“This past weekend, I had the chance to visit Mirate without a reservation. Given it was Coachella weekend, I imagine it's usually tough to get a table here without a wait. Right from the moment we walked in and were directed to the bar area, I felt like something special was about to unfold. The environment was both open and lush, creating a sense of bliss similar to the feeling of being on vacation. The drinks menu was impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed the La Soñadora, a clarified milk punch, out of the two I tried. We ordered five dishes, and four really stood out. I would definitely order the pork belly tacos, kampachi aguachile, jalapeño cornbread, and the baby gems again. We were too full to try the churros, although we wanted to. Our server was wonderful and played a big part in making our afternoon at Mirate a 5-star experience.“

“Food and wine selection at AOC is very good. The service is what stood out most. I dined here Monday night and the hostess was very kind. Michael our waiter really made our night. He had great menu and drink recommendations and his positive attitude was so infectious it really made our night. He really set the standard for amazing service. We will be back asap to see him!“

“This is an L.A. bar with an NYC feel…post gentrification. A good place for an intimate situation or for bein’ a gaggle of gays and theys. Not sure about the pricing as I was treated to my libations, but the service was friendly. I appreciated the attentiveness. They have high tops on one side and soft seating on the other with bar seating in between the two.“

“We brought our own wine, corking fee $40. Had a great experience here but they took my wine into the back and put it into the decanter, as it is a bottle we brought, would have preferred if they had poured it in front of us. Otherwise it was a great meal and food was delicious. We did the matu dinner which is a 5 course meal and definitely worth it especially if you’re a first timer. Highly recommend. Great atmosphere and everyone who we interacted with was very nice!“

“This was our first time at Saltie Girl. We will definitely be dinning at Saltie Girl again.The oysters were outstanding and not a bad price at $4.50 each. They had great flavor.LA Pink salad was very good with an excellent crushed maple walnut dressing dressing.The Moules Frites, probably the best I ever had, even better than in Belgium! Ipswich Claim had a wonderful coating and excellent flavor. The Fried Brussels Sprouts outstanding flavor. The French Dover Sole with the lemon, capers, butter and parsley, amazing flavor. Lump Crab Toast bold and delicious flavor.The one dish I would pass on next time is the Tins. We had one tin with Sardine In Olive Oil With Lemon and one with Hake In Green Sauce. They just lacked flavor.Service was top notch.“

“Went here once for dinner. I don’t think it was too long after they had opened. The service was great and the food was definitely very good. We went for dinner - it was probably a Wednesday or Thursday. The thing that I remember the most about it though, unfortunately, was just how insanely loud it is in there. Be prepared to yell at whomever you’re dining with so they can hear you. The entire interior is concrete. Everybody is jabbering away and the sound bounces around and soon everybody is screaming so they can hear themselves.“

“Hands down the best breakfast biscuits I've had. I stop here every single time I'm in l.a. I finally tried something new and ordered the ADB Loco Motto, and it didn't disappoint. The drinks were strong and good. Get there early because it's a neighborhood favorite and fills up fast. The space is cozy, and parking is very limited.Parking: I only saw metered street parking, and there weren't a lot of spots available. You may have to park down the street and walk down to the restaurant.“

“Wow, wow, wow! From the minute we were greeted by the doorman and we entered the beautiful space, we knew we were in for a treat. And in the VALLEY, no less! What a gem. The nightclub vibe and attention to detail were what we noticed first. We really appreciated the seamless, knowledgable, and friendly attentiveness of the waitstaff. The music was spot-on. We wish the sets could've been a little longer but I'm sure there's a reason they weren't. Because it feels there is a reason for EVERYTHING here. The cocktails were delicious and perfectly balanced (Mezcal Negroni and Toluca Sunrise). And the food! Milk buns are a must. I could've made a meal of the roasted corn - creamy, flavorful deliciousness. Lamb pasta, crushed potato and the New York were perfect. A second bread option would be nice to eat with the mains. Wish we'd saved room for dessert! Next time. Because there will DEFINITELY be a next time.“

“The influence of Alice Waters and David Tennis is at play in the $45 prix fixe 3-course lunch, simple, elegant and delicious. The rest of the menu, except the desserts and cocktails, looks to be uninterestingly pedestrian. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. Highly recommended for lunch.“

“**Update: there is no place I enjoy eating at for important meals than at HLAY. Food and drink are second to none. But, it's the staff and crew that really and it into the stratosphere. I couldn't ask for a better meal, all around, than here. Jonathan, the place is in good, capable hands. “I would give 6 stars if that were possible! The food at Dante is consistently incredible, and the service is outstanding! “Went on a Sunday for brunch and there was a hefty wait around ~1-1.5hrs, which was completely expected for the area. We were fine with waiting as there's a lot of neat shops to explore and farmersmarket in the area. We ordered the breakfast burrito, spicy chicken sandwich, ceviche, and pepperoni pizza. The ceviche comes with homemade huge taro root chips - which was a nice touch! Everything was delicious but the chicken sandwich was really wet - to the point of needing to eat with a fork and knife. I personally would not order it again as it felt a bit too soupy for me but overall everything was tasty. Service was great and friendly. We sat outside as we had our husky with us - the place was very dog friendly outside.“

“The aesthetic here is quite beautiful. Made by a graffiti artist Kacper Abolik, horses and other subjects adorn the walls as you eat in the back room. Many dishes make a correlation to horses as well. The hot plate is a horse shoe. The butter is molded into a horse. The details really make the experience. The cocktails and wine selection is lovely as well. It's a great place to go for date night!“

“This is our fourth time here since opened. We love it and even brought some first timers. Just a couple of things, the rigatoni was not as spicy as usual, the chicken parmesan seemed a little small and $45 for corkage is a little high my feeling.“

“Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.“

“Took my girlfriend there for her birthday dinner. There was a cute card waiting for us on the table with a personalized message wishing her a happy birthday. Staff was great. Polite and attentive. “Where do I start with how much I love this place? As a photographer it's a joy and a delight to be here but even without the fact that I've worked there many times... The food the decor, the staff.. if you get a chance to meet Eden Alpert you're lucky. Always kind.... And you'll notice that she's probably having the best time of anyone. The music and the performers are top-notch. It's not uncommon to see some of the top names in jazz.. however don't be surprised if you see Seth MacFarlane doing songs from Sinatra or an Amy Winehouse tribute. Sound mix is even and the perfect volume. Highly recommend the Caesar salad with a plate sized parmesan crisp and the mini ahi tuna tacos and save room for the hot chocolate cake. Food is top of the line and jazz club is elegant and upscale. Can't wait to eat and shoot pics there again soon.“

“Make a reservation if you go here! We came on a Saturday afternoon and even though there were tables open they asked us if we had a reservation & when we said no they made us wait which threw us off a little! That being said, it's a gorgeous location and the ramen is amazing. The broth is absolutely divine & love that they gave an abundance of toppings. I will be back!“

“Every time we visit LA we have come to the Edmond for years. They recently changed their license and unfortunately we didn’t find out until our friend came with her 18 yr. old daughter and we sat down and she had water and was carded and asked to leave. It is now 21 and over, so no more family meals here. It’s unfortunate, but true. Please Post a sign for those that have been coming for years and don’t check the website.“

“Absolutely fabulous! The beef tartare was superb. I had the black truffle risotto and there is nothing better than that on the menu in my personal opinion, rich, creamy, earthy, simply delicious. My mom had the crab pasta which was so complex, but the lumps of crab added such a lovely ocean flavor to every bite. Our server was incredible! She was so attentive and kind and patient with us. But the best part of the meal was the tiramisu, not your typical tiramisu but the chocolate record decoration made the whole evening. Also the cocktails were worth every penny, expertly crafted and unique.“

“We came here for Easter Sunday brunch yesterday. It’s a cute restaurant with friendly staff.However, I expected the food to taste better…I ordered their classic breakfast pizza suggested by the server. First of all, it looked great. I’m not a fan of the fake bacon because it tastes like paper. After the first couple of bites, I realized the pizza was barely edible because of the amount of big rosemary leaves added in the pizza dough. I had to hand picked them out of the pizza to avoid tasting the ‘soapy’ rosemary flavor… and I love rosemary in general. Just not THIS MUCH. I asked my friends to also taste my pizza and they all told me I should send it back.Luckily, our server took it back right away and gave me the option to change to a different pizza.The second pizza I ordered was margarita pizza. It was pretty blend. But at least edible.I do need to say their menu is probably a hit or miss. My friends ordered the breakfast burritos that they enjoyed a lot. “The restaurant is located on the second floor of Nerano in Beverly Hills (you have to take an elevator up to the second floor through Nerano). This gives the spot kind of a fun speakeasy feel to it. When you get out of the elevator, you walk into a beautifully designed / decorated, cozy, albeit slightly quirky space. It's not large (I think the capacity is 34). Came here for a food event, which I did a review for separately, but this experience in particular was grabbing a drink at the bar. (I did think the food was delicious though and urge folks to come here and give this place a try. I know I want to come back and try more menu items.) The bar is beautifully designed and organized. I found myself perusing and mentally cataloguing the whiskeys as I always do when I go to new restaurants. But this place looked like a place that has fun cocktails. So I ordered The George Michael. The drinks here are really interactive, and the bartenders are super enthusiastic to the point that it's infectious. My drink in particular had some bowls that floated up and you had to catch it with a paddle. Flavor wise it was like espresso martini with a peanut butter twist to it. All in all this place is a great place to grab drinks and/or food. Lots of fun. There's a lot of street parking nearby, but it could get challenging especially during the weekends. I came in the middle of the week and was able to find parking about a block away.“

“3rd visit - Obsessed! Innovate cuisine and meticulous cocktails at the level everywhere else wishes they could. Negroni - All time fav because the bitter punches hard (sometimes too hard). This is the best I've had! Bitter and sweet balance exquisitely - not brusque. Crispy Potatos - Well done, but makes you wonder if size is right. Close to being a french fry - but large! Crispy outside, soft inside, well seasoned. Mildly curious aioli pair well. Not perfect. Maybe needs another sauce? Seared Hokkaido Scallops - Scared green curry would overpower delicate scallops, but texture remains in tact. Curry pulls out creaminess. Delicate, but flavorful. Warm and clean. Scallion paratha is so necessary to give heavy depth! Cheesecake - Yooo!! Creme Brule is my fav and this is rivaling it! Bright and tart while velvety with deep. Not heavy! You'll regret not getting. Martini - A must every visit! I love olives, but tried lemon this time and loved how big of a difference it made! Excited to try gibson/onion next!“

“Pretty good! I would go back to share with my other crew. Your fresh pasta dishes are good! The lobster pappardelle is really good! I want an order to myself! haha. Your mushroom fungi trecce is good. I don't like creamy sauce but this one is good. Hard to find a good bolognese pasta, but this one is good. The hamachi is good, nice tempura element. Lobster roll is excellent!! The family loves the lamb chops!! I am not a dessert person but your sticky toffee pudding is good!!“

It offers a fantastic atmosphere, delightful music, and incredibly friendly, attentive staff.Thursday trivia nights are a personal favorite of mine.I recently hosted a party there, and the manager, Sebastian, made the entire process effortless. He helped me reserve the patio - for free - and all my guests could conveniently order their food and settle their tabs using their phones. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.I wholeheartedly recommend Stache for any event or gathering. Sebastian was an absolute pleasure to work with. “First time going. Went for a late lunch. Staff was very friendly & the food came out fast. This has an elevated or more modern vibe compared to other "traditional" Mexican restaurants with familiar menu items (tacos, chips&guac, street corn) but several premium items (tomahawk steak, lobster bomba rice) or unique options (jimca salad, shrimp chile) as well. I like the small plates and tacos but also appreciate the large plates for dinner. They also have mocktails which are fantastic- we had spicy passionfruit. Wel will ne neck amd the atmosphere is lively from watching sports to a date night.“

“Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and Amanda saw to it that we had a wonderful experience. She was so welcoming and helpful. “I wish it was possible to give this place higher than 5 stars. We had such an incredible dinner during our weekend trip to LA.First off; the atmosphere is awesome. The open dining room, along with the lighting and music make the perfect setup for a fun/modern environment.We started off with cocktails and both really enjoyed them. For appetizers we chose the pork belly sliders based off of reviews online. I personally wasn’t blow away by them, but my girlfriend really enjoyed them. We also decided to share the truffle flatbread and WOW. This was quite easily the best part of the meal. The dough was perfect and the truffle sauce on top was incredible. Do yourself a favor and order this!For the entrees; we both opted for one of the pasta dishes. Sticking with the same theme my girlfriend got the truffle pasta. She absolutely loved it, I tried a bite and was jealous I didn’t order that myself. I chose the sweet potato gnocchi with short rib and it was very good. It probably could have used some more salt.And just when we thought the meal couldn’t get any better…we ordered desert. We were going to get the churros since many reviews online talked about them, BUT based off of our server’s recommendation we ordered the chocolate cake instead. No words…just delicious. We were so content after that. We both are in agreement that this was one of the best meals we’ve had at a restaurant in a while.“

“Had a girls night at Broken Compass, and we had a blast! We did have to wait for a table to open up (maybe 20 minutes), but they had an indoor lounge area where we could order drinks from the bar.Drinks were great! You’ll find unique cocktails from the menu and you can still order OG tiki drinks such as a Painkiller, Blue Hawaiians, and more.I tried the smash burger, per our waitress’s recommendation. I’m not a pickle girly, and unfortunately, that’s all I tasted when eating it. My fault for not reading the ingredients! Paired it with fries topped with Cajun seasoning and with a thousand island dressing. They were SO good!Every staff member we encountered was so hospitable and kind, and went above and beyond to serve us!Dietary restrictions: GF options!Parking: No designated parking lot, but wasn’t difficult to find street parking.“

“My wife and I and our 2 adult children made a pilgrimage here a couple weekends ago. I wasn't even aware of it until recently, even though I had worked nearby in years past. The atmosphere is excellent, just what you'd hope for in a vintage lounge. The service was quick, although we were there in the afternoon, so it wasn't packed. The Painkillers were everyone's favorite. I started out with a Mai Tai, which was tasty. I would give the Mai Tai at Ventiki a slight edge, but that's just a quibble. Tonga Hut's prices are better though. We'll be back!“
