“Really good seating! Great pesto sandwich. Wonderful new chill coffee shop. Staff was eager to please. Once they iron out a few things (like having iced tea for non-coffee drinkers and hot days), they're gonna have lines out the door to get a table. I'm an NYC expat and I do my best work on my laptop at a coffee shop. Can't wait to come back and try the coffee!“
“First time trying this place out. A busy coffee shop with both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of people studying and working most likely while enjoying their drinks. I got the cold brew but didn't like it much, it was a bit too acidic for my taste. Will try other things next time I'm here. But I gotta mention it was the cheapest cold brew I ever bought, $4 for a 16oz ... they also sell baked goods such as scones and biscotti etc.... Service was friendly and fast. The ambiance is ok.“
“I absolutely love this neighborhood coffee shop.. I have become quite a coffee nut in the past 8 years and tortoni’s espresso doesn’t compare to other coffee shops. These guys really know their stuff. Their temps are always spot on and their hot lattes are so smooth, no need for flavors here! I’ve been a loyal regular customer for about 8 months now and cannot see myself finding anything better in the SFV.“
“The stars of the shop were the two gentlemen working the bar. They were so so kind, they greeted everyone who walked through with a huge smile on their faces and were kind and helpful if we asked questions. I came on a Sunday so I unfortunately couldn't see the little shop they're next to but, the coffee shop itself is still so cute with big windows & plenty of seating. We got some pastries. The savory chorizo-filled type pastry was so delicious! Their cold-brew is fantastic!! Drinks are not that sweet so if you're into sweet stuff, beware. My friend wished her latte was sweeter. I got a cold brew latte without sweetener and it was the best cold brew I've had in LA. The two gentlemen from earlier deserve a raise!!!“
“After an extensive internet search, I decided to go to this coffee shop, and I'm glad I did.The staff was friendly and helpful. I got a Chai with Almond milk and my sweetner was clove and cinnamon I believe and that elevated the entire taste. The cold brew I got for another person was also spot on. I'll return.Dietary restrictions: Milk options for non-dairy drinkers“
“I realized after reviewing Uoichiba that I still had not yet reviewed The Joint. How is this possible?! Fixing my mistake now. ?The fish here is really spectacular, & DAFG (Dry Aged Fish Guy) is legendary. He is doing amazing things with fish & it is clear he is a master of his craft. You can tell by the meticulous, beautiful shop & the deliciousness of all of his offerings. Some of the prices miiight be a tad higher than you are used to, especially if you only buy your fish at a typical grocery store - but I promise you, there is a reason & it is justified. A lot of time, skill & care has gone into these fish, & you will absolutely taste a difference.I really can not say enough nice things about this place. Everyone who works here is nice, helpful & knowledgeable. if you don't know what you want, or what amount you need, they can help! Try any of the dry aged fish, you can't go wrong. The fresh stuff is great too, & I also really love the smoked scallops & salmon belly. If you love The Joint, be sure to go give some love to Uoichiba as well! ❤️“
“If you're looking for fantastic & delicious breakfast sandwiches in the LA valley area, look no further. I absolutely love this place. They have outstanding quality for the price in Los Angeles, and it's a wonderful way to support small up and coming businesses. The owners are really kind & generous people. The owner gave me a free donut on my first trip there! Never had a bad experience here, and the quality is TOP notch. I strongly suggest it for breakfast / lunch trips on the go. 10/10.“
“I am so happy I found this place!! This was one of my first times in Sherman Oaks, and I just wanted to find something to eat that would make me feel good and not run down when I’m on the go, so I’m stoked I found Harvest Bar. I’m not vegan but I love places that can make even a meat eater like myself love eating things like jackfruit nachos. The smoothie was delicious too and my friend got an acai bowl that was super fresh. Definitely gonna make this a go to spot when I’m over that way“
“Miles is a huge asset to Nespresso, not only did he know, and have a deep education for the coffee beans, but he also provide an specific attention to detail and passion towards the company was refreshing. Listening to him talk about the sustainability efforts and how they are offering jobs to women was so inspiring. He deserves to be acknowledged and recognized for his energy and bright spirit. He made my day brighter. So glad I met him and thank you for having employees like him leading the team. I’ll certainly be back!“
“Been wanting to try this place for a while now and i finally got the chance to. They have some vegan options such as the plain churros, Oreo and guava stuffed churro, drinks replaced with almond or soy milk but add $1, vegan ice cream scoop, and vegan milkshake. We had the plain churros and the Oreo stuffed churros. They were nice and crispy. Really pricey though. Staff were nice. Saw people just hanging out and had their laptops to work here. Noise level was average. Parking is a challenge. I found parking in a residential area in the back and walked. I didn't see a bathroom.“
“One popular spot known for its delicious borekas in Los Angeles is "Borekas Sephardic Pastries" in Sherman Oaks. They offer a variety of flavors and are well-regarded by locals and visitors alike. It's worth giving them a try if you're in the area!“
