a bit later, I'm sure folks like me would make the drive from elsewhere just because everything here tastes so good! All in all, I'm not sure what I'm happier about - the fact that Bobaville has opened up in SF, that I've finally learned what so many other Yelpers have already known about them, or that they were as good as I had hoped. I'm not sure if I'd go so far as to say that they're my favorite boba shop around, but they're certainly one of my favorites on this side of The City. Yes, even ahead of my nostalgic favorite, Wonderful Desserts.FOUR AND A HALF STARS rounded up.“

“In many Asian households, the highest compliment for something that's supposed to be sweet is, "Yum, it's not too sweet!" Cuppa isn't enthusiastic about making sugary drinks according to a posted sign, which suits my palate just fine. Though their pretty ombre drinks are tempting (July4 is red, white, & blue, & Summer Sunsets is aptly named), I've always only ordered the unadventurous, but reliably delicious Decaf Jasmine Green Milk Tea with lychee jelly. I alternate between 50% and 75% sweet & honestly, they both taste similar & perfectly not-too-sweet for me. Love it, will continue to order it. I've yet to try their frozen yogurt, but I did buy Chicken Teriyaki Misubi (two pieces to an order) based on being told that it's made with chicken breast. Plot twist: it was made with chicken thigh, my least favorite piece. All good, they excel at making milk tea, & that's all that matters. I guess you could say Cuppa is my cuppa tea.“

“I got the matcha latte with oat meal and it was quite creamy and had good matcha taste. I added boba and I absolutely love boba guy's boba! It is perfectly chewy and soft, as well as coated in honey which makes it sweet. I like that you are able to adjust the milk at no extra cost. One thing I didn't like was that the cashier did not ask me if I wanted toppings, milk alternative, sugar adjustments, ice adjustments or which size; so I ended up getting (default) small instead of large because it had slipped my mind when I was telling her all my adjustments. Otherwise the drink itself was very good! Their boba is solid and they have interesting drink flavors like banana milk. “This place is very cute. It's nicely decorated, perfect for photo ops. It's also very spacious and has some seating. It's a good spot to hang out with friends or do work/study. There's a self-ordering kiosk located right by the entrance. I ordered the Creme Brulee Boba Drink with less ice and at 50% sweetness. Overall, the drink was decent. The boba itself was warm, soft, and chewy - 5/5. Even at half sweet, it was still decently sweet. I probably could've gone down to 25%. Most of sweetness came from the creme brulee, I think. If you're craving a sweet and creamy drink, this would be perfect. Service was quick. My drink was done a couple minutes after I ordered.“

“Visiting the bay area with my fam this weekend and I was craving for boba so that's how we discovered this place. A bit pricey but then again, everything is pricey nowadays. I loved how perfectly cooked and chewy the boba was. The drink in itself was just the right amount of sweetness (all the drinks we got was regular sugar, and I even got a snow top for my drink!) and didn't over power that "tea" taste which I truly appreciate because as a milk tea enthusiast, most boba places nowadays have been tasting more like sweet milk and is lacking that tea taste in the "milk tea." Even the tart wasn't overly sweet; it was so good that I didn't feel too guilty having consumed that much sugar during my visit lol. 10/10 recommend and definitely crossing all my fingers that they make good business so I can come back when I'm in town!!!“
