“Easily the best wine list in Alhambra and possibly the SGV and Pasadena area. If you're looking for a curated wine list with excellent European and American options served alongside a stacked food menu this is your spot. It's not cheap but the quality of the food and service is well worth the price. We've needed elevated dining in Alhambra for years and we finally have it with Yang's.“
“A David Chang restaurant in LA. I've been to his Momofuku restaurant in NYC and loved it so I naturally had to try Majordomo. You have to plan ahead to reserve the short rib special and it is amazing. They cut it tableside and serve it lettuce, kitchen, and radishes. Such a good balance of flavors but the prime rib by itself is very flavorful and smoky. The Bing is also a must with the cultured butter and honey. This is seriously addictive. We also had the mussels with the crispy rice which was also delicious.Overall, the vibe of the restaurants was great and the service was excellent. Highly recommend.“
“I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“
“If you want good Filipino food from a family owned cozy staple in Filipino town then this is the place to go! Came by here during a visit to LA and it was recommended by some friends who live in the neighborhood and I was not disappointed at all. Here are some takeaways:EnvironmentThis is a small cozy restaurant that has a family style vibe to it. A great welcoming energy, we felt right at home. We stopped around midday during the week so it wasn't a lot of people there. Overall it was relaxing and warm - great for lunch with friends or if you're alone and want to grab a bite to eat.ServiceOur server happened to also be the daughter of the owners. She was great and was happy to share some of the history of the restaurant with me. She was very helpful with telling us about the food and giving us recommendations. Great service!Food and drinksWe had a little bit of everything - and all of it was great! Here's a run down of everything we had:MAMA LEAH'S COCONUT BEEF ADOBOANN'S CORNBREAD BIBINGKASTEAMED WHITE RICENOEL'S SMOKED GOUDA MACSAN PABLO PULLED PORKEverything was delicious. The coconut beef (amazing!) was great with the steamed white rice, the mac and cheese was tasty, the pulled pork had a lot of flavor and the cornbread was warm and sweet, but not too sweet. Again - all the food was great.OverallLovely family owned restaurant. So glad that we stopped by here. If i'm ever in LA again this will definitely be a place I'll visit again. Great food with a great story.“
“This place is a 10/10 for sure! I can honestly respect the honesty from the owner as he did let us know before hand it would take an hour for the food to be ready. Totally worth the wait!!!! The food was made fresh to order and had so much flavor. I mean the shrimp plate was so delicious, everything we purchased was so delicious. Definitely going back again and trying different items.“
“We really liked the food! Both got noodles, one street noodle with chicken and one pad see ew with chicken. Prices are super reasonable and the food tastes good, especially compared to some of the other options in the area. Excited to try more of their food. Chill music and good service. Nice casual option.“
“Delicious evening. Many extra courses in the tasting menu, lots of extra black truffles on many dishes. Both of the servers were super knowledgeable and friendly. The table next to us was a loud couple with a dude on his phone a lot and that was the single negative part of our evening. An amazing birthday experience. Thanks, guys!“

Beef Short Ribs Stand Out. Overall , It Was A Very Good Food & Enjoyable Experience.“
“I recently took my lunch break at Guzzu Bento-ya, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. I opted for their Hayashi Rice, a flavorful twist on Japanese beef stew, and it instantly became my new favorite comfort food, especially in the chilly weather. The braised tender beef, onions, and mushrooms melded together perfectly, creating a hearty and satisfying meal. The space was cozy and perfect to do some work. I love how they have anime playing on the projector.Beyond their renowned bento boxes, Guzzu Bento-ya impressed me with their new salads and stews, each bursting with flavor. The staff was incredibly accommodating, offering spot-on recommendations that enhanced my dining experience. Whether you're craving a classic bento box or eager to explore their latest offerings, Guzzu Bento-ya is sure to exceed your expectations. Highly recommended!5/5“
“First off the portions are hefty and the presentation makes the entrees really appealing. Then comes the best part, you actually get to eat it. We've had Laotian food before as there are excellent ones in the SFV, but hands down this has to be the best by far. So far we've tried grilled beef plate w/ a side of papaya salad paired w/ chicken and sausage ala carte (instead of the plate) and they were all in scrumptious. The saucesParking: It is located in a multi use apartment above/commercial businesses below. So the parking is actually where the tenants also park which leaves plenty of spaces for the restaurant and it's free. No ticket and validation required.“
“I decided to try this place out since a friend recommended it while I was in Little Tokyo. I honestly didn’t have any expectations for an udon place because I’ve had udon at the Marugame Udon chain and expected something similar. Let me tell you that this place elevates their udon to the next level. The mentai udon was easily one of my favorite meals during my trip to LA. The sauce was creamy, savory, and sweet with the perfect balance. The umami from the mentai and shrimp complements the sauce so well. It wasn’t too rich and was just right. I slurped up all of the sauce it was that good. Highly recommend and would come back. Service was also very attentive and kind.“
“I dont want to be too critical - but to me this place was just ok.. i mean props on elevating , and putting a twist to Fil dishes. - but it was underwhelming, atleast for me. Ive had many filipino fusion, twist or watever u wanna call it. Iv had Kasama in Chicago, the first Filipino Michelin Star -- and maybe that was my standard... still good though , I wings sadly was my favorite.. kare kare was cool.. but more sauce and more bagoong wouldve been cool - but then again I think they played it safe - to cater to non Fils... now the Pancit Palabok - I dd not get the pasta filling -- it was shrimp supposedly - tasted more like a fish ball, meat ball texture.. it threw me of cus Palabok is mostly just noodles w sauce - and some shrimp if youre lucky , and chicharon.. it had a lil of palabok to it but again I didnt get the pasta filling -- Its a pop up vibe, it was dark like really dark, and was only 2 tables dining, it was also so the menu was super limited.. maybe il come for dinner next time.. but I saw the dinner prices , and its a lil too much , as people have said on yelp, so not sure if Il even go unless it comes about... give em a try , maybe Im just too bias cus of Kasama and also a yelper said, a non Filipino would enjoy it more -- server also gave us the wrong bill, not a big deal but considering there was only 2 tables there , it kinda messed up the vibe more lol .. but still 4 stars for support n the food wasnt bad so dont be discouraged.. check em out.“
“ButtonMash is the epitome of a gamer's paradise blended with delicious food and drinks. From the moment we stepped in, the vibrant atmosphere was palpable, with the sounds of laughter and the clinking of glasses mingling with the cheerful beeps and boops of arcade games. Our experience at ButtonMash was elevated by our incredible waitress, Victoria, whose warmth and charisma made us feel right at home. Despite the bustling crowd, Victoria ensured that our needs were met promptly, adding an extra touch of magic to my birthday celebration. The menu at ButtonMash is a delightful fusion of mouthwatering dishes and drinks, perfectly complementing the nostalgic ambiance. “First time and IMPRESSED! I am not vegan, but I looooveee fries, orange chicken, everything pretty much that is sold here and wanted to try! Service -Staff was really friendly and kind. We actually got to sit in at the one table they had so felt a bit intimate at first, but relaxed our ways in. Staff was friendly, prompt, great! Ambiance- -It has a comfortable, family vibe to it. I love it : ) Food- -Side of fries is seasoned with something I can't quite put my finger on BUT it does remind me of seasoning in other asian type chips! It was quite addicting to me but not the usual spice/savory that I'm used to -Orange chicken bowl: I thought it was delicious! Was it EXACTLY like real chicken? No, but it still had texture to it even while being cauliflower and so I loved that I got to eat something so tasty and textured but also getting some veggies along with it (heh heh). I don't know if I'd come all the time or as a fave spot just yet, BUT down to come again soon and try other things! :)“
“The food at Henry's restaurant is delicious, with top-quality ingredients. You can't get enough of the Vietnamese lobster noodles, and the beef tenderloin melts in your mouth. It never disappoints. You can try it, you will definitely like it!“
“I work at a plastic surgery clinic where we often have lunch together as a group. With almost 30 people, it can be difficult to decide on a menu each time. However, we recently tried ordering food for all 30 of us from here and we were all pleasantly surprised by how perfect everything was. Personally, I absolutely loved the Yuja chicken and the addition of Korean Kimchi on the side was just perfect. The fries were incredibly crunchy and fresh as well.Another dish that stood out was the pesto with fried tofu our doctors were really into it! In fact, we have already ordered food from here more than three times. I highly recommend it!Lastly, I want to mention how clean and unique their to go boxes are. It truly made me happy.“
“How could I forget about this beautiful restaurant for months since my first visit with girl friends last September? I am so glad I suddenly remember this restaurant last Saturday, the first day of the Chinese new year! The interior decoration is perfect for Chinese new year! This is My family's first time visit! They all love it! Perfect for pictures! It is a shame for not many people knowing this place, because they are only two tables occupied during our 1.5 hour visit. The only waitress is Miss Iris from Taipei. She is super nice and friendly! Fortunately, when we left, there were two parties coming in! We love the food maybe because the owner and the chef are from my hometown Taiwan, according to the waitress! The presentation is so beautiful! Perfect for my Facebook postings! I already told my college girlfriends about our next reunion location! Here! Perfect for our group pictures!“
“Really fresh tasting and good flavors.I got the large short ribs with egg noodles and baby bok choy. For $14 I thought the portions were really good, they didnt skimp on the meat and the noodles and vegetables made it a full meal. The bok choy in particular tasted very fresh like it came straight from the farm. Friendly employees who I think are also owners, she gave us a free water to go along with the Coke I ordered. Tiny little place, has a couple of tables outside, a few parking places of their own.“
“Been going here with my little siblings for a few years now. Their ramen is delicious and never disappoints, always finishing the last drop!!Their waiters are sweet and great service. I would go here from time to time and it's still good as always!!“
“Amazing Mexican food. The home made tortillas were so good and the Mexican brown rice was such an awesome brown rice prep. Great service, nice people. We missed a couple items on our takeout order and the restaurant promptly refunded us. Really appreciated the help with that one.“
“Ample parking and great Ugyhur food. We tried a variety of dishes and they came out fresh and with generous portions. We tried their big plate chicken which was tasty, the laghman was totally worth the visit as well. The manta was made fresh and delicious. The Ugyhur milk tea was also an experience, salty and buttery. I look forward to visiting again and trying more items.“
“Probably the best place I've tried sushi. Large portions and excellent prices. As a fairly big guy, I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't finish two regular plates. The service is top-notch. My best wishes to this establishment“
“This place is amazing. My friend made reservations for us about a month in advance. We were seated right away. We had the options of either seafood or beef menu. We choose the beef menu. This is my first dining experience so I was looking forward to everything. This was a unique 12 course experience and the staff here did an amazing job. Every item that came out was very good. Tucked inside a hotel you wouldn't know about this place but I am glad my friend found it. We now made it a yearly thing to come back here and have dinner here now“
“Awesome little hidden gem in the Eagle Rock plaza, everything we got was so good, very fresh and came out pretty quickly too. Highly recommend the popcorn lobster appetizer, and any rolls/sushi/sashimi you get you can't go wrong with!!“
“Asian option if you like a good bowl of curry rice with crispy chicken and onion like I had! ? You have more options, but it is an economical and good option in downtown Los Angeles! ?️Vegetarian options: Vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: No problemWheelchair accessibility: Accessible“
“So damn good. Great after a walk around the Silverlake reservoir. We were able to walk in and get a table in their backyard seating without any reservation on a Thursday evening.Food was delicious although could be a bit spicier, loved the atmosphere out back.“
“One of the jewels of dining in ELA. The food, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant are incomparable. I love the bento boxes, and they are a great value. The customer service is excellent and par noneVegetarian options: There are good optionsParking: The plenty of itKid-friendliness: Family oriented place, but mainly the food is catered to an adult tasteWheelchair accessibility: Yes plenty of room for a wheelchair, and I frequently see persons with them“
“Today was our first time here. Based on recent reviews we came here. The exterior kind of throws you off, but the service, menu simplicity, price, AND Food portions was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!DEFINITELY COMING BACK! Give them a chance and make a visit to get some fresh made to order food!“
“Food is good. Boba more like less authentic. Everything good just you make sure they don't go wrong on your order. My Boba had a peace of plastic. Hopefully they get better.Parking: It's always almost full because of subway or Dennys but pretty sure you'll find parking .Kid-friendliness: A small place.“
“Upon stumbling upon this charming little hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the owner and promptly seated. After perusing the menu, we decided to start our culinary adventure with the Crispy Rolls priced at $11. These fried spring rolls filled with glass noodles, cabbage, carrots, and taro, served with a delightful sweet and sour sauce, were a vegan delight. For our main courses, we indulged in the flavorful Pat Thai priced at $15, featuring rice noodles with beef, eggs, bean curd, sweet radish, bean sprouts, and green onions, all topped with roasted peanuts. Our second entrée was the Suji Dry priced at $17, a generous portion of glass noodles stir-fried with chicken, garlic, celery, carrots, Napa cabbage, and onions, tossed in a savory Japanese Sukiyaki sauce. The portion sizes were surprisingly large, easily satisfying two people per plate and proving to be great value for the price. The restaurant exuded a cozy, homely ambiance that instantly put us at ease. The welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the soothing background music, enhanced our dining experience. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for its delicious food, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be shared with others seeking a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings in the future.Vegetarian options: Most of the dishes if not all can be eaten without and meat.Parking: There are paid parking or free parking less than block away.“
“Where do I start, the service was unlike anything else I've ever experienced, Jayce went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food, just wow! From the shooters, to the octopus, to the steak, and my goodness the Oreo soufflé! You must come and experience this place!!!“
“JS Foothill Restaurant is a hidden gem for dim sum enthusiasts and lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. First and foremost, let's talk about the fried rice - it's exceptional! Each grain is perfectly cooked and infused with flavors that dance on your palate with every bite. Whether you opt for the classic vegetable fried rice or indulge in the decadent seafood version, you're in for a treat. Now, onto the dim sum. From the delicate shrimp dumplings to the savory shumai, each dim sum dish flavors burst in your mouth. But wait, there's more! The garlic broccoli is a must-try side dish. Crisp, vibrant broccoli florets are tossed in a delectable garlic sauce has perfect balance of flavors. Overall, JS Foothill Restaurant exceeds expectations in every aspect. Whether you're a dim sum connoisseur or simply craving delicious Chinese cuisine, JS Foothill Restaurant is the place to be.“
“Oi has been a local favorite for us for a while now! It’s so nice to have yummy Filipino food nearby— I’ve tried several of the bowls and have loved all of them.Today I went in and ordered food to go, and then stopped by the boba place next door while waiting for my food. I didn’t even mention where I was going, but a few minutes later someone from Oi peeked their head in to see if I was there and brought me my food. Needless to stay, the staff goes above and beyond. I’d had a tough morning and that little thoughtful act really brightened my day.“
“Originally we wanted to go to San Laurel but they only open for dinner. So Agua viva was our second option but, it turned out as a present surprise. Outdoor seat was a bit chilly but good vibe with LA downtown look down view. Service is nice. Good Spanish wine list, foods are just amazing. Never disappointed by Jose Andrés restaurants. Everything was great, and the best was the dessert. Very creative, nice presentation and of course delicious. Highly recommend this place and we will revisit por supuesto!Parking: Valid parking is $15 with validation.“
“A very solid sushi spot in Monterey Park with a great selection of sushi and rolls.I ordered their salmon burrito, green onion sesame chicken, soft shell crab & the Kaiba roll. The salmon burrito was way bigger than I thought and can probably feed two people. The salmon tasted fresh and it was overall solid entree. The sesame chicken was crispy and delicious. I tried it with the tempura sauce and it took it to the next level. The soft shell crab was also delicious and flavorful. Their signature roll was good but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall the lunch was very good and satisfying.Customer service was excellent and I’d definitely come back to this spot again to try their other menu items. Parking can be tough during peak times.“
“There’s something about Thai food where even when you don’t know what you want to eat, Thai food will always hit the spot, and so will Daisy Mint. I usually get the drunken noodle with shrimp, green curry with veggies, and the crying tiger.“
“I love Oishi Sushi! Their sushi, sashimi and rolls are melt in your mouth! Please get their Rising Hamachi roll, Salmon carpaccio and Seared Albacore with Crispy onion! Their sushi are all delicious especially the jumbo scallop! Great service as well. Can’t wait to come back!“
“The good : I love how they went for a chic yet street food aesthetic for their restaurant. I think it really emulates Chinese food which definitely plays into the experience of eating here. The portions and platings were very good and we were able to try many dishes. With that said I think the food was just okay. The Mid : Maybe it's because I am Chinese so I've tasted better Chinese food before so that's why I wasn't super impressed. I will say tho I really liked the fried rice because they added the Chinese sausage to it which makes the taste really authentic keke. There definitely is better and Chinese food in the LA area because they definitely are a western twist. but I do think the ambiance makes up for the lack of an oomph factor in the flavors and I also wish they cut back on the oil a little.“
“One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. Though it's a little bit spicy, the proteins are pretty good with the fantastic taste. The staff told me that their boss asked them to add enough food to ensure customers' satisfaction. What a great experience of dining here. Attention to adjust the spicy level for any one of the pots.“
“Their soy garlic is real good here. We ordered the group meal, which came with wings and drumsticks, and 2 sides. Only the wings come with sauce but you can dip the crispy drumsticks in the extra sauce for more soy garlic goodness.Service is great. Seating is limited inside and outside. There’s free parking in their lot and on the streets.“
“On our last day in LA we decided to visit Filipinotown to have some Filipino food and we stumbled upon HiFi and boy do we not regret coming by. Food was simply incredible, the flavor was perfect and hands down best Filipino food we’ve tried. Don’t think twice and come in and have some great food!! You need to order their Pandan Horchata drink, soo good!“
“I love the vibes of this place! There’s a paper menu for you to check off what you like and your food will come with side dishes such as steamed egg and kimchi. The skewers come raw and it will slowly cook over the grill. You will also have a tray and you have the option to dip your meats in hot sauce, regular cumin or spiced cumin. Parking can be found in the back and you can also enter the restaurant through the back.“
“Can’t believe this is actual mall court food! My gut was telling me try their California bowl, it amazes me how much prep was used to make a savory, healthy, and nutritious ingredients all come together for lunch rush. A must have taste combo of brown rice (choice of rice), crispy tofu, kale, avocado, pickled red onion with soft boiled egg and miso and mayo sauce. Definitely, will swing by to enjoy another mighty bowl!“
“Found this spot after going to the Van Gogh Experience. They open late and amazingly, their food is delicious. Service is good too - a bit busy at 9pm but we got our food quickly. One thing I have to note is that there's a bunch of napkins on the floor by the kitchen and the staff just walk around them, making the place look unkept. Overall, they are still my go to when I'm in the area.“
“If you're looking for a place with great food made fresh to order, you've come to the right place! They have the best fresh Japanese style chicken yakisoba and Korean style rib-eye bulgogi beef bowls I've ever tried. I love that they open early so I'll usually call ahead and pick up my order on the way to work. The staff is friendly, works fast and they always get my order right. Come try it out!“
“We love the food and the couple that owns the restaurant. They are friendly hard working people.Parking: The parking is in the back. They have about 3 or 4 spots available. But there is free street parking in the front and a free parking lot that is walking distance with plenty of parking spots available usually.Kid-friendliness: They are kid and family friendly. Our kids love the farfalle pasta, and our waitress.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp from the parking lot to the restaurant, great for wheelchairs and strollers. They have enough space in the restaurant to fit with a stroller without being an inconvenience to others.“
“Excellent authentic Japanese izakaya restaurant. The biggest saba (grilled mackerel) I've ever seen! Huuuuge. I had the katsu - excellent. My daughter had the BBQ beef skirt teriyaki and I tried a piece and it was delicious. Service was awesome too. The couple who I believe own/run the place were super nice and gracious. A big TV with NBA basketball on - what more could you ask for?“
“Thoroughly enjoyed Far Bar’s happy hour, which runs from 3-7pm Monday to Friday, and all day Monday. Best value play is the Burger Special ($13), which includes fries and a Sapporo or soda.Wings are also excellent. Will try their shrimp tacos next! Service is awesome and the vibes are casual yet with a classy decor (especially outside). Love this historic spot!“
“Absolutely loved this place and it deserves all the hype that I've seen online! My boyfriend and I went specifically to get the giant beef rib off the premium menu ($40.99) and we were not disappointed. I'm glad we ordered that item first because it takes an incredibly long time to cook. Other stand out meats were the LA galbi, thick pork belly, and wagyu beef belly. I will say that their meat menu is a bit smaller than other KBBQs in that area, but uniquely they had a lot of options for small plates and soups. I highly recommend the steamed egg, braised beef ribs, and Cajun shrimp. The only item I didn't like was the dynamite scallop. Was a little too spicy for my taste.Banchan was also good, not great, but still very good. You can never go wrong with the spicy cucumber and glass noodles.“
“It's been some years since I last dined at Shiro, and I was so delighted that it has fully maintained its superlative status as a first rate restaurant experience on every level. Shiro offers casually elegant dining in a handsome, intimate and stylish storefront in a historic district in South Pasadena. The French-Asian menu offers amazing creations and flavors that will entice and satisfy. My husband had an appetizer consisting of the plumpest, most tasty pan-fried oysters imaginable, as well as a wonderfully seasoned uni pasta. I had sea bass in a rich sauce over Japanese eggplant. The service is impeccable, from the initial greeting and seating to the server and helpers. It is friendly, caring and professional. We will certainly not wait years until our next visit.“
