“Fun time at kinkan! We had the where are we going tasting menu which was cool to experience and learn anout each dish and how the chef came up with it. The head chef was not in town that day so the sous was serving us. The best dishes were the ama ebi, tuna tartare, and ceviche! All of the staff was very kind tooUnfortunately one of the items was substituted with bolognese which was disappointing (supposed to be uni pasta). And the fish and chips (amaida, matsutake) and crab fried rice was not impressive for this price point. I think it was great experience but food didn’t feel worth it in the end so I would not go back a second time.Parking: Small parking lot, handful of spaces“
“I ordered a chicken pad Thai and a Thai tea and my food was great! The person serving us was sweet and the ambiance is cute it felt like being a a studio set for a show from the 90s I think it's the wood paneling ? Either way if you're around the silver lake echo park area and are looking for Thai food with parking then I'd definitely check this place out !“
“Food is good. I ordered a few of the different lunch specials. Added side of egg rolls. Everything was delicious and healthy. Nice clean dining area and love that they wheel a cart next to your table so you can help yourself to condiments, etc. Nice neighborhood/ family run business.“
“Best Thai food I've ever had. Their burgers are great, too. Best service ever! I highly recommend the Angry Chicken, Pad Kee Mao, and Beyond Burger.Update: This place just keeps getting better. They did such an amazing job helping cater a Harry Potter Party. Thanks so much!!!“
“My beef noodle spot for a couple of years now. I have to visit once a week if possible and I'm in Long Beach and have yet to find a better place in sevetal years! Highly recommended and their other food is amazing as well. I just can't get over how good the soup is so that's what I get every time now. It might seem like a strange location but don't let that stop you and you can thank me later. Enjoy“
“Really good food, got the chicken teriyaki and my husband got the half bbq chicken & half beef combo! It was a lot of food and so good! Their drinks are so cheap and yummy I got the Thai tea boba! Service is amazing they are so sweet and nice! Can't wait to come back.“
“We love coming to this place for a Thai cuisine! I would say the service rates three out of five since they are so busy, and take quite a while to get you seated. However it's doesn't come as a surprise, the food is amazing. Typically always pair my curry or the pad sew with one of there Thai iced tea. Overall, this is the best Thai spot in Rosemead area. Atmosphere is cozy but definitely on the loud side your looking for a romantic spot this wouldn't be it. You“
“Omg, everything was good! One of the best vegan orange chicken and pineapple fried rice, delicious dumplings and veggie broth soup. The unsweetened Arnold Palmer drink was so refreshing. Good prices and nice area, I will come back.Vegetarian options: Really good quality vegetarian Thai“
“Wonderful! Highly recommend this restaurant. The orange chicken, jasmine rice and spinach was amazing and the chicken was tasty and tender. We also ordered the milk fried chicken, rice noodles, and power greens which was equally amazing. The staff were very nice and attentive.“
“Holy Basil is instant comfort that teleports you home. The dishes are flawlessly executed and the flavors are consistently on point. The vibe of this hidden gem reminds you of your family’s kitchen and I feel like a kid again full of excitement from the escaping aromas. I lean heavy into firing the menu family style and always look forward to memorable meals shared. Their take out withstands LA traffic to the far away land of Santa Monica. Service is hands down the friendliest in town.“
“A little pricey for what you get. Dude at the cashier is not friendly what so ever. After I paid for my to go order, the receipt printed out and he was standing there waiting for me to add a tip. Personally, if you want a tip, be polite and friendly. And I believe tips should be given if the service is great or if someone eats in and they have to clean up after them. Not just because.. again, I would have tipped if he was polite even though I’m taking it to goParking: Not much to talk about“
“Ordered takeout from Beau Thai today and it was sooo good! They put my Thai Tea in a little to-go bag for the cup making it sooo easy to carry! I got pad thai and it came with two sauces, one tasted like sweet and sour and the other was chili sauce. I personally liked the sweet and sour one with the pad thai, I thought they paired really nicely! The chili sauce is really good on its own though. Definitely looking forward to trying more dishes! The inside was soooo cute as well! I think it would be such a cute date night place “
“We came on a Sunday, it is somewhat busy. The location has a few small Thai stands. We ordered the mango sticky rice coconut cakes and green onion coconut cakes. They are $10 ( each has around 8 pieces ).The coconut cakes are sweet , creamy and flavorful, they made it right in front of you so they come out warm. The mango is sweet and not sour so we are satisfied. Remember to bring cash cause they accept cash & zelle. After they take your order, they give you a ticket and they make your food. You just need to bring that ticket to get your food. The wait is around 25 minutes for the food, and there are 3 long tables next to the stand so you can eat there. We walk around the Thai grocery store across the coconut cake stand when waiting for food.It is a nice place to experience some Thai coconut cakes! Would recommend this place.“
“This is by far the best Thai restaurant in the Greater Los Angeles area. The presentation of the food is always perfect, they use the freshest ingredients, and the staff is great. We can order the same dish every time & it always tastes amazing. We will literally order too much food just so we can have left overs... can't get enough of Yum Zaap!“
“Always a quick stop for high quality food for a cheap price. Very friendly service and delicious and affordable options. A great choice for lunch or dinner on any night. My go-to is chicken teriyaki but Korean BBQ beef short ribs and Thai BBQ chicken are great options too.“
“A very small Thai restaurant but great food. There isn't a very big parking lot in the back but you can find parking nearby on the streets. There also isn't many tables inside so that is why the wait times get so long. Luckily, we came at a good time and didn't have to wait. The employees are friendly and have good service too.We ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, chicken satay, khao soi. The satay was okay but I really liked the pad thai and pad see ew. However, the portions are a bit on the smaller side for the price. One dish is barely enough for one person. But I guess the size is good for trying different dishes with friends.“
“Fabulous restaurant and loved sitting at the kitchen counter watching all the action. The food was spectacular and watching the efficiency on how the Chef directed everyone was amazing. Having worked in the industry for 15 years and personally having managed restaurants, I was still blown away.“
“The food is delicious!! They have both burmese food and hot pot / dry pot hot. I tried the burmese food and dry hot pot and it was excellent! The restaurant is a passion project of the owner and it really shows, he just wants people to be able to have delicious burmese food, and he is proud of his heritage. all around awesome!“
“So damn good. Great after a walk around the Silverlake reservoir. We were able to walk in and get a table in their backyard seating without any reservation on a Thursday evening.Food was delicious although could be a bit spicier, loved the atmosphere out back.“
“Excellent food! A wonderful family run restaurant. My whole family goes crazy for their crab Rangoon and shrimp and veggie tempura. The golden shrimp dumpling curry is also amazing. They just expanded the menu, very excited to try more dishes. Have never been disappointed, and very friendly staff and owners!Vegetarian options: Lots of dishes can be made with tofu“
“My bf and I live 2 blocks away and Thaiger is our new favorite neighborhood Thai spot! We've now eaten here 4 times and each time they have delicious food & great attentive service. The prices are a steal as well! I definitely recommend.“
“We stopped by for a quick dinner on our first day in east LA. We had the orange chicken, kung Pao combination, jasmine and brown rice with iced green tea. The portions were large, food was delicious, hot, and the service friendly. It was a great start to the week.“
“Absolutely loved Oba! Came for my daughter's birthday and the service was amazing, the food was fresh and delicious, and everyone that works there is so nice and kind! My favorite dishes were the chirashi bowl, jalapeño yellowtail, garlic noodles, sashimi plate, shrimp tempura and red curry! It's so great to be able to pick from a Japanese and Thai menu! Will definitely be back and highly recommend!!“
“Hello! Well being that I have gone to Thailand, I think my review will be valid. First things first is the welcome value 5 stars. The most sincere and pleasant staff. Service time above average. Plating was very visually appealing. Had the lunch special eggplant. Was cooked to my perfection. Overall what was most important was the smiles. That is what made the experience a full star rating.“
“Amazing options! I especially love the peanut satay and curries. There’s good variety on the menu if folks are craving different things. Very casual on the inside but great service and great for takeout as well.Dietary restrictions: All vegan, baby! I’m not gluten-free but there are plenty of options available as well from what I can see.“
“I really like this place. When I want Thai. I try to hold off until I can come here. Good service. Good food. I like spicy food but I can't handle it, and their mild level is just enough spiciness so I can still enjoy the food but still feel like I need a good amount of water! My toddler likes their food and that's a high bar. She'll happily eat their noodles, rice, and soup. The little restaurant was full when I stopped by today. I happen to catch a happy hour menu. For about $12 you get soup, salad, a wonton and egg roll and the entree from their options.Vegetarian options: Most dishes have a vegetarian alternative.Kid-friendliness: It is a small restaurant. But they will accommodate. Today I showed up with a stroller and a toddler. They had high chairs. They offered us plastic utensils for the kid. And we just overall nice about my kids.“
“I have been coming here often for the past three months because of how good the food is. The food in the pictures are the Pad Kee Mao, Thai fried rice, Chili & Lemon shrimp saap, and the Chili & Lemon chicken wing saap. The other dishes that are also very delicious are the Pad see ew, BBQ pork fried rice, teriyaki chicken plate and the Tom yum seafood soup. The flavor is great and the price is right. Highly recommend if you are in the area and would like some delicious food!!!Parking: Very limited but you can find street parking if you don’t mind walking“
“Excellent vegan food. I got the vegan pho, which was HUGE. Normally vegan pho comes with more vegetable in it and this one comes with only spinach, so I decided to order a side of steamed broccoli. But when the soup came, I was shocked at how big the portion was. To be honest I was starving and even then I could have not ordered the broccoli and been fine. There was plenty of spinach in the phon and it was packed full of flavor. The waitress was very friendly and the place was clean. Parking was ok, I ended up parking on the residential street to the left of the restaurant because the lot seemed too packed directly in front of the restaurant.Vegetarian options: EverythingDietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free“
“When we walked we got off to a rough start when it took a little while to be seated. There are signs that ask patrons to be patient, which sets up your expectations. The ladies working there are so cute and very welcoming. They hustled and were kind and polite. We ordered Pad Si Ewe and Satay and both were flavorful and delicious. We also ordered mango with sticky rice, which came with a huge portion. I have no words on how good the food was! Great place would go again.“
“There’s something about Thai food where even when you don’t know what you want to eat, Thai food will always hit the spot, and so will Daisy Mint. I usually get the drunken noodle with shrimp, green curry with veggies, and the crying tiger.“
“Upon stumbling upon this charming little hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the owner and promptly seated. After perusing the menu, we decided to start our culinary adventure with the Crispy Rolls priced at $11. These fried spring rolls filled with glass noodles, cabbage, carrots, and taro, served with a delightful sweet and sour sauce, were a vegan delight. For our main courses, we indulged in the flavorful Pat Thai priced at $15, featuring rice noodles with beef, eggs, bean curd, sweet radish, bean sprouts, and green onions, all topped with roasted peanuts. Our second entrée was the Suji Dry priced at $17, a generous portion of glass noodles stir-fried with chicken, garlic, celery, carrots, Napa cabbage, and onions, tossed in a savory Japanese Sukiyaki sauce. The portion sizes were surprisingly large, easily satisfying two people per plate and proving to be great value for the price. The restaurant exuded a cozy, homely ambiance that instantly put us at ease. The welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the soothing background music, enhanced our dining experience. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be shared with others seeking a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings in the future.Vegetarian options: Most of the dishes if not all can be eaten without and meat.Parking: There are paid parking or free parking less than block away.“
“Singkawang is one of my go-to authentic Indonesian restaurant that I frequent whenever I'm in the area. My favorite dishes are the Sambal Sticky Beans and Shrimp, as well as the Curry Laksa, both are spicy and flavorful. Nasi Padang and Red Curry is just average.“
“"Hidden gem" definitely describes Eden Thai. It's an unassuming little restaurant, but absolutely worth supporting. The food is great for the price (the pineapple fried rice is my personal favorite), and they have free delivery available. The owners are very sweet as well. Now that the pandemic is over, this place deserves a good update in interior decor to really get people to come in and stay for indoor dining!“
“Every time that I try a new Thai restaurant, I ask for a Pad Thai. The rationale is that if that staple of Thai cuisine is not well prepared, there is little else to look for in that place. Interestingly, the menu showed the dish prominently, calling it their signature dish. And, boy, they delivered! The flavor was so well balanced, and the noodles were rightly cooked, and with the right moisture, not the mess of sticky overcooked noodles you get some times. The accompanying Chinese eggplant was well prepared, too. 10/10.The same goes for the "fish" dish my wife had. Finally, the mango with sticky rice was sublime. The service was excellent. The seating is ok though.Vegetarian options: This is a vegan place“
“An intimate Thai eatery with nice date ambiance and elevated prices to match. Staff was friendly but not very attentive. Parking can be a bit hard to find on the street so your best bet is at the lots/garages nearby when it gets busy. Pretty small restaurant, could see there being a wait on the weekends. We came later on a Thursday night. Tried the Pearl summer roll, Thai fried rice, and green curry. The summer (spring?) rolls were incredibly overpriced, just a bunch of cheap salad ingredients wrapped in rice paper with (way too sweet) peanut sauce and mustard (???) on the side. Definitely skip! Thai fried rice was good but too sweet for my taste, I much prefer Nine & Nine's version (close by & cheaper). The green curry, though, was one of the best I've had in LA so far. I highly recommend. Really creamy and well flavored, with tender bamboo shoots, chicken, and veggies. And a nice spicy kick to finish! Would come back to try more of the curries.“
“I pulled into the place while driving around looking for a place to eat, the service was great, the place was clean and very cute ambiance! The food was very tasty, and we didn't feel rushed at all to leave although we left at closing time“
“House of Boba is a good go to place but there are a few things that can be better. For example I just ordered buffalo fries and they took a long time. The food is kinda worth the wait because the food is amazing and the boba is really good. I recommend getting the chili cheese fries they are the best in my opinion. The best boba they make in my opinion is Thai tea it is so good I can't get enough! I just went and this never happened the time I've been there but the lid wasn't closed right so it spilled. The food was very good I loved it!“
“What can you say? It was such a fun time, service was quick and knowledgeable. Food came out fast and was SOO GOOD, im still thinking about it. Definitely get the crispy rice dish (i forgot the name). Had the special for Lunar New Year. I wish the bathrooms were a bit cleaner but thats life. If i was closer id go back today!“
“Quaint place with Thai decor and good food. First time trying and their flavors are nice. I ordered a yellow curry. Not overly sweet and mild spicy was just right. Nice hot egg roll and salad with it, along with rice. I liked their tofu soup as well. Simple. Rice soup was also pretty tasty and this place has other dishes that are not the typical Thai menu items that people usually know about. The owner was nice and atmosphere too.“
“This Thai spot is phenomenal. The owner cooks food that is authentic, plated beautifully, and unapologetically flavorful. Each bite is a time travel bomb that takes me back to the time I was gorging myself at street food vendor stalls in Bangkok. The location is within an office space area used for AA and community meetings. It comes across humble and the dining area is separate from the actual community building space. The tables are clean and extremely well kept. The owner clearly pays attention to detail when it comes to maintaining her dining area and silverware/cutlery. The owner herself is very accommodating and welcoming. She takes the time to answer questions about the menu and offers adjustments to spice levels if needed. She also cooks and serves all the food herself with the help of one other individual in the back kitchen, so patience is key but completely worth the time investment. The food was so outrageously delicious I didn't have time to take more pics the first time I went. It was so good in fact, I came back immediately the next day to try the crab fried rice pictured below. The serving sizes are generous and the spice and flavor is second to none. I'm so impressed with how high quality all the dishes are and everything tastes so impeccably fresh. Crab fried rice - the crab meat is legitimately fresh and generously portioned. The rice is well seasoned and the veggies mixed in with the egg are a perfect compliment to the crab. I really enjoyed this dish and it comes with a side of spicy seasoning sauce you can add to kick up the heat a notch. Crying Tiger - not pictured below, but man what a stand out dish. The flavor of the rib eye pieces are so well balanced and the dipping sauce for the meat is so distinct it really adds depth to the rice and salad accompaniments. I really enjoyed the dressing on the salad as well, and the amount again did not disappoint. I have nothing but overall praise to give this place and I know I will be frequenting this spot often for the foreseeable future.“
“This is a favorite. We go as often as we can. We’ve lived very close or nearby and just stumbled on it about 10 years ago and fell in love. Great clean healthy food and restaurant. The owners are wonderful. Friendly courteous and it’s a must if you like Thai food. We’ve dined as well as takeout both are great.Parking: Decent size lot with for a mini mall and there are always plenty available.“
“I really like this place alot great service and Nice chef. I order fried rice and the amount they give me is fit the price they asking you. Taste really good you can tell they fried it with sauce and make sure seasoning is not too much to where over do it. I recommend if any of you guy looking for quick stop for Thai food this is the place for you.“
“We’ve eaten Thai all over the world and this place is amazing. Super authentic. Vegan options, particularly the soy chicken satay, is out of this world. Also super convenient, free garage parking at rear entrance.Vegetarian options: Can make non-vegetarian dishes vegetarian.“
“Food was soooooo good (it came out hot and fresh, with great portion and lots of protein veggies) and everyone was very kind and nice. I couldn’t leave without leaving a review!!! Please please order the shrimp fried rice and Pad kee mow!!“
“So far I've had the panang curry, 524 combo noodles, and egg fried rice, and they're all bomb as hell. Big servings, an order of something will be enough food for a meal + a bit of leftover. Also they have an oat milk thai tea that I'd never had anywhere else before, love it.Support local businesses!“
“The food was exceptional! What really topped off our experience was the ambiance and the presentation in which the food was served. The good energy started as we were greeted at the door and continued through the whole visit. My wife and I got the Siam beach-club egg rolls as a starter and were served our entrees shortly after. One of the biggest things I notice when going out that makes or breaks my experience is the attentiveness of our server. 5/5 stars in that department! My wife dropped a knife, and she was over with a replacement as it hit the ground.I had the Malay Captains curry chicken (pictured below)My wife had the banana leaf chicken.Again, the presentation was outstanding, I definitely let out a few "whoa's" as the food was delivered. The owner was present as well and came by twice to ensure our satisfaction with our food and experience. We are coming back soon!Dietary restrictions: I was asked as we were seated if we had any dietary restrictionsParking: Underground garage and plenty of nearby street parking“
“All authentic whole in the wall with amazing food and service. I highly recommend!Papaya a salad is great, the Mint Leaf chicken is delicious, the curries are flavorful and pad Thai is yummy. Huge portions, reasonable, price and a foodies who loves thai foods favorite in arcadia and surrounding towns.“
“Why have I waited so long to try this place? We ordered tofu and broccoli off their lunch special as well as chicken pad see ew. The lunch special comes with vegetable soup but they brought out an extra one which was so generous and kind. The soup doesn’t look all that appetizing at first but wow does it make up just glorious savory, garlicky flavor. Both entrees were excellent, seasoned just right. The entree size pad see ew was enough for us to share. Looking forward to going back and trying more dishes!“
“High quality Thai food, consistently amazing, and the family is so kind. My fav! Get the the red curry or the special pad thai! Though all of it is great! I have done dine in and take out.Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten and dairy allergy and they suggest options when needed:)“
“Ordered the chicken pad thai lunch special. It comes with spring roll, rice and salad. Pretty weird, i thought, but okay. The salad was so nice. It's dressed with peanut-y salad and if i gotta eat salad for a whole month straight then this is the salad i'm looking for. Spring roll was fried to perfect crisp, but i'm not a fan of it's filling. It's some gooey batter or vegetable something? The pad thai is very nice. It's nutty and somehow tastes smoky, and kinda sweet. At first i thought this is sweeter than most thai places, but once i eat it with some rice, it all makes sense. They go very, very well together. The surprise to my tastebuds is kinda similar to when i found that mac & cheese goes very well with the sweetness of kalbi ribs. Portion is quite reflected by the price point; not generous, but you get your money's worth. The only weird thing is that they give you the bare minimum amount of condiments: just a tiny cup of chili sauce and a sachet of soy sauce. Even when i asked for a little bit of thai chillies on the side, they 'forgot' about it and after i inquire more finally they gave me a super tiny cup of chopped chilli in fish sauce and insisted that "this is the only thing we have."“
