“I recently visited Palsaik with my girlfriend and her friends, and let me tell you—it was a trip down memory lane! Having lived in Korea about ten years ago, I was thrilled to find this gem right here. Palsaik specializes in eight different flavors of pork belly, and each bite was like a reunion with old friends. The ambiance was cozy, and the aroma of sizzling meat filled the air. Our server was an absolute star—helpful, attentive, and skilled at cooking the meat to perfection. They made sure our dining experience was extraordinary. From the savory garlic flavor to the sweet honey soy, every slice of pork belly transported me back to those bustling Korean barbecue joints. The nostalgia was real, and I couldn’t help but smile between bites.Whether you’re a seasoned Korean food enthusiast or a curious newcomer, Palsaik is a must-visit. The flavors, the service, and the memories—it’s all there. I’m already planning my next visit because, honestly, where else can you find such a delightful pork belly feast?“
“We've been coming here for many years. The go-to order for us is the Ox-tongue, Slightly Salted with Green Onions. Other good choices are the Skirt Steak, Liver, Garlic. Be warned it does tend to get smokey inside, so you'll come out smelling like bbq. Plenty of parking in the lot. Reservations help on weekends.“
“There are vents that go pretty low so you don't get as much smoke smell on your clothes after the meal.Wait time was good (as a walk-in on Sat night ~8pm).The bonchon selection is quite good - the mat kimchi is fresh but still has the fermentation I expect of good kimchi. Not going to review each one, there was a wide selection and refills on all of them.We got the beef combo, with boneless short ribs. The boneless short ribs were my favorite. They do come by to flip your meat (but don't hover over your shoulder).Jazz started off our service but every waiter was friendly and went out of their way to help! I left a good tip for that.Parking: The parking can be limited because there are so many good food places in the same plaza.“
“We try to grab a delicious meal here at least once a month. The picanha is delicious and you will be satisfied with all the other cuts, there is something for everyone, no seafood though. Salad buffet has a great variety and they serve feijoada (black bean stew) daily. The service is superb and I enjoy how the tables are not too close to each other and allows for nice conversations. My son always enjoy the ice cream w chocolate fudge for dessert.“
“Wow what an amazing meal! This place a delightful, bare bones cook your own fine meat to your precise liking. Excellent customer service and soju and sake. We came here for a birthday, and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“I was never a big fan of gopchang, as eating intestines was a bit icky to me. However, this place has changed my view on gopchang! I think the places I had gopchang before had poor quality meat/intestines as it never tasted "fresh" or of good quality. I felt that thus restaurant had good quality meat and every side dishes they had was very delicious. The dwenjangjjigae was the best part of the side dishes along with the radish kimchi. Not only was the food amazing, the service was outstanding, as the servers were very attentive and kind. Would def come back for more gopchang!!“
“5 stars! Everything about this restaurant is the best! The service was fast and efficient. The meat melted in our mouths. The quantity of food served was awesome! We highly recommend it! We ordered the beef tasting menu and couldn't be happier!“
“Everything was absolutely delicious! It's our first time here and we fell in love with this place... besides, the service was fast, kind, we were very comfortable here. The place is clean, spacious and music was great. We ordered a family pack #1 (ribs, chixken, beans, coleslaw and cornbread) and my lil' one had the baby back ribs (includes fries, a chocolate chip cookie and a small beverage). Today is Saturday and soft drinks were only 1.50 :) so, great portions, great prices too!Highly recommended!!!We definitely will be back ❤️“
“QUITE LITERALLY one of the best hidden gems in LA. The chicken skewers are jumbo and the sides are FIRE. The mac and cheese is just as good as the best I've ever had. The brussel sprouts are solid. One of the BEST values out there. And hidden in a super market. Whoda thunk?Vegetarian options: Brussel sprouts. Vegetable medley.“
“I absolutely love this place. The food was delicious and the environment inviting and enjoyable. We have been here a few times and everyone of them has been fantastic. The food is delicious and fun. The bbq style is great for promoting conversation and fun. Highly recommend it!“
“Definitely a great place to eat. The staff is not very helpful, you have to spend time waving them down in order to get your drinks filled. The quality of the meats are great, the food is good because you cook it yourself. I can definitely say we had our fair share of food, we went away full. It's a very busy place so if you plan to go make sure you leave time to wait before being seated.“
“We visited during lunch time and three people in our group each had Yangpyeong hangover soup. We ordered homemade dumpling soup and grilled noodles and shared them with each other, enjoying them. The mixed grain rice, cabbage kimchi, and radish radish radish were crunchy and delicious, and the other side dishes were clean and delicious. The staff is very friendlythanked.“
“A fantastic little eatery where I could get a great affordable meal fast and eat in or take out. The menu is expansive and authentic Hawaiian BBQ. This is a chain on the Hawaiian islands and it was nice to eat at here in Torrance. I got the pork bowl with cabbage, but they have really good mahi mahi and chicken katsu with a side of macaroni salad. Too many choices!“
“The value this place provides with their rewards program ain't bad. I come here with my wife who is in love with the tahini sauce... She frequently orders a pint of it, then saves it for her salads. The team is friendly and the manager stopped by several times to check in on us very politely, asking if we needed extra sauces which we obliged. It's pretty hard to beat the value of BBQ here compared to so many other places that charge way too much for a lighter "gourmet" portion. This is the way to feed your family at a reasonable price and you will for sure have leftovers. Also I love the smell in there - 5 star for smells ?“
“I don't like it anymore and I change the menu a lot to eat shrimp you already have to pay extra and the prices are already very high and they take a long time to serve you and bring things to the table, you have to be asking for a lot of kisses it's not compared to before if they served you good“
“This is old style Mongolian BBQ that was so popular during the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's. All you can eat(single serving option is available as well) buffet with frozen slices of beef, pork, chicken, and lamb, along with a variety of vegetables, that the guest piles into a bowl, along with their choices from a variety of sauces like garlic, ginger, chili oil, lemon water, and so much more! You take the bowl to a central grill, where the chief pours the contents onto the grill, and masterfully works around the large circular grill, until perfectly cooked. Your selection is removed from the grill, and presented to you on a plate, along with sesame bread. There is also a simple salad bar, and desserts. My only criticism would be that it definitely shows it's age, and would benefit from a facelift. Don't let that old decor hide the treasure inside though. I would highly recommend checking this little gem out! I'm confident you won't regret it ?♨️???“
“Love the vibes of this place, the food is so yummy and I adore a self serve bar for the side dishes. Usually I feel bad having to constantly ask for more cucumber or rice paper. Love that I can get what I like and as much as I like. The price is better then most other kbbq places. 10/10 recommended to other to try if you are in the area.“
