“I just picked up our two Caesar Salads and brought back to our home as my wife was tired. Why would you buy them from some haute Cuisine place like the West Street Grill? Well, they are simply the best cuisine in Litchfield - even for a simple take out salad. Very nicely prepared with Parmesan in its own container and a rich Caesar dressing as well. While I was waiting I looked around at the people dining in a very relaxed atmosphere with nice Jazz music playing. I thought that we should have come here for dinner instead (as we have many times before) and had a treat dining out. You won't regret your visit here.“
“We have never had a bad meal at Saltwater Grille. The only thing missing is the water view! The smoked Salmon plate appetizer is fantastic! My go to dinner is the Lobster Mushroom Ravioli...You can opt out of the mushrooms if they are something you are not fond of. My son always likes the 1/2 Duck...although he often gets seafood also. The other family favorite is the Artichoke Encrusted Salmon, it sounds strange but it is wonderful. You really can't go wrong on anything at Saltwater Grille!!!“
“It has been quite awhile since our last visit to the Village restaurant, nothing has changed to our delight! Great Service, Good food and my favorite Fried Oysters is as good as I remembered. Such a wonderful meal in a charming pub setting in a beautiful town of Litchfield.“
“We had been up in the area checking out an indoor flea market and stopped with our kids on the way home. Service here is awesome! Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. The breakfast menu has a great selection. Definitely worth stopping out if you are in area.“
“Been in the bar previously, but this time ate in the restaurant (cellblock). Service was attentive, menu is casual and food is very good. Sales were fresh and crisp with generous portions of chicken added. Marketplace I'd very comfortable and seemed to draw many locals and families.“

“Our dining experience was like a warm hug on a cold night! Food was amazing but the ambiance and service brought it to the next level. My burger and fries were off the chart and my dining companions equally loved their swordfish and salmon. We shared dumplings and Brussels for appetizers and a carrot cake (don’t miss this!!!) and a chocolate banana bread pudding for dessert. The wines and cocktails were also on point! Look forward to going back when the sun hasn’t set to enjoy the view of the lake nearby.“
“Since I work nearby, Rozzi’s is a solid option for my coworkers and I when we’re craving a good breakfast or lunch! On this last visit we really enjoyed the Asian salad special and the bbq chicken melt. Their decadent desserts are always fun to get for a treat too! A great hometown diner feel with friendly staff!“
“We recently had a memorial event at Fairview that was outstanding. The menu prepared by Keith LaManna was great, as was the service from the staff - particularly Dawn. We would highly recommend Fairview for any event.Mark & Rita Greene“
“My office won lunch bunch from here, and it was really delicous! Our grinder tray had roast beef sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches and wraps, and turkey bacon avocado sandwiches (maybe more than this, too, but I got there a little late haha)--the sandwiches all looked great and the turkey bacon avocado I had was delicious! We also got chocolate chip cookies and sides of potato/egg salad, and it was one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had--melty and soft and full of chocolate chips.I'll definitely order lunch from here next time my husband and I go for a little picnic drive. The only negative comment I heard was that they put mayonnaise on all of the sandwiches, and not everyone here in the office likes mayonnaise, so they had to scrape it off.“
“My husband and I love stopping in here for an occassional weekend breakfast/brunch. Staff are very friendly and make us feel at home. There are so many wonderful options for meals or small items, and the portions are a pretty good size! I always leave here feeling full and ready to tackle the day! Oh...and my husband loves it too!“
“This is my favorite restaurant in town. I’ve been here several times for both dine-in and takeout. The food is fresh and delicious. I love that they use local ingredients and I love that the takeout does not include plastic containers, plastic cutlery, or plastic bags. I also like that the menu changes up from time to time. Staff are always friendly and professional. Thank you for providing such a great dining option in Watertown.“
“Manager very very nice ! Staff friendly place is super clean. Good food milkshakes were good . Chicken gave me a chick filet vibe . Only thing I didn’t like is the hun should have been buttery and toasted also had to ask for extra cheese n bacon on fries it came very “
“One of my absolute favorite local restaurant / bars. Erica and Seth are top notch at customer service and their respective roles. The bar and specials menu is always interesting, and as the one restaurant with a full bar in Harwinton I can’t recommend Edison Grill enough!Parking: Dozens of parking spots in the private lotKid-friendliness: Has a great kids menu and friendly atmosphere“
“The service was fast and friendly. The food was prepared very well. Fish and chips were light and crunchy, very tasty. If you like it hot, the jerk chicken was a flavor bomb. Only issue is both plates were missing the cole slaw. Definitely worth checking it out.“
“What a WONDERFUL little throw-back of a diner! The servers are absolutely charming (thank you to the beautiful, jewelry-making Christina), pricing is circa 1995, there's a great children's menu -- and there is clearly some skill in this kitchen, generally. I love that you get unlimited refills on coffee ($2), which was actually quite decent by diner standards. Where else can you find that nowadays?! Eggs were well prepared and fluffy across the board. I loved that my veggie omelet ($8.75) came generously filled with sauteed mushrooms, sweet peppers, and onions. It came with toast and a side of either fruit or home fries. The multigrain, which our server disclosed was from a bakery in NY, was fresh, well slathered with butter, and far better than it had to be as a non-headline component of the meal. Home fries were beautifully seasoned, though I do prefer mine a little more browned. Fruit salad on our visit included a slice of melon, a few grapes and a slice of orange. Our eight year old got a children's meal with one egg, home fries, toast and juice ($4.50). She enjoyed her fluffy scrambled eggs, which she ate sandwiched between two halves of a generously buttered English muffin. My only nitpick: You could taste a touch of margarine in the eggs, which I personally detest. Still, the food was head and shoulders better than (and half as expensive as) anything you can find at Mohawk Mountain, where we are usually resigned to grub. We are so, so thrilled to find this sweet little place a hop and a skip away from the mountain. It's a perfect place to refuel after early morning ski practice!“
“We were at the flea market nearby and went for lunch because it was so close. Located in a strip mall, it’s was a cozy, informal, little restaurant with booths and some tables. Service was prompt and courteous, menu had all the classics and nice, simple dinners and black board specials. We had cheeseburger deluxe and pastrami melt. The fries were so good, steak fries that cooked to a deep golden brown. Perfect crunch for the outside, soft and mashed potato like inside. It’s been a while since I had fries that good!!! Burger was hefty, cooked to perfection and juicy. Pastrami melt was tender, with very thinly sliced sauté onions, grilled well on rye. Coleslaw was very good, not too saucy, not to dry. Ice tea was very good.Saw others selections, pot roast with gravy looked so good and a grilled chicken salad that was enormous!Prices were great for the quality and portion sizes. Can’t wait to go back again.“
“We had an incredible stay at Winvian! We were in the Beaver Cottage which was a rustic but luxurious cabin. We enjoyed the food at Maggie's Tavern, Winvian Farm Restaurant and participated in a stained glass making class and had s'mores after dinner one night. Their spa services are top notch and have couples massages in a room with a fireplace and champagne afterwards. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful with Anthony, Christina, and Rachel being particular standouts. We look forward to returning!“
“Great food and great service. A special treat was having Angelo the owner come over and visit our table. That type of personal attention just doesn't happen anymore. We were so impressed with everything that we made it a point to eat there again the next day. This place is a treasure.“
“As I was travelling through the area and growing hangry, I was in the mood for a good Chilidog. It appears they use Hummel hotdogs. This place had delightful chilidogs, hamburgers/cheeseburgers, and lots of other great food options.Unfortunately, I dropped my dog before finishing it, but I was able to eat most of it and it was all I had hoped for.The staff here is friendly and kind.Getting in and out is fairly smooth and easy, although while I was inside, my wife happened to see some guys roll in on motorcycles and one of them dumped their bike on the gravel driveway. She did say he seemed to be o.k., although I figure he must have been embarrassed and who knows if the bike got damaged. If you're rolling in on two wheels, use caution and be safe.FYI, this place is cash only, which is fine with me. Just wanted to mention it because I know some people rely on their credit cards.Overall, this is a great place to make a pitstop while out for a scenic ride in and through the area...“
“I hardly never write reviews but this was my 1st time going here. We were celebrating my birthday and we had such a great experience. The food was so delicious. The prices were decent. The waitress was friendly. The inside was clean and nice looking. We would definitely recommend trying and we will be back. We had chicken and waffles and onion rings.“
“3 for breakfast on this day. Very nice patio, closed because of time of year. Inside is a typical small breakfast room. Two TVs on with news. We were greeted and treated very well. One plate was a typical scrambled eggs, potatoes and white toast. Wasn't mine but heard it was good. The toast was a thick bread, buttered and toasted well. The potatoes were fresh cut and grilled with onions and spices. Another plate was Huevos Rancheros. The menu has quite a bit of Mexican flavor to it, and it being one of my wife's favorite breakfast to eat out, we thought it was a safe bet. Not the case unfortunately. Partly our fault and partly because the waitress didn't ask, the eggs were over easy and runny eggs are a no-no for her, so it sort of ruined the whole dish. The rest of it was just so-so and quite sparse-no avocado, no salsa or pico and just a small side of re-fried black beans. I had the Protein Bowl special. The only thing wrong with it was that it didn't come in a bowl! This made it a bit more difficult to mix up, but the combination of black beans, quinoa, avocado, fresh pico and two eggs over easy were quite delicious, especially the freshly made pico. The desserts all looked so good but we decided on the mixed berry scone. It's not a scone (meaning it's not dry) but it was very good. Definitely worth another try, likely when the weather is nice again and we can sit outside!“
“We were blown away by the exceptional service. The level of professionalism was refreshing. The staff could have been trained at Downton Abby! We have found the gold standard to which all servers should be compared. The food was simply amazing. My Mole Pork Chop was tender and juicy with an unexpected, and greatly appreciated, subtle crisp on the outside. We will be back, w/ friends!!“
“I was definitely very surprised by JDT's on Main. From the outside, no offense, it looks plain and dated. There is plenty of parking though, so plus! But inside, it looks welcoming and so clean. There are wooden booths along the walls, with table and chairs in the center. The wall decor is homey and in sections, obviously done with fresh chalk. There's a lot of natural light from the big windows in front, and you get a nice view of the church and ... Well, traffic. The restrooms are single rooms, but also very clean and well attended. The food was delicious. My burger was cooked over medium, as requested, and juicy without being messy. The fries were crispy but in no way overcooked. Our waitress was also very kind - she checked in several times but was in no way overwhelming.“
“Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and patrons. Food is a notch up from usual bar/tavern fare as orders are prepared individually on a grill behind the bar. Have had numerous burgers and they are quite juicy while prepared as ordered. Fries are crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle. My wife says the crispy chicken sandwich is the best she's ever had! Oh, the beer selection is adequate and cold. What more do you want? Torrington's version of CHEERS!“
“Been here several times , food is always good . The menu has some nice selections and I always enjoy what I get . It can be crowded so be prepared to wait during busy dinner hours .Vegetarian options: Salads , cauliflower also gluten free options as well . French fries are really good“
“One of the better dining experiences that can be had in Connecticut. Michelin star quality without the price. The staff is extremely personable and makes you feel as if you are the only person in the restaurant. They are very knowledgeable about the menu. The presentation and taste of the food is exceptional. The food is farm to table with fresh ingredients. The dining room is dimly lit and intimate. The experience has been consistent the 5 times that I have visited.“
