“First visit here. Absolutely loved it. The albacore sashimi should really be renamed a carpaccio. Thinly sliced premium seared albacore with a tangy delicious ponzu sauce. With more than 10 slices, it's the perfect delicacy to share with someone special. Everything else here was super fresh and tasty. The ambience is dark & comfy and the customer service was friendly, quick & efficient. I found my new favorite spot for sushi.“

“So my baby boy Jude and I went there to get some early birthday sushi everything was great. Service was ok but the food made up for it.Parking: The place is located in Uptown Whittier so for everyone that is not familiar with the area not to worry there is plenty of free parking available all in their parking lot and the streets.Kid-friendliness: It's NOT a cocktail bar it's a Family restaurant with a Sushi bar my kid had a great time.“

“The absolute best sushi. Not over stuffed jumbo rolls with crabmeat and rice.. this is quality! Exactly how sushi should be. I can't get enough of Dakara and tell everyone I know to go there. I can never get tired of it, this is a restaurant you go to over and over and over for years because it's that good. You can't order wrong here, everything is delicious!“

“Ordered 4 chicken tempura dinners usually shrimp and chicken are included however I may have said it wrong so ate more vegetarian dinner that day, good thing is payed approx 1/2 what it usually cost which is still very reasonable for all the good food one gets, their soup is the bomb!“

“If you're looking for delicious sushi and pho in Whittier, Pho & Roll is the place to go! The Crunch Roll is a must try but their other sushi rolls are just as tasty. If you're in the mood for something warm and comforting, the beef pho is a great choice. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend!“

So many options (I love options) food had a great taste and customer service was phenomenal! Beyond what I could have ever anticipated. So they have sushi and an array of other dishes. “First time here, I ordered the Beef and Shrimp Bowl. It’s a LARGE portion and I thought it was tasty. They gave me two side sauces, one teriyaki sauce and one sauce for my shrimp. I loved the shrimp, I wished it came with more than three. The beef and brown rice was delicious. Customer service was on point and the atmosphere was nice inside. My order was to go. I will definitely come back to taste other items.“

“The first thing I want to say is that my server, Christian, was AMAZING! He went above and beyond on serving my food. He kept on asking if the portions were enough, which is something I dont get asked enough from places as such. He was super polite, gave the best answers to my questions, and always mentioned options when most others would have just given what I asked for. The food was spot on the best Poke I've ever had! Finally, the price was just right for what I was getting, and the restaurant was super well kept and clean! I HIGHLY recommend this spot, and if Christian is serving you make sure to leave a nice tip!“

“We love Joy. My family have been regulars for many many years. Food is awesome. Service is great, servers friendly. Only bummer, when we, as a family, went to celebrate my birthday on Saturday, we presented a gift certificate my husband & I were gifted from my Kids. It was issued at the end of 2019, expired at the end of 2020. Because of Covid we did not venture out until late last year. They did not not honor it. A little bit of a disappointment, but not going to keep us from frequenting our fav local sushi restaurant.“
