“This place is AMAZING! It’s completely unassuming from the exterior; but the food and the service was way beyond my expectations! I truly wish there was a French restaurant like this in San Diego; I’d eat there at least once a week!!!”
“Be careful- the spicy tuna crispy rice is addicting! Taisho is our go to spot when family & friends visit from out of town. You can’t go wrong with anything you order there. It’s all delicious. Highly recommend checking out their happy hour!”
“The artistic name of the bistro matches the artistry and delicious flavors of the cuisine. A threesome: vegetarian, vegan, and carnivore found a multitude of savory options. Our waiter/thesbian: Chris was charming and anticipated our every request. Foreseeing a return.”

“We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Casita! Brittany, the concierge, and our server Delilah provided exceptional, warm, and professional service that truly stood out. The food was not only delicious but also incredibly flavorful, and the atmosphere was simply stunning—inviting, elegant, and perfectly suited for a memorable evening. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed every moment. This was an experience to remember, and we’re already looking forward to coming back soon!”
“So great for quick and amazing sushi! We got the tuna Don bowl and brussel sports but we’ve also had the popcorn shrimp spicy tuna roll and their crispy rice - it’s all amazing”

“I just ordered for the first time today and I must say your food is fantastic! Generous portion with pickles and delicious soft boiled eggs, pickles, puréed fresh tomatoes and a small amount of hot sauce that isn’t too hot. Just right. Went to your place near corner of Van Nuys and Burbank. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED”

“Love the atmosphere of this comfortably casual bar. Ample outdoor seating provides the perfect spot to sip a beer or two relaxing in the sunshine. I don’t eat meat so I haven’t tried the burgers, which come highly recommended. The garlic parmesan fries are excellent and enough for 3 people. Sorry I can’t say the same for the cauliflower wings or pretzels with cheese sauce. But I had the best-poured beer of my life—a fresh Scrimshaw pilsner in a sparkling-clean glass. See attached video. Despite the venue’s name, they now offer cocktails as well as beer and wine.”
“This little hidden gem!!! Food was AMAZING! Fried chicken, candied yams, greens, macaroni and cheese, beef ribs...all were delicious! We live in Ventura County and drove to the San Fernando Valley to check this place out. It was worth the drive.
The food takes 20-25 minutes to be served and I am petfectly fine with that because it it made to order. Check them out. The owner is very attentive and provides great service!”
“Zoza was the best! Don’t know how she could hear us but she did it!! Food was great! They did custom menus for my husbands 30th and there was even a live jazz band 10/10 experience will definitely come back!!!”

“I went with a large group and I think everyone but me like their entrées way better than I did. I really think maybe I just made a wrong taste choice. I went for a mushroom ravioli with a cream sauce. I have to say the service was excellent. It’s a cute little restaurant. You probably wanna make a reservation if you’re going there, the bread is incredible. It’s so so yummy. I did enjoy the appetizers. I was not impressed though by the Caesar salad I was with five other people and they all loved their trace. I think I just made a poor choice. I would recommend it and even for a romantic night or dinner.”
“Andreas Super helpful and knowledgeable about all the foods on the menu the chef always hook it up fresh. Oh my God, cucumber salad stuff. It’s unbelievable delicious number of sauces. You can choose from really affordable and large portions. You have to try this place multiple different choices. Trust me you will not be disappointed.”
“This use to be one of my favorite locations. The service is fast, and the cashiers are always nice and professional. It’s also a very safe location but not a lot of places to eat outside like other locations. Overall it’s still a good clear restaurant with fresh food.”
“Luna Grill was looking real clean when I walked in, so off to a good start. Ordered the chicken and beef kabob plate...solid portion for the price. Flavors were nice, but the beef leaned a little salty. Now, about those metal chairs… rock hard. Felt like I was sitting on a slab of concrete. A little padding wouldn’t hurt. Food was good, though, so I’d come back...just maybe seat on the booth next time.”
“Every time I visit Schatzi's Bakery, there's always a new and fun treat to try! The creativity and variety keep things exciting, and everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes each visit even more enjoyable. It's truly a gem!”
“Me & my husband go here regularly. Amazing staff, food is ace! real taste of home. We often go with our family and every time- food, drinks & staff have been spot on. The Tuck shop next door 🚪 OMG do not get me started we easily spend a small fortune each time. Because we know we can stock up & the price is reasonable. we actively choose to drive their rather than go online because it's about supporting other businesses & expats. This pub truly has an English atmosphere. Reminds me home UK & Ireland. THEY GOT CRACKERS IN! birds custard, every sweet you could want. if you are British & you are in LA. if you ent been here...are you even britsh?”
“Lovely food, charming interior. We had carpaccio, lobster bisque, crispy duck, and potato crusted salmon. The dishes were all prepared very well. The fresh bread was quite good, served with harissa, etc. We very much enjoyed the nut tart served with vanilla sauce and very nice hazelnut gelato. Can’t wait to go again.”
“Very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. I was welcomed with kindness, smile and appreciation. Very good and professional service. Food prepared to my liking. Good drinks. Attractive bar. Delicious soufflé. I celebrated Birthday. It was nice and festive.”

“The dedicated staff at Pizzana deserves acclaim and appreciation. After a crazy night of delivery service fails, dropped drivers, unreachable Chow Now representatives, more delays, and remade orders, Kevan drove our order over themselves. It was a late Valentine dinner, not what we expected at all, but Pizzana made good on their end of the delivery and the food was great. The people at the restaurant were kind and gracious at every turn. Thank you Pizzana for being the best.”
“OMG This restaurant is a rare find!! The food, the service and the atmosphere are amazing! We had a shrimp wrap and chicken breast panini that were filled with so much more large shrimp and chicken breast than I’ve seen at any restaurant in LA! The baklava dessert was excellent. And the coffee was really delicious and served in unique coffee cups. The staff were super friendly and just the perfect amount of attentiveness. And the atmosphere was absolutely unique with greenery on the ceiling throughout with skylights interspersed. We will definitely make this a frequent restaurant stop!”
“First time here and we loved it. The throwback steakhouse vibe stays close to its roots and provides a really nice atmosphere. We were looking to go casual and had the Wagyu burger and it was phenomenal. Mix in great cocktails, friendly and efficient service and a strong dessert menu and this gets an easy 5 starts. As a staple in the valley for over 75 years, it shows they’re obviously doing a lot of things right. If you’re anywhere near The Valley Inn, do yourself a favor and get in there ASAP!”
“This place is absolutely amazing! I rarely write reviews, but I had to make an exception for this one. My son and I absolutely loved it here. Everything was perfect—the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience! The complimentary cucumber salad and miso soup were such a delightful touch. This is officially my go-to sushi spot from now on. Highly recommend it to everyone!”
“I never leave reviews, but as someone who loves sushi and has eaten at most of the restaurants and hole in the walls in the valley — this place is hands down at the top. The atmosphere isn’t fancy, more casual, but the happy hour deal and the quality of the food is solid. The staff couldn’t be nicer and more lovely. Highly recommend giving it a shot for a casual date night or if you’re craving some solo sushi time :)”
“First time eating Indian food. The meal was excellent! The service was excellent! We will be going back.”

“I stopped by this Taco Bell location today because I order food at a place next door. I parked at the little garage parking they have toward the back. I wanted to take advantage of the happy hour freeze so that's why I came here. When I walked inside, they were not busy at all. It is encouraged to order from the kiosk so that's what I tried to do but it was so slow and non responsive. I asked a worker who came to give food to someone else and he seem annoyed I asked. He saw how slow it was but after a while he just walked away when he got me to the menu screen.
I ordered the Baja blast with strawberry freeze and when I went to pay using credit card, it kept throwing an error message. So the lady who was checking in for work on the counter asked the same guy who tried to help me before to ring me up. He rang he up and then made my drink but the one he made was a strawberry freeze and not a Baja blast strawberry freeze. I didn't want to be that customer so I just took my drink and walked out. The strawberry freeze is still good but I just wanted to try the Baja blast strawberry freeze.”
“This is our go-to sushi restaurant. The food never disappoints. The service is very friendly.”

Takeout Restaurants
“There are so many sushi places in Studio City. This is just inside Sherman Oaks by one block, on Riverside, so it's a real neighborhood place. The food is great. Truly homemade. Everything is fantastic. The host, Ben, is stellar. Kind, attentive, and very helpful and knows the cuisine. A great place ... and our secret, okay?”
“NYC cheese slices are my jam, and we have an embarrassment of riches in Sherman Oaks. Within a mile of each other, there are three, count 'em three, authentic NY slice shops. My son and I visited all three of them on a self-guided cheese slice tour of Sherman Oaks. Pizza Wagon was stop three on the tour!
The atmosphere is good...NY decor on the walls in what feels like a truly neighborhood / not-chain space. The service was great too...the staff worked quickly and were abundantly friendly and helpful.
They do a good job with authentic style slices...the right amount of crisp on the crust and a good ratio of sauce versus cheese. The chew was good, though both the crust and sauce don't quite have the superior flavor profile of the nearby places.
It's definitely a good alternative to those, though, and miles ahead of the major chain pizzas in terms of NY style.”
“There should be a line around the block to get into this place. The braised pork belly fried rice is amazing. We ordered veggie rolls, shrimp rolls, and braised pork belly fried rice. All delicious. Very reasonable prices. There is a little something extra spice wise in the fried rice. I can't quite identify the spice, but it makes all the difference. It's possibly the best pork belly I've had from a restaurant”

“I had to fly all the way from Florida just to see what all the hype was about—and let me tell you, it was worth every second of that five-hour flight.
Coley’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s soul food for the heart and spirit. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warmth, culture, and a sense of belonging. The vibrant decor, music, and energy feel like a slice of Jamaica, right in L.A.
Candice and Neil are the heart behind it all. Their passion, hospitality, and authenticity shine through in every detail. You can feel the love they pour into this place—from the ki, chen to the conversation. They don’t just serve food—they serve legacy.
The soursop juice is smooth, fresh, and unforgettable. The food is pure Jamaican comfort—seasoned to perfection and made with real heart.
They’ve done it right since 1982, and the legacy is strong.
If you're ever near L.A., do yourself a favor and stop by Coley’s. Come hungry, leave full, and feel like family.
Much love and respect to Candice and Neil for keeping the culture alive and flavorful. 🇯🇲🔥”

“I love Kinza. It’s a cute but no pretension type of sushi spot! Their rolls come with 10 pieces (not 8) AND you can order half size rolls even for their specialty rolls which is INCREDIBLE. Very fresh, flavorful, lots of good combos, and service is excellent.
If you can’t find parking on the street, park in the alley behind the restaurant!”

“Walking into Sincerely Syria, you’re welcomed by the sight of two shawarma skewers rotating, perfectly cooked and ready to serve.
We tried the beef and chicken wraps, loaded generously with garlic sauce and pickles, with a side of crispy fries. The flavors were rich, the meat was tender and juicy, and the bread was perfectly crisp without making the sandwich oversized.
Each bite felt authentically Syrian, and we left thoroughly satisfied.”
“amazing cool fun and exciting experience”
“This place is really cool. My friend chose it, so I didn't know what to expect. Upon arrival, I noticed they have "any gender" restrooms, which was a nice touch.
I ordered the California Lounge, which was a massive burger! I added a side of "half-and-half," combining onion rings and french fries. Although the fries were a bit soggy for my taste, I still enjoyed every bite.
I also had a Mexican Coke on ice, though it's not pictured. Overall, everything was great. I appreciated the family-friendly atmosphere and the welcoming decor.”

“Service was great but appetizer and delivery of main course were to close. Table size is small for the dishes they use. Serving of food is great but if you are planning to have a table of two better skip the appetizer and go into the main meal. The size table can't handle drinks plates silverware main plates not food all together. Ask for a booth for a table of two”
“Had steak and lobster with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was delicious. Mel was our server and did a great job. It was my birthday and my grandson told the server. Next thing I know and Mel brought a dish with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and strawberries with a candle in it. Great restaurant! Really enjoyed our time there!”
