I hate to give a not good review. But my family and I were very excited to try this place. My 9 year old daughter tried her Oreo slush first and she said mom, it tastes like water, it’s not very tasty at all. I thought she’s only being picky but then I tried mine my Cheesy Ube Slush too and I feel the same way. So as my husband. We ordered them around 7pm. Maybe we just got there at the wrong time. My husband said he feels like we wasted our $20. Just so sad it’s not as tasty as we were hoping for.”

“Sometimes I choose not to make coffee at home just so I can get coffee here. This is home barista quality espresso served at commercial scale. The beans are so dialed in it’s like you’re tasting the coffee cherry they came from. The matcha has amazing umami, they source the tastiest chai, and you won’t find another place that does the same speciality drinks as this place. If you want a drink you can be happy to wake up to each morning, try this place out.”

“Theor pizza is really good. I love their wings. I ordered them extra crispy and they made them perfectly. My son referred me to come here. I didn't even know this gem was so close. I'll be back. However, I tried to find them on social media to post a review and couldn't find them. I think they would get more local traffic if they had a fb and ig page. The owners are super sweet and the food came out perfect.”

Tiramisu is very good and perfect, and it tasted like home made with a balance of cream and bread. The strawberry cheesecake gelato is a must try too!!”

“Ordered DoorDash and the food came hot a hit my Thai food craving. Pad see ew noodles were cooked well, spicier than what my husband and I were expecting though but still very good. Husband had the pad Thai, it was a bit too sweet for our taste. Both ordered Thai teas, these were enormous. Entrees and drink both lasted two servings.”

“Shaks came recommended to us by our wedding photographer. Upon finding out they were Armenian Lebanese (same as my family!), we knew we would book with them. As we lived out of the country, our parents went to the menu tasting and had the time of their lives. They came back raving about the place and said we have to book. Totally didn't understand the assignment of narrowing down the menu items we should have on the big day, lol. but that's a testament to how good the food is (especially the fresh falafel). Andrew was so helpful on calls, as he is very busy and emails weren't the best method of communication, and answered all of our questions, worked within our parameters and with a ton of integrity. The team was a delight on the day of and worked their tails off in the kitchen with a smile and in front of the guests. The food was a hit with the guest and I am still thinking about the garlic that I'm sure I smelled like on the wedding night because I just couldn't get enough, lol. The leftovers were awesome to have and to share with guests, too. We will be visiting Shak's when we're in the area as a nostalgia trip!!”

“Prey Brewing Company is a go-to spot for my coworkers and me. We can always agree on this place because the food is consistently delicious and the drink menu is solid. They recently updated their happy hour, but it’s still a great deal. You can't go wrong with the smash burger or the chicken sandwich, both of which pair perfectly with their fries. Do yourself a favor and make sure you get the garlic aioli—it is absolutely delicious!”

“Anthony catered tacos for our wedding this past weekend, and they were hands down the BEST tacos I have ever had - I know I'm a pinche güero but give me some credit! The food was fresh, flavorful, and a huge hit with our guests and we received so many compliments throughout the afternoon about how delicious everything was. He was smiling the whole time and was interacting with the guests giving off great energy and setting the vibe.

Anthony was an absolute delight to work with and brought such positive energy to the entire process. He made everything easy and stress-free from start to finish. I would highly recommend him and his company to anyone looking for amazing Mexican food and outstanding service, and we hope to use them again in the future!

“I visited for a business lunch and I was really impressed. This might be my new favorite Thai restaurant. The restaurant was clean and spacious with tasteful decor. The hostess/waitress was genuine and polite. I actually felt like she was happy to serve us. My associate ordered the Panang curry with chicken while I went for the Pad Thai with chicken- spicy level 10/10. It actually had a kick! Rarely am I challenged by heat, but the dish was flavorful, plated attractively and a fully portioned. Next time I’m in the mood for Thai food, I’ll certainly be coming back!”

California’s Mexican Restaurant has always been one of our family’s top three go-to spots for Mexican food when we’re in town. No particular order — just consistently great food that keeps us coming back.

The portions are generous, the food is fresh, and the flavors are exactly what you hope for from authentic Southern California Mexican food. On top of that, the employees are always amazing — friendly, welcoming, and the kind of people that make you feel glad you stopped in.

“Met the owner and his family on the train going toward Encinitas and they were some of the coolest train folk I’ve ever met. They were kind enough to give me and my partner a free box of their grand slam pizza (which we both devoured due to the deliciousness.) I think it’s safe to say that, that was some of the best pizza I’ve ever had on a train before. Or ever. I’m not located in vista whatsoever, however, I’d make a 2 hour trip to grand slam solely to get another taste of that pizza. (And ranch!) I never got the owners name unfortunately, but me and my partner were very grateful for your kindness and pizza that day. Hope to visit grand slam soon!!”

It was actually one of the few coffee shops open on Memorial Day, which I truly appreciated. I got there around 10am and it was still pretty quiet, so I had plenty of seating choices. I ended up grabbing the table bar by the window with a street view and honestly loved it (10/10). I ordered a latte, which was decent. By around noon the place was booming and there was even a line to order, so I’m glad I came earlier. Overall, it’s a really cute retro-style café with lots of fun little details and decor that give it a lot of character.”

The only thing that was missing in the atmosphere was music. I feel like they should lean into that and maybe have a 90s playlist to add to the vibe. My Reuben was perfect-a classic diner sandwich very tasty and so were the fries. The service was friendly and efficient. Ample seating, a perfect little area out front (curbside) counter seating and more tables inside. I bet this place is a local favorite. I’ll def go back!”

...but it's worth the work to find it!
The barbacoa Taco was one of the best things I've ever eaten!
(It's made from lamb meat and as a Greek, I know good lamb ...and this is some of the best!).
The owner is an absolute sweetheart, and gave me a complementary Aguas Frescas to try. The green one was out of this world yummy!
I will be here many more times.

“Small but extremely homey place. It reminds me of when I owned a deli with my dad. I called up my friend in O‘ahu to ask what to order. I got a BBQ chicken masubi and a loco moco. This is my first time coming here; in all honesty, I was pleasantly surprised. The masubi I ate plain tho my friend recommended sriracha. I’m usually wary of seaweed unless it’s drier haha, but I liked it! If you have texture issues, the seaweed moving when you bite slightly may be bothersome, but overall I definitely can see myself swinging by again for a bite, I will get spam next. I really liked the loco moco. The beef was perfect it was soft and the gravy helped carry it's overall flavor not overpower it, and the portions were generous. It was an amazing fill of protein and just overall indulgence. I’m stuffed, but happy. To those who dont like cold salads tho it does come with the loco moco and I was silly and forgot to ask them not to add it. I definitely will recommend. My friend in O’ahu says this place is legit menue wise and he'd order here himself when he came to visit hahah. Double approved 👍👍”

I will never order from them again!!!! I only did because my son ordered it for me cause I’m handicapped,unable to pick up stuff. Not only that but they don’t even carry Parmesan or red pepper upon delivery. They probly charge extra for that too. Wow! Yesterday my husband and I stopped by at noon to pick up 3 dozens of donuts to take to our cousins viewing in Tj. We told this to the lady helping us, then she said "wait, let me give you something!" I hate to give a not good review. But my family and I were very excited to try this place. My 9 year old daughter tried her Oreo slush first and she said mom, it tastes like water, it’s not very tasty at all. I thought she’s only being picky but then I tried mine my Cheesy Ube Slush too and I feel the same way. So as my husband. We ordered them around 7pm. Maybe we just got there at the wrong time. My husband said he feels like we wasted our $20. Just so sad it’s not as tasty as we were hoping for.”

Sonic had the BOGO special, but only thru their APP, which was convoluted, and confusing. So I just walked up to the drive-thru window and got help. Assisted by a very friendly young lady, she was nice enough to give me a large Fry and a mango-peach refresher beverage---complimentary!
Both BOGO All-American burgers were excellent and juicy. But the fries were Meh...
Overall, I'd try Sonic again but only for take out. Too messy to eat in the car...”

“We had a delicious and wonderful experience at Giovanettis. We were welcomed in to the restaurant with a smile and friendly Hostess who later went over the daily specials with passion. Her passion for the food and the description of each dish was inspiring.
Our server was great - turned us on to a delicious wine from Sicily which was surprisingly reasonably priced. I had the Salmon alla checca. Wow was this delicious! The Salmon was cooked perfectly and the pasta had a fresh tomato, garlic, basil topping, light on the oil. This was a perfect dish. Prior to the pasta we started with a salad and bread - The salad was fresh, crisp, flavorful with a yummy light dressing and the bread was served with real butter, not whipped or altered just real butter - delicious.
Service was impeccable and the food outstanding. We are new regulars!”

“Burgeon at the Grove has quickly become our spot. The beer selection is fantastic. My favorite is the Amber Ale. Service is consistently friendly and very welcoming, and on a super hot day, they have very strong A/C!
On our latest visit, we sat near the community board games and puzzles (these are a huge plus!). We got to spend some good quality time together (screen free!). We had such a great time sampling all the different beers while we doing puzzles together, kids coloring, and board games. It’s rare to find a place that balances top-notch craft beer with such a welcoming, family-friendly vibe. We all really enjoyed ourselves!
The atmosphere is laid-back, modern, and comfortable—perfect whether you’re here with family, friends, or just looking to relax with a great beer.

First with the manager Angelica for making it happen when I approached her a week prior to the meeting and she made the accommodations. To our waiter Kevin who was so gracious and patient with all 20 of us. It was an a hit with us all. We have found a new home for our breakfast date. Look forward to next month.
