“This is my favorite restaurant in Sierra Madre! Hands down! Love the new items on their menu! Last night we had the crispy brussel sprouts, garlic spicy edamame, avocado roll with sesame seeds, garlic noodles, steak fried rice and pineapple burger! Everything was absolutely delicious! And cant forget about the pineapple pomegranate spicy margarita as well! Love love this place! And the staff is amazing as well“

“First time and IMPRESSED! I am not vegan, but I looooveee fries, orange chicken, everything pretty much that is sold here and wanted to try! Service -Staff was really friendly and kind. We actually got to sit in at the one table they had so felt a bit intimate at first, but relaxed our ways in. Staff was friendly, prompt, great! Ambiance- -It has a comfortable, family vibe to it. I love it : ) Food- -Side of fries is seasoned with something I can't quite put my finger on BUT it does remind me of seasoning in other asian type chips! It was quite addicting to me but not the usual spice/savory that I'm used to -Orange chicken bowl: I thought it was delicious! Was it EXACTLY like real chicken? No, but it still had texture to it even while being cauliflower and so I loved that I got to eat something so tasty and textured but also getting some veggies along with it (heh heh). “Ample parking and great Ugyhur food. We tried a variety of dishes and they came out fresh and with generous portions. We tried their big plate chicken which was tasty, the laghman was totally worth the visit as well. The manta was made fresh and delicious. “This place is amazing. My friend made reservations for us about a month in advance. We were seated right away. We had the options of either seafood or beef menu. We choose the beef menu. This is my first dining experience so I was looking forward to everything. This was a unique 12 course experience and the staff here did an amazing job. Every item that came out was very good. “Came here on a whim while running errands in the area. The portions here are HUGE. I ordered three specialty rolls - tempura Cali, hungry man, and the spider roll. The server said “It’s a lot of food, are you sure?” And I was like “Pffft. Challenge accepted. I haven’t eaten today.”DUDE. She was not kidding! “Excellent food, great staff and vibe. A busy place for good reason. We were in a motel close by for a few days during some home improvements. Liked it so much we did take-out twice. The string beans were the best I've ever had. Even my husband's often dull cashew chicken was noteworthy. All cooked fresh and fast. 100% recommended. “Star Leaf is a new Asian (Thai) fusion restaurant in Pasadena, California. The restaurant is nicely design with comfortable seating. I visited them on a Thursday evening. The hostess was friendly. Tonia, the waitress had a warm smile and very attentive. I started with a Lychee Martini which was ok. The cocktail Kamata Club Blue had a very nice presentation. The Wild Salmon in Thai Vinaigrette was a refreshing appetizer. I also had the Thai Royal Curry with Soft Shell Crabs and Madame Noi’s Pork Collar. For dessert, I finished with Tropical Panna Cotta Coconut Bowl. I enjoyed the dinner. I have one more good restaurant on my dining list.“

“I love the vibes of this place! There’s a paper menu for you to check off what you like and your food will come with side dishes such as steamed egg and kimchi. The skewers come raw and it will slowly cook over the grill. You will also have a tray and you have the option to dip your meats in hot sauce, regular cumin or spiced cumin. Parking can be found in the back and you can also enter the restaurant through the back.“

“One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. Though it's a little bit spicy, the proteins are pretty good with the fantastic taste. The staff told me that their boss asked them to add enough food to ensure customers' satisfaction. What a great experience of dining here. Attention to adjust the spicy level for any one of the pots.“

They also work with high quality materials.We began a procedure at the beginning of Covid, but was paused due to the pandemic. Although they already collected funds, they did not leave me high and dry. “I've been to this place several times, and I love their Thai curry! If this place gets crowded, it does get a bit hectic, but that's just how good they are. Price range for each person could average between $15-20 since most of their items are around that price.Parking is near the back on the main street in a garage, but I would be careful if you try to leave your car to discover the area since they do close it. If you're not able to find parking in the garage, which has happened to me several times, parking on the street can be a bit difficult if you want to park close to the restaurant. Most times, I just park on the residential area so I can walk to my car after getting full.“

Roti Canai fresh made that is tasty but a bit oily. Taste of Hometown fried rice noodles is light which I like. They're not big portions. We added a Kaya Toast with butter. When this order arrived, the waiter recommended Taro French Toast that they smashed the taro and mix with condensed milk then spread on toasted bread. I will try next time. The price of breakfast menu is reasonable.? Support small local restaurant.“

“Ordered through Door Dash and ordered the Bento Box of Spicy Pork: The box comes with a good amount of tempura, mainly vegetables (squash and sweet potato) and one shrimp. The tail is hiding in there so I spit it out. lol. The batter is like a pancake mix and it was sweet to me. I thought it was delicious. The dipping sauce for the tempura was light and seemed lemony. The tomato salad with thousand island dressing was fresh and basic. The 4 California rolls were also fresh and the cucumber was crunchy good. Spicy pork was flavorful and not spicy at all. Bed of rice is underneath the meat. The beef rib plate was flavorful! But the meat was not too tender where it "melts" in your mouth. It was like a medium type of tough. The signature beef noodle isn't quite like traditional beef noodle soups I've had but it's pretty hearty which I like. There's a lot more green onions and cilantro. Spicy beef noodle soup has a little bit of a kick but good flavor! Service was attentive even though they were closing soon.LOCATION:- Inside Santa Anita mall next to Din Tai Fung. It's kind of like open air seating with a good amount of tables that could comfortably fit 2-4 people. PARKING: - Santa Anita mall parking so usually isn't an issue - can park near Nordstrom if you don't want to walk too far. WAIT: - No wait for a table for 3 on a Tuesday around 8 pm. The food also came out pretty fast.“

Even though it was made for an office of 35 people, it did not lose its individual flavors, freshness, or texture one bit! Wasn't sure how the office folks would like Taiwanese cuisine as our office is very diverse, but good food is universal and Mr. Kuso is a hit.
