“Food was awesome but the service was horrible“

“Not too bad for Subway. You know what you are getting when you enter their restaurant. The service is good, never had any issues with the employees. They are very polite. I asked if the new tipping option on the card reader actually gets to the employees and it does.“

“I frequent this location and love the sandwiches. This particular visit fell a little short with the food quality; the bread was super hard and stiff almost burnt. I called and spoke with Mason and he remembered me and was very polite, professional and hospitable. He apologized and offered to make a new sandwich. When I arrived he greeted me with a smile and was again very professional and apologized. The remade sandwich was made very promptly. Mason, hats off to your problem solving, professionalism, and hospitality, keep it up!“

“The apps, desserts and drinks were fabulous. There was WAY too much going on in the entrees, and none of the 6 of us were particularly blown away by our meal. The burratta app, the cheese plate and every dessert and cocktail were FABULOUS. Our server Janine was WONDERFUL, friendly, knowledgeable and took care to call out the included gratuity. Every staff member was very friendly and the vibe and noise level were great. I would return for drinks and apps!“

“Great experience! Sat at the counter in the back by the bar and it felt like we got special attention and were able to chat with staff for a little bit. They gave lots of great recommendations on both food and drinks. The shrimp toast and Beijing duck wrap came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. Also loved the mushroom fried rice and pork belly, and ended with the Hong Kong egg waffle. A great meal! Will come back to try out their special counter tasting menu.“

“We visited Guard & Grace because it is a Michelin inspector recommended restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice. The food is awesome! Just a bit salty for me. Not many restaurants season a fish 24-hour ahead of time, the black cod is really tasty! Filet Mignon was also really good, loved the desert as well!“

“This was the best sushi I have ever tasted in my entire life. I have never been to Japan but I can only imagine that it tastes like this. The yellow tail sashimi was AMAZING. “I'm in town from Oregon and I rode the bus for like an hour to eat lunch here by myself. No regrets. The atmosphere: unmatched. Folks were playing songs on the juke box that got me hype for a concert I'm seeing tomorrow, and the bartender's playlist was super dope too. The food: unreal. I got the poodle bites and idk if I was expecting like more of a hush puppy with a little bit of ground meat inside, but that first bite of pure cornmeal-fried sausage absolutely took me out. You must get these. The Gwarled cheese was really good too, you gotta put the pickles on it for some bite cause it's rich. Pork belly was a tad dry for me. The sweet tots were the best I've ever had (and I come from the state that invented tater tots!) The service: awesome. Food came quick, I didn't get drinks but other folks were getting them immediately and cheerfully. Go here and tip well!“

“To start, the location isn't the most convenient if you're not walking over from a nearby office for lunch. We parked in the nearest pay lot that had space (which was still a couple of blocks away) and walked over. Once there, we waited for a couple of minutes before a hostess got our information to put us on the list, though there were several empty tables inside and outside.During our wait, at least one other party of two came in without a reservation and, unlike us, they were offered the choice of being seated on the patio and were seated immediately. Luckily, our estimated 20-25 minute wait ended up being just under 20 minutes, though we seemed to wait the longest out of everyone that came in after us. It was a bit disheartening.The server was great - fast and friendly. We ordered queso and the fish tacos to share. The food came out decently quickly, but we found both the queso and the tacos a bit bland. Everything seemed to need a hit of finishing salt. Overall, not at all what I expected and a bit underwhelming.“

“I've eaten here several times, tried different dishes, and enjoyed all of them. Portions are generous & very tasty. This is a family-owned & operated restaurant, which I often prefer. I only gave 4 stars because I have to use a walker & this place is difficult to navigate with no ramp & a very tight restroom. However, the food & friendly service will keep me coming back!“

“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“
