“I've been wanting to try different omakase places in the LA area for a while now, and stumbled upon Omakase by Ozen online - and I'm glad I came! Reservations were made quickly and easily via Yelp, and I love that I was able to change my reservation time without much of a hassle. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate after I took the MCAT, so we were extremely hungry when we got here. I think this place might have had valet out front, but we opted to just find street parking in the neighborhood for a ~5 minute walk (which worked out afterwards since it let us walk off our food!). The actual restaurant is a very small and quaint place; we sat at a table instead of the bar but I thought the decorations were very cute. Service was very fast and attentive. They handed us a menu as soon as we came in, and we ordered the $130 omakase - which was a pretty good deal for the quality of the food and the whole experience. I do have to say that I was not full after the meal (so my boyfriend and I ended up getting more food afterwards at a different place), but I did enjoy my time here. Definitely worth a try if you're celebrating because of the food and the service, but I personally don't think I'd come back for the omakase.“

“This place was awesome. First of all, Lena our waitress was so kind and willing to explain the menu to us as this was our first time. The food was delicious, I recommend getting a combo so you can try many different things. Not only was the food good but the experience was amazing as well. Lena cooked the meats on front of us (she cooked them perfectly) and you could add seasonings and sauces. Additionally, the sides are brought by ROBOTS. My little sister loved this and couldn't stop giggling every time a robot came by and dropped of some kimchi which was free with the combo. 10/10 would recommend. “Ordered the Galbi, cold noodles and soup for dinner. Quality of the Galbi was very good but it was pricy. Our waiter was an expert at grilling it patiently and cut it up for us. The hilight for the dinner was the cold noodles. It was light, refreshing and the noodles were so chewy and delicious. It's best to eat this as soon as it arrives otherwise the texture of the noodles change as it sits in the broth. The soup was average. Parking in the small lot is Valet.“

But for the most part the fried chicken katsu is a good option; the bone in fried chicken that others seem to like was a little dry for me. They have a few tables in the hallway. It's not the most convenient place to eat because of the limited seating and the exterior doors were open (causing a cold breeze). I was told by other guest that the doors can't be closed because it will lock. In short, it is easier to just order pick up and eat elsewhere. Anyways, let's get to the good part... the food. I've had both the 101 and 405 sandwiches. Both are so juicy and full of flavor with great combinations of cheese and sauce. The bread is perfectly is crispy on the outside so it hold its structure well for a sandwich but warm and soft on the inside. The brisket is the star of the show. Just the right amount of smoke and fat. It falls apart perfectly without being too soggy. The truffle fries were good. They were well done and very crispy. I'm hooked!“

My favorite part was the Mac n cheese tho! They use actual cheese and top it off with bread crumbs so there's a nice crunchy layer on top. I ordered a side of fries and was surprised by how good they actually are. They're crispy and taste like a less greasy version of McDonald's fries! The brewery gets extremely packed during the weekends but the workers are always very efficient and prompt. They get your food out within 15 minutes. The ambiance itself is really nice since it's inside the brewery. There's lots of seating, games, and even an outdoor patio with live music. Definitely will be back!“
