“Good tortas I tried the torta cubana its was big and delicious i definitely coming back to tried a different torta only reason i give them 4 stars is because their salsas aren't spicy they need to incorporate jalapeños or chiles toreados.“
“One of best ropa viejaI've ever had. If you really want authentic Cuban food, you must come here.Parking: You need to pay for valet parking.Kid-friendliness: I'm not sure if this place is kid friendly for sure, not in the evening. I wouldn't recommend it.Wheelchair accessibility: They might have wheelchair accessible.“
“Been a few times and the food is wonderful as well as, the staff. Casual place we typically visit after a long hike and when in need of a large, flavorful and satisfying hot meal. The fajitas and plantains are to die for!!! Highly recommend!!“
“A great breakfast & brunch find at Venice Beach - Outstanding, varied menu - try the Arizona Benedict on sweet corn bread with avocados and house-made hollandaise sauce, or the chicken and waffles! Fresh and flavorful! Exceptional service and fun place for outdoor breakfast.“
“This is my second time visiting & the staff is super friendly! My first visit I called day of to get a tres leches cake and everyone loved how it tasted. My second visit I tried more of their pastries & am definitely hooked! A gem of a place and will be visiting more.“
“Last night I was there and I bought the best empanadas I tasted in the United States in addition to some potato balls that for God's sake were so delicious! My heart burst with flavors! Thank you for cooking so good, I want to go back and try more things from the menu. I highly recommend this place. I loved that the lady who took care of us was confused when we asked for the flavor of the empanadas and gave them to us as a gift so that we can try another flavor.“
“Came across this spot …. So glad we did. The food has the flavor, the dishes provided are big so get ready to share, and the coffee …. Brings me back to Cuba…. Worth the time and drive getting here from the OC. Definitely coming back with the friends….“
“Service was a bit curt today, but the food delivered as per usual! It was pretty busy since they closed off Venice for bikers and pedestrians so everyone was at Versailles. There was a line for the bathroom LOL. Got to try the oxtail stew which was super beefy and rich in flavor. Favorite dish is still the lechon asado. Pro tip: ask for a side of the garlic sauce with onions to enhance any dish you get!“
“Been coming here for over 40 years. I cannot find a Cuban restaurant in Los Angeles, where they make the empanizado the same as el Colmao. The service is awesome and food is great. I've been to Miami many times and neither can find an empanizado de palomillo like el colmao. I truly appreciate this restaurant and believe to be the staple of Cuban food in Los Angeles..“
“Went to the Burbank location at the Ramada Inn. No wait. We had the lechon asado (roasted pork) and oxtail. Both came out quickly, super delicious (but oxtail was juicer and better, more flavorful). Very reasonably priced and big portions. Ask for the salsas instead of bottled hot sauces. Hung out with the owner for a while. 5/5 will come back again“
“One of the best Cuban restaurant's I have had in a while. Everything was delicious and authentic.Came in on a Friday night just after 6pm. Party of 4, we sat right down and ordered appetizers, papa rellenas and empanadas cubanas and drinks, Cuban sodas and sangria.Everything took a reasonable amount of time taking into consideration that it was a little busy. The server was a little slow to check up but not so long that you felt forgotten.Dinner was ordered... Ropa vieja, Lechón asado, pan con bistec, yuca frita, yuca con mojo, moros and maduros were ordered and IT WAS ALL AMAZING. Portions were sizable and flavors on point. And of course cortaditos and flan for dessert. FANTASTICO!!Definitely will be back to try other dishes in the menu.Parking: Parking lot is shared with other businesses. If you go at night, parking should be considerably easier.“
“I enjoy the steak sandwich. It's like a Latin Hoagie. Flavorful and the bread is lightly toasted so you get a slight crunch in every bite. If you're into hot subs, Philly cheesesteak type of sandwich. This sandwich doesn't disappoint.“
“Please note my rating is based on having tried their chocolate Reese's peanut butter cup ONLY. It is probably one of the best cookies I've tried. It is soft baked and just sweet enough. Could be a little less sweet but can't complain if you take it with black coffee. You can see the actual Reese's cups. I don't know how they bake it that the Reese's cup doesn't burn or melt and gives you the best of two worlds. Chocolate and peanut butter. Ambiance: it has no seating area inside but has a few tables Al Fresco which is good for this type of place and size. 3 out of 5. Service: it is great and there is a young girl there that is always welcoming. 5 out of 5. Price: the cookie is on the pricey side at $5.84 including tax. For this price I wish it was a little bigger or for the same size make it cheaper. 2 out of 5. Parking: only street parking and usually around it you can find a spot. 3 out of 5.“
“Great experience overall. I ordered pinot grigio to drink and hubby had a Negra Modelo beer. Had a small hiccup with my first wine order but the server fixed it at once!Meals are in the pic.We definitely took leftovers! Tasty and nice environment. Certainly recommend.“
“Delicious, cheap Cuban food, the last business of what was once Little Havana. Close to Silverlake and Echo Park, but tucked away in much less curb-appealed HiFi. That means the prices are low and there's nothing trendy about it. But it also means less atmosphere than Tropical, say. Most customers are Spanish-speakers, and it's good to have some of the language when ordering. The coconut flan was especially delicious! Ropa Vieja and Medianoche too. Half a point off for the tv screen menu (can we just have it written down?) and the fluorescent lights, but otherwise, a perfect hidden gem.“
“"The food at El Criollo Cuban Bar and Grill is beyond incredible! Behind the scenes, Mom infuses every dish with love, resulting in the most mouthwatering Cuban cuisine you'll ever taste. Words can't describe how delicious it truly is!" And don't miss out on the perfectly mixed and incredibly tasty mojitos! WOW!! Delicious.Hurry over to this hidden gem in the small strip mall in Burbank (across from Costco) it's an experience you won't want to miss!“
“The food was amazing- cooked right, flavorful, and filling. I’ll be back just based on the meal, but the real reason I’m leaving this review is the service I received. Felt like I had stepped into the living room of a family reunion. Happily greeted with smiles, given a bonus slice of mango halfway through my meal by who I assume must be one of the owners, and the outdoor patio area is cool too. This is the type of business I love to support.“
“Love this place! The food is delicious! So many options! The service was outstanding. The people that work here are so kind and welcoming. The ambiance is one of my favorite. One of my favorite spots! The chicken, ribs, and oxtail are my favorite!“
“Hello I love the experience I was traveling and stopped by here I was greeted with a flyer it felt very welcoming I loved it , food smells great , The server was so nice and very well informative on the ingredients , It reminds me of home and taste just like home ? BEST Cuban Food in the 818 !!Kid-friendliness: Very friendlyParking: Lots of parkingWheelchair accessibility: It’s flat no need for ramps and wide open door“
“Thank you so much, Beaches Weho! You made celebrating my birthday fantastic! When we first arrived, they had reserved the VIP upstairs area for my big party. After we had some concerns about viewing the show from up there, they quickly put together some high top tables for us. I am very appreciative and we all had a great time!“
