“Since moving to the area, the OC has quickly become a regular spot to go and sit at the bar and have a very relaxed evening with great food and drink. Last night was no different - pictured is the very delicious lamb chop special that was offered with a choice of two sides (garlic mashed potatoes and sprouts). After starting with a bourbon-based cocktail, the bartender was quite knowledgeable in finding a nice red wine (a Chianti) to pair with it. And if you have a sweet tooth, their dessert offerings are quite tasty - including the lemon cake!“
“Had dinner as takeout for the first time under new owners. The food was delicious. As good as with the previous owners which is High Praise. The only caveat I have is they no longer have brown rice. I love Brown rice! But overall, I'm still very pleased with the new owners“

“Solid food and great atmosphere. The fish really was cooked beautifully and the staff was top notch. Yummy fish and chips.Today we had a couple of apps and they were quite tasty. Calamari was really solid and my buddy got the Buffalo shrimp. They had a special swordfish entree with Lobster risotto and it was really quite tasty. Solid work per usual.Delicious clam soup and salmon dish. The spetzel (sp) was fun and unexpected. Also decent pours for your gin on the rocks. Bombay would be proud. A little heavier handed would be appreciated but better than many places. The burger looked great and the chicken parm was large and tasty. “love a good Gastro pub and Union Kitchen did not disappoint. Truly wonderful and friendly staff. genuinely nice people which is a refreshing surprise. The food was excellent. Stuffed Queen Olives and Whipped Ricotta toast were incredible. main courses Shrimp and Scallop risotto and the Lobster Rigstoni arrabbiata could stand up to some of the best italian and seafood restaurants. Atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming. would definitely visit again.“
“Excellent vibe and atmosphere. I've only been solo 2x at the bar.. the Bartenders are awesome. The food is high quality, but over priced for the portion size and my Entree one night was overly salty and the next time I went my vegetable with my Duck breast was salty as well. I appreciate seasoned food. Being a part of the food service business for almost 35 years in various capacities makes me a food snob I suppose. I'll have to try some different items. The Curry- Crab Soup and Maple Dessert was awesome.“
“My wife and I had our first dinner at Vinted Wine Bar tonight. My wife has had a good amount of experience at Vinted, but it was my first time there. Top to bottom... TRULY EXCELLENT!! We shared a nice bottle of Daou Cab while sitting at the bar, and started with the Whipped Hummus, with Crispy Scallion Cake. Best Hummus you'll ever eat, and the warm crispy thin cake slices are very delicious with the Hummus. Terrific! Then we split and shared 2 entrees: The Chicken Milanese, and the Vinted Prime Burger. Both, also super delicious. Rich, flavorful, perfectly prepared by the talented crew in the kitchen lead by the executive chef, and partner, Mike Voight. Ate every bite of everything. Lastly, for desert we shared the Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake. Holy cow, that is one incredible desert. Our bartender Chris was very helpful, friendly, and although busy had time to talk with us. And we found all the staff, extremely personable. Mike has a finely tuned ship in Vinted. We'll be back. #impressed“
“Had dinner there tonight with 2 friends and it was delicious! The staff was amazing and such a cool atmosphere. I had the "spicy salmon sandwich" and it wasn't even a tad bit spicy. Wish it was actually spicy because I crave that but overall was amazing!“
“French restaurant in a chic space where there are both no reservations and no cash accepted The menu is kind of strange, as it is comprised of a few different variations of a few eclectic options. For example, you could order one of three variations of their stews, flatbreads, or grilled cheeses, or you could also order a whole roast chicken. The service was a little slow, but the servers were very friendly A little on the pricer side My dad and I ordered a flatbread and a sandwhich. It was all solid, but nothing blew us away“
“Food was great! We went for NYE. It was fun and the food was surprisingly very good, I say surprisingly, due to the fact that they had run out of the steak frites . I was able to add the steak to my Cesar salad and it was so yummy! Also the calamari was excellent!Crème brûlée is a MUST.“

Dylan was extremely kind and helpful when I called to inquire about seating, making a reservation (they don't - it's a waitlist system)... our server Lauren was awesome! She was patient (we had a million questions) and made wonderful suggestions. Super helpful considering we were first timers... and the food! Everything we ordered was delicious! The mushroom dumplings, general tso's shrimp, the ramen were all fabulous, fresh and full of flavor. I had the ground chicken seasonal special and am absolutely going back before the season changes to have it again. I highly recommend this place.“
“GREAT MEAL, GREAT SERVICE & GREAT ATMOSPHERE!!This was our first visit to The Beamhouse... we will definitely be back!!Our party shared a few appetizers, salads and Pizza!! All were so flavorful... amazing!! The pizza was perfectly cooked in their brick oven!The Chefs definitely used the freshest ingredients!Our main meals included mushroom risotto and fish and chips! Again, the fish was fresh, flaky and crispy! The risotto was so flavorful!!Although we were quite satisfied, we still made room for dessert... an amazing carrot cake!!The best part of the experience, for me, was that they were able to accommodate my gluten free requests!! Our friendly Server took extra care in explaining which menu items were gluten free (there were several options... including DESSERT!!) and clearly the Chefs took extra care in preparing my meal!! “Service was on the slow side, however the dining area was busy. My chicken sandwich was delicious and juicy, and I would definitely order it again. However the $1.50 for the up charge on french fries was not worth it. The fries were soggy, limp and unseasoned.It wasn't all bad. Like I said I really enjoyed my beer and my chicken sandwich.Parking: Nice new looking building but parking seems limited.“

“I used to love coming here pre pandemic! I brought my friend with me from out of town and we were having a GREAT night with the bartender Dustin (who literally was excellent), and at the end of the night it was just my friend, the owner, and I. The conversation was calm and civil and fun and suddenly out of NOWHERE the owner proceeded to verbally assault us, calling us expletives and making us feel unsafe and unwelcome. We decided it was no longer for us and stepped outside, at which point he FOLLOWED US OUTSIDE and alternated between apologizing and cursing at us and begging us to come back inside until we left. I’m glad we didn’t go back inside as his behavior was erratic and potentially dangerous, considering we were two women and he is a much larger man. We were afraid and felt safer walking home (in Hartford that says something) rather than staying put. I’m bummed because I used to like this place, but it’s come to my attention we are certainly not the only women with this experience. Please be careful y’all.“

“I really enjoyed this spot. Almost couldn't find it as there's no real signage outside. It is dark, as others have mentioned. But it definitely helps with the vibe. The little book they have the drink menu in is so cute! The man who took our order was very kind & had no issues making me a great mocktail! Very delicious. We had pulled chicken sliders, which were lemon pepper wet with some type of slaw. A little spicy, which usually is not my thing, but I liked these. It's served with kettle cooked chips. Overall, I would definitely go back!“
“Went in on a Wednesday for a business meeting with 3 partners, we sat at the bar to have a drink, the bartender Emma was a delight. She was friendly with such a warm personality. There was a young man filling the cooler with bottles of beer who joined the conversation, we stayed longer than expected and I will be back with my wife. “Was there for happy hour at the bar. I don't know the bartender's name, but the dirty martini's were spot on and spanking cold! He was very attentive to my group. My only "complaint" is that Brio is in Westfarms Mall, so you need to deal with the parking morons and the junior high schoolers who hang out there just to get into the place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.“
“Experience was Amazing. We went for my grandmothers 88th bday. They gave her desert for free. My mother ordered a shrimp meal that was short on shrimp, they brought out a whole other plate of shrimp to apologize. Food was Great! Staff was very friendly and service was fast. Highly “
