“Why have I not discovered this place sooner? My husband and I went today at the recommendation of a friend. It was fantastic. We split a rack of ribs. They were meaty, smoky, lean -- excellent in every way. We loved the original/traditional bbq sauce. For sides, I had the hand cut fries which may be the best fries in Denver. I love fresh, not frozen, fries, and they were seasoned perfectly. My husband raved about the green chili and the potato salad he had. This place is going into at least a tie for our favorite bbq restaurant in the area!“
“From the outside, it’s not obvious how good this place is. It doesn’t really advertise (no big flashy signs or anything) but the food is phenomenal. I had dinner on a Tuesday evening, went for the brisket and ribs combo with the vinegar-based sauce. Really liked that before they took your order the server brought out a small tray of dips for you to taste each sauce and find the one that suited what you wanted. The brisket was moist and went really well with the sauce, and the ribs were actually hard to eat because the meat weighed enough that it pulled itself off the bone.First time I’ve ever had a sconut as well. “Have eaten here a couple of times. The menu is more than ample for anyone looking to satisfy a yen for meaty BBQ goodness. Also, plenty of delicious sides. I recently ate lunch here during my break so no alcohol for me but there is a well optioned bar here for libations. You'll need to enter in to the restaurant from the hotel, either through front lobby or there is a door back by Smok itself. There is a fairly tight parking lot out front or use the hotel parking garage out back. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very casual so don't worry about showing up in your uniform. We will be back here again.“

We ordered 3 of the big sampler plates and that was plenty of food for our group. They were out of Ribs and Brisket which was super sad and the reason why I'm giving only 4 stars on the food. The pulled pork was very good, the burnt ends were fantastic, and the sausage was incredible. The turkey was fine but not remarkable. I'll have to come back to try the Ribs and Brisket another time. The smokers are in the parking lot which I always appreciate that level of transparency and knowing the food doesn't have to go far to get to my plate.“
