They're very laid-back about reserving tables for any size party if you call in advance, and every table has a beautiful view out over the valley. A new highlight from our visit this past weekend is their Vineyard Tour. Call to check when this is being offered, but it was an absolute blast to get to ride around the property and see all the fascinating hidden gems tucked away around the vines. There's history in those hills I had no idea of, and it was a great time getting to explore it all!”

I consider myself a IPA enthusiast and the Backyard Brewery's West coast IPA is one of my all time favorites. The owner, brewmaster is the bartender and is super friendly and can explain the ingredients of every beer on tap. They also have a store on site that supplies home brewing equipment.I live in Cleveland OH and spend a lot of time in North County. This was a great find and I'll definitely be visiting again soon.”

I am an eggs benny kind of girl the eggs were very overdone,( like hard boiled )sent back twice but then they got it right! Just ask for runnier eggs if that's the way you like them for a Benedict! Otherwise the food and service were great!!!!!”

Everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and inviting, especially the owner who invited our 5-year old to help her round up the pigs on the property. The space was peaceful with plenty of outdoor space. We enjoyed both wines we tried and will certainly be back very soon!”
“Joes Italian is a good choice when I'm in town. The antipasto salad is an excellent choice. The eggplant parmigiana is very delicious the flavor was excellent. The service is good. They cook the food fresh, the ambiance is good. I like the retro Italian restaurant vibes. I have been here multiple times and Joes never disappoints.”

All staff at Hunsakers are so attentive and welcoming. It's absolutely a hidden gem here in my hometown of Escondido.”

“I love Phatties. So amazing to have a long menu with so many options, all vegan. I recommend the enmoladas and carne asada tacos. Keep in mind the serving sizes are huge here. Food is great and but the dine in is a bit run down looking, but that's part of the Phatties vibe, and it fits in with the post-apocalyptic vibe of present day downtown Escondido with its numerous mostly empty dilapidated strip malls.”

“I was passing through Escondido from Garden Grove and made a pit stop here for some much needed bánh mì. Bánh mì are some of my all time favorite foods and I eat them 1-3 times per week. Here in Garden Grove, there are probably about a hundred bánh mì shops. However, Son Tra was a delightful surprise because their đặc biệt bánh mì was amazing! I pate filling was generous and flavorful and the headcheese was an excellent addition. I haven’t had headcheese in bánh mì in a long time and love the texture. It was also perfectly seasoned. The carrots and daikon pickles were cut thick and provided great crunch and texture.What an awesome hole in the wall spot! Highly recommended. It was so good, I stopped by again the next day in the way back home.”
“Excellent! Saw it on maps and just decided to stop for lunch with the family. None of us had ever been there. First off large menu with a variety of dishes. Hospitality and service were amazing! Ordered the house made Mac n cheese with bacon, and split the Bacon -Avocado Burger and both were very good, everyone enjoyed the Mac n cheese that I reluctantly shared with them. Also, the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Everyone loved their food, Cheese steaks, meatloaf sandwiches and Seafood melt were all very good. Good beer and drink selection as well. The staff then gave us an order of beignets which just made the experience better. I highly recommend!”

“I came across this place by accident while on the way back from a work meeting. It's in the heart of the industrial park area in Scripps Poway and it looks a little commercial from the outside. The inside, however, is nicely decorated and clean with two levels of seating. You order at the cashier and the food is brought to your table. I had the Southern Fried chicken sandwich with a jalapeño slaw, a hazelnut mocha cream puff, and a cup of the green tea. The star was definitely the chicken sandwich. It was perfectly crispy and moist inside. The jalapeños in the slaw were mild and not overwhelmingly spicy, and the fries were crispy and not soggy. The hazelnut cream puff was good but there wasn't much of a hazelnut flavor. If it didn't have hazelnut in the description, I would've just thought it was a good mocha cream puff. I will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu and more of the pastries in the display case.”
“So, so good! Went to the bar to order and got stuck trying to pick from all the delicious options. Ended up with The Great Deceiver (TGD), South of Heaven (SoH), and a sharable Starch Nemesis. TGD was a vegan burger from beans that my wife loved. We were both happy that it wasn't a vegan burger trying to be a regular burger. It was crunchy and super tasty. The SoH was everything promised spicy, bacon, burger goodness straight to the face! The fries were crunchy, crispy, and oh so satisfying. Can't wait to go back and try other burgers and the sandwiches.”

“We've stopped in here a few times now as a mid week hang out spot. Good alcoholic and non alcoholic kombucha options. Lots of little stashed away spots to sit, a neat ambiance. A little fun, a little cheesy, definitely commits to the theme. Personally we avoid live music nights, it's kind of all you can hear since the place is one big hallway. Cool place to add to the limited rotation of options on Grand.”

“This is my third time eating here though I've gotten take out a few other times.They treated us really well tonight when I came to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday. She really likes fish tacos!The service was slow but they were so nice and super friendly so I still give them a four.The food was fantastic. I tried some new things including a Marlin taco which had a really savory soak of spices and the Fortuna Dorado Taco which is shrimp in a deep fried crispy taco shell. I'm not normally a giant shrimp fan but it was really good. I also got their side salad which was huge and high quality! Quite a bargain!The whole crew came out to sing happy birthday to my mom who was delighted and they brought her an amazing and huge piece of a really unique cake that was chocolate with a layer of flan on top. We all shared and it was great!Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian options like the avocado taco and both a veggie burrito and taco. Also some salads.”

So attentive and kept her cool even though she just got absolutely overwhelmed with customers. Checked in on everybody. Was very friendly to my children.The bathrooms were clean. I got the Escondido And would really recommend it. The tuna looked really fresh and my daughter is a huge fan. The chef really hooked us up And gave us a way to my kids delight.. Then we got to sit down and mess around with the massive selection of games, encouraged by the friendly bartender. It was just such a chill spot to unwind and be present with each other. After finishing our drinks, we got to wander the gallery and see a wide variety of art, some to our taste, some not but all worth enjoying.”

I also swapped the Taziki with hummus, and this was some true, homemade hummus. It was enough for me to eat lunch, that day and midnight snack the next. We will be back.”

Our original reservations were for outside, but due to the rain the server called and said they’re moving our reservations inside which was perfect.The servers were so attentive and friendly. The servers even sign a birthday card which is very thoughtful. Vintana never disappoints which is why we will dine again there soon.”

I can confidently say that this is the best catfish I've ever eaten. What does that tell you?Parking: We parked directly in front of the door. It is a huge lot with several businesses and a lot of parking.Kid-friendliness: I always went here as a kid. The inside, however, is nicely decorated and clean with two levels of seating. You order at the cashier and the food is brought to your table. I had the Southern Fried chicken sandwich with a jalapeño slaw, a hazelnut mocha cream puff, and a cup of the green tea. The star was definitely the chicken sandwich. It was perfectly crispy and moist inside. The jalapeños in the slaw were mild and not overwhelmingly spicy, and the fries were crispy and not soggy. The hazelnut cream puff was good but there wasn't much of a hazelnut flavor. If it didn't have hazelnut in the description, I would've just thought it was a good mocha cream puff. I will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu and more of the pastries in the display case.”
