“3rd visit - Obsessed! Innovate cuisine and meticulous cocktails at the level everywhere else wishes they could. Negroni - All time fav because the bitter punches hard (sometimes too hard). This is the best I've had! Bitter and sweet balance exquisitely - not brusque. Crispy Potatos - Well done, but makes you wonder if size is right. Close to being a french fry - but large! Crispy outside, soft inside, well seasoned. Mildly curious aioli pair well. Not perfect. Maybe needs another sauce? Seared Hokkaido Scallops - Scared green curry would overpower delicate scallops, but texture remains in tact. Curry pulls out creaminess. Delicate, but flavorful. Warm and clean. Scallion paratha is so necessary to give heavy depth! Cheesecake - Yooo!! Creme Brule is my fav and this is rivaling it! Bright and tart while velvety with deep. Not heavy! You'll regret not getting. Martini - A must every visit! I love olives, but tried lemon this time and loved how big of a difference it made! Excited to try gibson/onion next!“

The food is good as well but keep in mind that it's fairly small portions more meant as snacks.The atmosphere was top notch! It's pretty crowded even on weeknights, so you'll have to hover a bit to snag a stool or table at peak times. “My boyfriend and I love to come here for local eats. They have a good variety of beer from the valley which I like too. Michies are 10/10 ! Wednesday night they have whisky flights. I love places that have different specials each night. Menu is small but lots of good stuff on it! We were in the mood for a burger so we came here and it did not miss ! We were pleased with our order. Order the garlic toast with the dip 10/10! Fresh chips 10/10 service is okay the bartender seemed a little distracted that night but it's okay we're all human and I get it. It did not ruin the experience. “I've been coming here to Bodevi many times this past year. I was so stoked when I found out they serve wine AND espresso. I initially was drawn to their WINE FLIGHTS and VEGAN CHARCUTERIE. But lately maybe because of the cold weather I've been craving their LOX & CREAM CHEESE TOAST and BLUEBERRY GINGER LATTE. They pay really great attention to detail because my lox toast is perfectly spread all the way to the edges. The salmon perfectly scrunched for texture (not just laid out flat) and topped with sliced red onions. Then drizzled with oil I think and perfectly garnished with dill and capers...yumm!! Love the orange slices as well! The blueberry ginger latte is so unique and pretty! It has a richness to it like mocha but perfectly balanced. I get mine with oat milk. And I love seeing actual blueberries on it to give it a nice finishing touch. Get this before they switch out their seasonal menu! Once the weather warms up I may go back to trying their wine flights again. I recommend THE DAVID BOWIE so you can have the assortment of white, rose, and red if you're trying their wines for the first time. Other items I definitely recommend are the BURRATA PISTACHIO SANDWICH (I get mine minus the prosciutto to make it vegetarian) , the VEGAN DELI SANDWICH, and the DEVILED EGGS. You can't go wrong with those. They're delicious! They even have an assortment of board games, chess, and checkers that you can play in the private room in the back. So chic and charming for big parties! Service is wonderful! My lattes always come out perfect here made by Caleb and Melissa! And like I said they pay attention to detail. There's also a self serve water station by the bar. Parking is FREE in the back parking lot. Front parking you have to pay for with coins not credit cards. Such an absolute GEM in San Fernando!“

“Checked out another local pub, I was completely enchanted by Roxy, the Bartender, more of a mom to the neighborhood regulars and, dare I say it, a true tavern matron from those D&D games. In her 20 years she went through the two owners, having been let go in the crossover, she was brought back to roust the unsavory elements of the pub and to restore order. She has done so and created a little haven for the locals. I hadn't been here for 15 years, and she remembered me ? There is pool, darts, the jukebox, which played stuff from this decade, but of course, you haven't truly been in a hometown bar until Toby Keith is belting out "I love this bar." Like he has brain damage, but that anthem, sung by regulars and travelers passing through winking and pointing and crooning, well it's a camaradrie that is sweet in it's loyalty and stamina. The locals who inhabit this bar work in the biggest industry we have, and are affected by the strike. Roxy, the true treasure here in this gem of a local spot, was making a comfy amount of money as a Business Manager for a Corporation. She retired, and now she runs Gilligan's 4 nights a week ❤️“

Parking at 6pm was free on metered section of Ventura boulevard.Normally, there is a weekday happy hour. The business owner/manager shared there is a book club on Sundays and a wine class. It’s an intimate yet sophisticated environment. Very close to the Galleria.I will return to check out the book clubz Each patron brings their own books and reads independently for an hour; then, each patron sparks up a conversation and shared with others. I can imagine the stimulating conversations that take place.“

“I have been here many times, especially in the past when it was called the hi-hat, and I think that the way it is now is an improvement if only for the sound. there are a bunch of arcade machines but they look like they're hard to find. they had this Frozen wine type of drink I was afraid it was going to get me super drunk really fast because I sipped everything at the bottom of the ice and you know how alcohol freezes at a lower temperature, but fortunately it wasn't that strong. and unfortunately it wasn't that strong.“

Beer options were fine, but with the ceiling decorated with hanging clay steins I would have guessed they would have at least one German beer on tap. Also the staff was not trained on the beer offerings, which in 2024 should be expected. As they have “Whiskey” in the name I see Beer isn’t as important.“

“We had a ladies lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. We made reservations online through Yelp about two weeks prior and were seated promptly on arrival at reservation time. We ordered drinks, appetizers, pizza, and flat breads to share. The buffalo cauliflower (has a nice kick), Brussel sprouts, and parmesan truffle fries were good, plentiful and crispy. The pear royale pizza and heirloom tomato flat bread were really good. The skinny studio heat cocktail was delicious and left me wanting a second round of it. Atmosphere is loud and it gets really packed and busy here. Service was attentive. There is a separate room in the back where a baby shower was held. Six Chow can accommodate big groups and is great for celebrations. Several tables were celebrating birthdays where staff came out with cake/desserts and sang at various times. Valet is available in the front, parking lot is small, and there are street parking.“

“I came on a Saturday night for my birthday.. and I loved it! They had a Dj which didn’t miss at all!! The entire night just banger after banger! The taco man in the back came at midnight… and man was it worth the wait!! My guy has 3 for $5 tacos $8 quesadillas! You can’t go wrong( this was February 2024). They have beer pong, pool, and darts upstairs, and they said they even host tournaments for prizes every week! Drinks are cheap people are cool. Highly recommended this bar!“

Specialty cocktails are regular-priced almost as high as Ventura Blvd.Staff does their job and treats customers like they are happy to be there.“
