“No complaints to speak of, it's all good but nothing's out of this world... You'll never be disappointed, but don't expect a gourmet experience. Pizza was...pizza. the wings were fat and VERY well sauced, and the salad was a salad. We got the Manager's special.“

“Giamela's is an old family owned chain with amazing pepper steak subs. I have been eating here since at least the early 80's, and unfortunately they've closed a few locations. Their subs are generously portioned and freshly prepared. Aside from their pepper steak, their meatball sub among others is classic. The atmosphere and decor is basic, but that isn't why you come here. Service is friendly.“

SOOOO IN LOVE with this place I am mad I don’t live in LA ..I’m from Vancouver CANADA .. visiting LA for the first time , Let me tell you . I had the octopus ( that was off a side menu that might have been their daily specials ) as a starter and I ate it soooo slowly cus I was in HEAVEN with every single bite I took .. I didn’t want to finish it but couldn’t wait to take another bite .. the flavours were so amazing and cooked to perfection. Next up I had the Ravioli Verdi di Spinaci e Ricotta
and omg again… OUTSTANDING cooked Al dente as I love it and although I was full after that.. I stayed and gave myself some time to digest my food cus I wasn’t leaving without having the crème brûlée .. and I’m glad I did cus it was phenomenal . I wanted to try everything on the menu .. Andrea is a culinary GENIUS . Shoutouts to Pablo ,Sara for being so welcoming and the rest of the amazing staff . I can’t wait to eat here again .. ?????

“My husband and I tried this restaurant today and we were very happy with the food. The chef took our order and took the time to explain that the lasagna recipe is from his mother. The lasagna sauce was amazing and so was the Diavola pizza. Very authentic and intimate restaurant. Great place for a date night, or quiet dinner with friends.“

Very welcoming host and hostess seating me quickly but not rushed as using my cane up a few seats to beautiful elevated dining area. Our appetizers bruschetta and beet and burrata salad were the perfect and most delicious start to our dinner. I had the most fabulous and delicious Fettuccine Alfredo I have ever had. Specially added for me were mushrooms and broccoli. Who knew?! Out of this world for my vegetarian lifestyle. Only had room for espresso as desert and was amongst the best I have had in Europe or anywhere. “Wow what an amazing hidden gem off of Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks. The food was incredible. I got the Gnocchi with a gorgonzola mushroom cream sauce. It reminded me of my own mothers cooking maybe even a little bit better...but don't tell her I said that. My gf got the penne arrabiata with chicken and the portion was very large that she had another meal after packing her leftovers. Our server Yadira was very attentive was gave amazing service.

I highly recommend this place. They also have a great take out system if dining in isnt your thing.

He couldn't comment on which choice was the driest. They could read up in their spare time, there are lots of evenings when they're not busy. Also, although I hosted 5 people and our bill totaled over $500, they charged a $2.50" split fee" to bring one extra salad plate so two of us could share 1 salad.“
