“Our experience at Fire at the Ridge in Middlefield, CT was simply fantastic! We rented a fire pit and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere while indulging in some amazing food. Let me tell you, the burrata bruschetta was out of this world - it's easily one of the best things I've ever eaten! Pairing it with a pumpkin beer in the fall was pure heaven, especially with good friends by my side. “I took my son here for a bday breakfast celebration and the owner was so friendly he even had the kitchen make a pancake stake for a cake with candle and everything. It made him feel special and it was a nice experience. The food was fresh and served quickly. The inside is cool and the parking is minimal but not too bad.Kid-friendliness: Super fun decorating and the waitresses are very nice.“

A group of 4 of us were traveling through the area and needed a good place for Dinner …We called and made a reservation , the owner Al was very personable on the phone .We arrived for dinner and he had our name on table , and he introduced himself …We had a couple of beers while he explained the menu to us ….we Decided on a couple of appetizers and also a small pizza to sample before ordering our dinner . The appetizers arrived and were very good, but the star of the show was definitely the pizza , so much flavor … the crust was to die for light and airy and so much crunch in the crust !!!! Next was the Dinner - Chicken Francaise , Chicken Parm , Chicken Marsala , Fettuccini Carbonaro .All meals arrived hot and were Delicious …We also got to meets Al’s Daughter who was very personable just like her Father ….We wished we had this Restaurant in our community . “We love this place and go every few weeks. But I do NOT recommend it for valentine's day. The hostess is a harriden enforcing rules and ensuring everyone knows if you were too stupid to make a reservation. The servers are clearly the B team or the junior varsity. You are limited to a 30 percent marked up valentine's day menu and no pizza is served in the dining room. It is all enforced by the harridan and the regular head waitress is off. The carryout meals were normal, but who wants their steak dying while they eat their salad. I came for my birthday for steak pizza Iowa. I had to settle for a half sized blue filet mignon that was still cold in the center with a mustard sauce with no mustard, mixed vegies that were mostly nasty carrots, and a really good baked potato that was cold by the time my steak was warmed up. You guys are awesome. Stick to your real menu, and stop marking things up 30% for holidays. It wasn't just valentine's day, it was a regular customer's birthday, you screwed it up. I'm passed.“

“I chose Soga because they had Toro on their menu. It was only available in a roll. That roll, while still delicious, did not satisfy my craving for toro or really deliver the same experience. They lost one star for the tempura. I prefer mine thinner sliced with a lighter coating. This was thick and heavily battered. Overall, the sashimi collection was decent and fresh.Will go again“

“This was the first time for us trying Niuda Noodle & Sushi. The ramen bowls we had were quite tasty (Braised Beef noodle and Tonkotsu) and satisfying. The staff was friendly and the restaurant, while small just had a nice vibe to it. I'm looking forward to my next meal there to try something else.“

“Salsa's 3 catered our NYE party this year. Talon goes here for lunch all the time and we love Salsa's. We are overwhelmed with how great the catering is! We knew the food would be great because it always is. But they worked with us on portions when we got our headcount. This saved us money and allowed us to buy a greater number of items. Ignore the online catering menu and go in and talk to them since they will break anything down to a half tray and really help you have a great event. Super impressed, 100% recommend and we will of course go back time and time again!“

“Family style bar and restaurant. I've had a thick juicy cheeseburger and the fish and chips. Both dishes were nice large portions of flavorful and fresh tasting and well seasoned food. The place is friendly and well appointed. Prices are reasonable and service is great. The patrons are having fun socializing with each other. There are even families, but no young children. They are a mix of young and old. People are dressed in casual work clothes.“

“Lovely vineyard with an excellent selection of wine. Enjoyed the wine tasting they have. I’ve been quite a few times and enjoyed it each time. It’s gorgeous when the sun is setting too. My friends and I brought some cheese, crackers, grapes and with their wine, it was both perfect and memorable. “I just had breakfast here with my friend. She had gluten sensitivity and I have celiacs. So we were looking for a GF place to have breakfast that we wouldn't get sick! The food was all great and homemade, and the staff were wonderful. Our waitress. Lola was so sweet, caring and attentive! We could not have asked for a better person to explain the GF food there as well! In fact all the gone are GF foods are from Dees Ohe Smart Cookie in Glastonbury, and is a completely GF business, so I felt very happy! And comfortable eating here! The food was fantastic. “Called here to try out the tuna grinder. An angry man answered and told me take out only! I was getting take out anyways so that worked. He yelled a number at me after I ordered and hung up. I walked in to pick up and the entire restaurant was closed up except for the take out counter so it must always be like that ? Not sure. Anyways, picked up my very generous looking half a tuna for under $10 and left. This was one of the best tuna grinders I've ever had. Bread was lightly toasted. Tuna was double the portion of the pizza place down the street and it tasted great. Will be back to try more items for sure.“

“Had to stop here on my self proclaimed "burger tour" when I drove across the country at the recommendation of George Motz. Fantastic burger cooked in a unique way which yields a very moist and juicy burger. There is so much ooiegooie cheese and the bun is soft but not soggy. I'm from California and we don't do burgers this way, but I have to tip my cap to Ted. Fantastic place. I'm sure locals know it but if you're passing by, do yourself a favor and try this local gem.“

“There are fine-in places. But, found nobody but us to sit and enjoy pizza.. There are very few flying customers -it seems. You will find a veg option here.Vegetarian options: We found only one veg option. And I guess- that’s common in these places unless you visit some only veg restaurants. The food quality is good.“

“The muffins are super yummy, the food overall is average, good but not surprising. I do recommend the French toast, soft in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The tables were a bit on the small side but enough to place the plate and drinks infront. Service was great, very attentive and kind.“

“We went for an early dinner Saturday afternoon our anniversary. Our server was Lance and he was fantastic. We really enjoyed our meals including the rum cake for dessert we go again in a heartbeat.“

It did feel like a family restaurant should.Parking: Parking can be difficult during the busy times. I went on a Saturday night and it was busy. There is parking around the building and in back. “I order through doordash. Most recently I ordered the 2 meat combo with beans and a side of potato salad. The meat was brisket & pulled pork. Both were moist and delicious as well as the beans and corn bread. The potato salad had onions in it which I am not a fan of, so I only had a bite, but the flavor was not of a storemade variety. I asked for sauces on the side (Carolina & KC). The Carolina was spicy which I was not expecting at all. Overall, I enjoyed the food and plan on ordering again sometime.“

Honestly great little gem of a place in this area :) really cool stuff on the property too like mega beach chairs, old telephone booths, vintage cars. Great spot for photos !“
