We have never been before and sat on their beautiful back patio -- top notch construction, with a full bar w large granite counter, several covered tables, high tops and low comfortable chairs, and heaters (although we sure didn't need them tonight!). We had drinks, bread with honey butter (yum), and shared the shrimp tacos (perfect seasoning) and the honey chicken (the fries were delicious). Our server Alicia was outstanding, and the bus person was great too. A great new location for us in Branford -- we'll be back.”

“Stopped by today for the first time and was truly impressed! They used coffee infused ice cubes in my ice coffee which is super rare and I very much appreciated. The donuts were also incredible- super fresh tasting. The lemon donut was one of the best donuts I've ever tried- not overpowering and not artificial tasting. The service was also great. “I found this place purely by accident but I'm really glad after passing it I turned around and went in. A real feast for the eyes, loads of choices. I bought a box of cookies, a bit pricey and unfortunately I myself never got to try them. What I did have was the Panini Meatball, it was fantastic. The gentleman that waited on me, possibly the owner, was very friendly. As I told him, I will definitely be back for more, and maybe even get to try those cookies!”

“Came down to watch the game and have some food. I love the fresh made gnocchi colognes, fantastic! My buddy had the gnocchi Della casa with added calamari, OUTSTANDING!!. Price has a bearing. But there is no room for discussion about the freshness or quality of food. For posting purposes, $20 is very inexpensive for the quality here. Totally recommend this place”

“Everyone kept telling me to visit this restaurant, and now I can see why! From the moment you walk in, you can tell that there are a lot of regulars, and everyone loves coming back repeatedly. it also feels like a very cozy family restaurant. We ordered so many dishes for our table to try and were not disappointed by any of them. We tried everything from the sake cocktails to the spicy mussels and of course a few different sushi rolls. All I can say is that the hype is absolutely warranted and I will be back for more!”

The waitress was very brusque. Whenn we asked for more bread, we had to remind her. My friends asked that the salad be split in the kitchen, it wasn't. They asked for a plate and she responded, can't you use your bread plate? We had to ask the bus boy for plates. Really. Why do a job you don't like doing? Aside from the waitress, a delicious meal. Oh,we ended with lemon sorbet..lemony but a little chunky.”

She answered all my questions as well as set up decorations I had and provided great service throughout my event! The food was delicious and all came out hot and together for our 25 person party! “I recently attended an outdoor concert event at Thimble Island Brewing Company in Branford, CT, featuring the amazing band, The Zoo, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast! The brewery provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of live music and good vibes. The atmosphere was electric, the beer was flowing, and The Zoo rocked the house! “Yesterday my wife and I had the pleasure of finding a new, to us, go to place. We were attending a Drag show that a friend of ours was a part of and we didn't know what to expect from a restaurant in and old gas station. Well hang onto your hats folks because you are in for a great experience. Jo, the manager has got to be the sweetest thing on this earth since sugar cane. She kept everything moving smoothly while having a constant smile. Kevin, our server, should give classes in how to be a waiter. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and again, smiling all the time. All that is well and good but how about the food? I ordered the "Hail Mary" bloody mary. On another day this could have served as my lunch. It is topped with the most delicious hamburg slider, with a side of a perfectly cooked bacon slice and two grilled shrimp. The taste of the burger had me looking for the charcoal grille. So, the presentation was great but the taste of the drink surpassed the look. I highly suggest you give it a try. I ordered the Valdese Burger for breakfast, Another perfectly cooked burger, topped with and egg and hollandaise with a side of a ton of tater tots, yes, tater tots. The waffle my wife had was cooked perfectly and she said the taste was outstanding. We live an hour and a half away, it is worth the trip. She also said, the coffee could make or break a good meal, well, this coffee just added to the overall excellence of the meal. The place was noisy which was to be expected due to the show being presented, Noisy, but, oh so much fun. The place is great. Make it a part of your "places to try" this summer. You will thank me.”

“The food speaks here - especially the Ramens. This is the one Ramen spot I actually travel to eat at. Then the sushi and hand rolls back it up. The cold soba noodles, scallop carpaccio, sake selection. Great place to come solo and get some work done too. The Karrage could have slightly smaller chunks :)”

Two things that need some work to get 5 stars, one is staffing, on the Wednesday we visited only two waitresses were working the floor, including the bar and hosting. I've never waited so long to be seated when there was no line and tables were ready! Once seated waitresses was awesome but she was clearly overworked that night. Also we were surprised on how small menu was, not a fan of overly large menus but this did not provide lots of options. Also first choice of beers we ordered off menu were out. So cooks great, waitresses great, management, not so great.”

“We went to Easter buffet and it was very busy. That's probably why service was a bit slow. I was surprised that soda wasn't included in $50 pp price. Another restaurant doing a buffet that we had also considered offered unlimited mimosas and soda. We just assumed this would be the same. The food was good and they had a wide variety of foods. All 10 of us enjoyed it.Wheelchair accessibility: It was very easy to maneuver the wheelchair in and out of the restaurant.”

“Stopped by alone at this beautiful locale for a quick.bite. No all day breakfast but got a toasted bagel, lox, coffee and a hot cup of vegetable soup. Bagel and coffee were great, soup hot, spicy but a bit off (funny, I would say too hot). Order gal even brought soup and bagel to my table. Great crowd on a gray April Sunday lunchtime. Few issues (besides soup): Only cash (but ATM helps), no public restroom, prices no bargain (but standard premium resort pricing around NYC). No problem returning but with others and a full meal not sure I would try. If a bathroom in the area suggest pointing to place along with "no public restrooms". Most waterfront resort areas have something but unfamiliar here as juat passing through. Worth a visit but probably not a detour.”

Recently went to celebrate seeing an old friend after quite some time and could not have had a better experience. From start to finish we felt special and taken care of. And I don't even like blackberries but this is my new favorite flavor. You have to try it. It's delicious creamy and so so addicting. Defintely get a milkshake in my opinion thats the best way to experience it. I literally sometimes get 2. My one feedback is the staff is usually teenagers who hate their job and aren't very nice. I've been working since I was 16 and Defintely never had attitude but they do. But it's worth it for the ice cream. The layered dip had just the right amount of heat with great flavor highly recommend sharing this dish to start Avocado toast was brought to another level with a pesto base under the avocado and tomato’s with a balsamic drizzle on top. Cali burrito has the fries inside tasty and unexpected. Lobster roll perfectly grilled bun heaped with fresh lobster meat they happily substituted broccolini for the fries that usually come with it. This is a local establishment that has many loyal customers, especially during Saint Patrick. They had eggplant rotini , it was delicious. They also had stuffed mushrooms. That were very good. They also had two versions of stuff, potato skins, and breaded fried fried chicken. They were good. Nice small local place to gather and eat good bar food.”

“This quaint and picturesque area has been my favorite place to relax usually after visiting my dentist in Branford but I never stepped in this establishment till yesterday. I tried pastrami reuben written on blackboard menu and was I surprised! It came out piping hot after about 5 minutes of prep time, perfectly grilled crunchy butter toasted delicious bread, succulent and juicy pastrami, sauer kraut done just right, and whatever dressing that complmented overall taste. I savored every bite of this amazing sandwich as I watched people walking and doing their thing by the dock.”

Many yummy specials so it’s hard to decide what to eat. The servers are so friendly but also quick. There is a certain charm about this place, as if you have stepped back in time. At breakfast, there are locals sitting around, solving the problems of the world, chatting and happy to include you if you want to become one of the crew. The only reason I give this place four stars is because it needs a good deep cleaning, especially the restrooms. I know it is a classic place from a time gone by, but it needs a little TLC.”

Calling out timings, when they can take the next order, just a very well oiled machine it was impressive. The food was good and made properly. The prices were much better than NYC. “Open early a.m. hours. Sometimes I come here at 530 a.m. on my way to work. Beats the rest-stop prices and quality. The service is always kind've slow that early(not too many cars) but not too long of a wait most of the time. The only thing that really takes a long time is the light that they have coming out of the drive-through to go back on to the main street. Good spot for a quick grab and go morning breakfast.”

“Today (4.5.24) was my first time trying Crostini. I sat in my cat and ordered. I ordered a steak egg and cheese on Italian bread and asked to add spinach. This was the best decision. When I went insides I was greeted so nicely I felt like family. I also ordered home fries, which are amazing. The cook said the sandwich looked so good he was going to make one for himself. They have a great ladies night on Tuesdays & a very nice happy hour selection, both for drinks and and apps The first server who waited on us was a really lovely, seasoned waiter - zero complaints. Our server the last time was sweet but we didn't see her as much as we'd have liked. The menu is standard nice Italian restaurant menu with a couple of Cafe Fiore specials. Again, solidly prepared. We had chicken cordon Bleu, beef & broccoli, lemon chicken, and beef enchilada.....everything was delicious....was so nice to grab something and heat it up later and enjoy it when everyone got home.....and no work on my part....gotta love that....better than home cooking without all the fuss and mess.(Don't forget the dessert....we shared cookies and a blueberry dessert ? yum)”

“Little Riggs is a great restaurant! My husband had shrimp and grits. I had roasted duck. We sampled the truffle croquettes and beet salad with whipped ricotta. The flavors are amazing! Definitely worth a visit!Edit: we returned for breakfast and it was delicious! I had the BAHN Mi-LT, hubby had the O.G. Definitely the best sammies! Also, we shared a super yummy muffin!!?”

“Overall we had a good experience, Food was very good, some very unique, wife loved the flight os salsas! Two things that need some work to get 5 stars, one is staffing, on the Wednesday we visited only two waitresses were working the floor, including the bar and hosting. I've never waited so long to be seated when there was no line and tables were ready! Once seated waitresses was awesome but she was clearly overworked that night. Also we were surprised on how small menu was, not a fan of overly large menus but this did not provide lots of options. Also first choice of beers we ordered off menu were out. So cooks great, waitresses great, management, not so great.”

“I've been a couple of times & have enjoyed Cafe Fiore. The food is solid & their prices are good. They have a great ladies night on Tuesdays & a very nice happy hour selection, both for drinks and and apps The first server who waited on us was a really lovely, seasoned waiter - zero complaints. Our server the last time was sweet but we didn't see her as much as we'd have liked. The menu is standard nice Italian restaurant menu with a couple of Cafe Fiore specials. Again, solidly prepared. It is popular and usually busy, with a crowd mostly on the older side. Cafe Fiore is very comfortable, you'll enjoy your meal and you will be happy with the check. I will definitely be back. Very happy to have another local place to frequent!”

“I stopped in this pizzeria restaurant today and grabbed a slice of mozzarella pizza pie on the advice of a gentleman from the area stating this place is clean and consistently has good pizza. It is New Haven style.There is a restaurant here if someone wants to have a sit down meal.I noticed they have stuffed breads that sound delicious and some desserts that look delicious.The young lady that served me was nice. She assured me with her unbiased opinion that the pizza is good here, which I verified to be true.”

I ordered shrimp fried rice which was lacking in taste, ingredients and the lack of care in its preparation is evident. “Stopped by today for the first time and was truly impressed! They used coffee infused ice cubes in my ice coffee which is super rare and I very much appreciated. The donuts were also incredible- super fresh tasting. The lemon donut was one of the best donuts I've ever tried- not overpowering and not artificial tasting. The service was also great. Will absolutely be back to try more stuff.”

“We went to Easter buffet and it was very busy. That's probably why service was a bit slow. I was surprised that soda wasn't included in $50 pp price. Another restaurant doing a buffet that we had also considered offered unlimited mimosas and soda. We just assumed this would be the same. The food was good and they had a wide variety of foods. All 10 of us enjoyed it.Wheelchair accessibility: It was very easy to maneuver the wheelchair in and out of the restaurant.”
