“Yesterday my wife and I had the pleasure of finding a new, to us, go to place. We were attending a Drag show that a friend of ours was a part of and we didn't know what to expect from a restaurant in and old gas station. Well hang onto your hats folks because you are in for a great experience. Jo, the manager has got to be the sweetest thing on this earth since sugar cane. She kept everything moving smoothly while having a constant smile. Kevin, our server, should give classes in how to be a waiter. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and again, smiling all the time. All that is well and good but how about the food? I ordered the "Hail Mary" bloody mary. On another day this could have served as my lunch. It is topped with the most delicious hamburg slider, with a side of a perfectly cooked bacon slice and two grilled shrimp. The taste of the burger had me looking for the charcoal grille. So, the presentation was great but the taste of the drink surpassed the look. I highly suggest you give it a try. I ordered the Valdese Burger for breakfast, Another perfectly cooked burger, topped with and egg and hollandaise with a side of a ton of tater tots, yes, tater tots. The waffle my wife had was cooked perfectly and she said the taste was outstanding. We live an hour and a half away, it is worth the trip. She also said, the coffee could make or break a good meal, well, this coffee just added to the overall excellence of the meal. The place was noisy which was to be expected due to the show being presented, Noisy, but, oh so much fun. The place is great. Make it a part of your "places to try" this summer. You will thank me.“

“Love the new make over. The service and food are great!! However the noise level is so uncomfortable and the was not a full seating. So bad that the hostess had to go outside when answering the calls. Highly recommend sound proofing panels.“

“The service and food here are fabulous. Breakfast is a solid “clear plate” every time. The home fried potatoes cannot be beat. Vast selection of breads to pick from for toast. Many yummy specials so it’s hard to decide what to eat. The servers are so friendly but also quick. There is a certain charm about this place, as if you have stepped back in time. At breakfast, there are locals sitting around, solving the problems of the world, chatting and happy to include you if you want to become one of the crew. The only reason I give this place four stars is because it needs a good deep cleaning, especially the restrooms. I know it is a classic place from a time gone by, but it needs a little TLC.“

“Stopped in for their current Friday-Sunday summer special the “Lobster Bomb.” This is a loaded bread bowl with large pieces of lobster, lobster bisque, and served with fries, a side salad, and coleslaw. Totally worth the money ($34.95) for how much food is given. “The food speaks here - especially the Ramens. This is the one Ramen spot I actually travel to eat at. Then the sushi and hand rolls back it up. The cold soba noodles, scallop carpaccio, sake selection. Great place to come solo and get some work done too. The Karrage could have slightly smaller chunks :)“

“I literally can’t believe how incredible the food was. This is what casual Chinese used to taste like back in the day. It was as if I was a child tasting boneless spare ribs and crab rangoon for the very first time.. The spare ribs were charred and tender and the rangoon was made with actual crab as opposed to the typical “crab flavored” cream cheese. The pork fried rice was also remarkably flavorful with large cubes of pork and perfectly cooked onion. Those who have complained about the food specifically must be miserable Karens. This is my new favorite casual Chinese spot. 10/10“

I got the lemon cilantro swordfish from the specials menu, my boyfriend and his friend's wife got some sort of mole meal from the specials menu, and his friend got the crab cakes - all absolutely delicious! Awesome chips and salsa too! The salsa verde is my favorite! Great little hole in the wall.“

“We made a reservation for Mother's Day for 4pm. The day of I received a voicemail that they actually close at 4pm. Apparently whoever is in charge of removing that option for online booking has not yet updated the times. Despite this, the staff were incredibly accommodating and kind, keeping the kitchen open and not rushing us through our meal. The food was great, the margs were tasty, and even the v young kiddos had a great time there and wanted to stay longer. Whoever is in charge of changing the reservation options, PLEASE make the change happen so that their wonderful staff can go home on time!!!!“

“On Saturday, June 11th after my Mom’s Memorial service I brought 35 people to lunch. The waitstaff was well organized, very attentive, not to mention the food was OUTSTANDING!! Everyone ordered off the menu, drinks were served along with appetizers and dessert. We all ate at the same time which is hard to do with that many people. I would highly recommend Cafe Fiore in Branford, CT to anyone who is looking to have an event or just a nice lunch or dinner. They staff worked so well together that I gave them a 30% gratuity. Another restaurant doing a buffet that we had also considered offered unlimited mimosas and soda. We just assumed this would be the same. The food was good and they had a wide variety of foods.
