“Even though Simi Valley has not more than a handful of Indian restaurants, there are representatives in this class that deserve a visit. One of these eateries is Indian Haweli, on Los Angeles Avenue. It maybe the only Indian cuisine location that has a lunch buffet ($14.99) in Simi. The dining area is small, but well appointed, with simple decor. There was one staff member that was maintaining the area and keeping the food well stocked. That should not be a deterrent. Service was friendly, informative and professional. If anything, some of the lunch buffet items were drying out. So additional assembly of these dishes with more liquid and/or keeping them covered could change the landscape and optics. See my pictures for the offerings. What stood out for me was the two appetizers (Aloo Tikki and Samosas), the latter having a different flavor. There are several selections of chicken and vegetables. Accompaniments are Naan, Rice, Salad, Raita, Chutneys (both Mint and tamarind), pappar and Indian desserts (that include Gulab Jamoo). Wine and beer is also available.“
“I have never been eat Indian kitchen before ,but when I tried this restaurant it conquered my heart. There is good service, everybody is very friendly, the design is very original. I ordered food to go and when I got home food steel hot , packaging is very well.“
“Fresh, savory, delicious food served with grace and kindness - fabulous. The atmosphere is simply lovely. The House Combination meal was served steaming hot altogether. This is some of the best Indian cuisine I've had in this area. You must try it!“
“Another best location for Indian food. Thousand Oaks area. If you are in the area, forget about all the restaurants nearby and try this Indian cuisine. The best collections of chicken with their special sauces. Definitely try their bomb chicken and butter chicken for kids, and their Tikka is on a different level. For appetizers, try their samoosas. Hope you like it. The service was very good as well.“
“If I could give 6 stars I would!! The food, service, and ambiance was exceptional! My family and I felt so welcomed the second we walked in. Everything I tried was phenomenal but my favorite would have to be the butter chicken, garlic naan, and mango lassi. Zohir, the owner, also made time to talk to us and he was such a joy. He checked up on us multiple times to ensure we were having a great meal (which we did)!! This was by far the best service I have ever gotten. If you live nearby or just passing through, please try Anarbagh you won't regret it!“
“Fantastic, friendly service and delicious food. Ali had the old-school attentiveness few waiters display these days. My husband and I love the food. It's the only I diam food we've found as good as the Indian food in London. Whether you get take-out or dine in, it is a great dining experience!“
“This maximalist Indian bar and grill offers stimulation with a capital S. There is a giant flatscreen TV on a wall showing 90s Bollywood hit songs and a playful interior dotted with a straight-from-Punjab tumbi and Jago chhajj that reminds me of a traditional Indian pub in Southall. Plus, the food is just fun. Channa bhatura, pani puri, and bhel puri are street food options in India, but this is the first north-of-the-valley joint that actually serves them up in traditional Punjabi style. Expect all the usual favourites like dal makhani, curries, and doughy, butter-brushed naan cooked exceedingly well. A myriad of lamb options for the finicky carnivores. And loads of standout, traditionally seasoned vegan options for dedicated Angelenos. Tandoori paneer are beautifully layered with a light tandoori masala vs. a typically heavier yoghurt marinade, making it a light snack to enjoy before dinner. And our favorite is a bountiful veg biriyani--colourful veggies, brimming with saffron, fluffy rice, and a touch of herbaceous spices. Definitely add on an order of the homemade gulab jamun, which melts in your mouth with its rich and decadent texture crafted to perfection. Add in impeccable service, fair prices, and inventive dishes from the husband/wife owners and you have an elevated Indian eatery you'll want to go to often as an escape from the mediocrity of those Indian valley options.“
“A really well executed Indian grocery store & restaurant combination. I came here for a traditional North Indian/Punjabi meal, and I left as happy as could be.The flavors were on point, the ingredients were fresh, and the value stood out as being very reasonable.I look forward to returning here whenever I’m in town, as it’s close to home cooking.“
“My wife and kids love this place. They took me today and I was absolutely blown away. Everything was superb. The garlic Naan was 100/100. The Chicken Tikka appetizer was incredible. The Chicken in the butter-based sauce with rice on the side was another amazing dish. The server was the kindest, most respectful gentleman. Very attentive. But the food is the star. Absolutely delicious. Will be back again many, many times. huge new fan.“
“Went here with my sister and mother who said they never tried Indian food before. I’ve been to a couple of other places before and told them it would be my treat to try it. I thought this food was very tasty. We split between appetizers of samosas, chicken tikka masala etc. I enjoyed it, especially their garlic naan bread. Wonderful service too!“
