Uncover Monroe's Mexican dining scene with Restaurantji's insights.
“This is a really great Mexican restaurant. Prices have gone up a little and the menu has changed, but overall they're still very good. They're churrasco is top-notch. And there's salsa is so addicting, those sometimes they add a little too much pepper.“
“Food was consistent with that of other locations; delicious. Ordered the carne asada burrito. The restaurant was clean and the customer service was excellent.Visited on 2/19/24 to have the burritos I purchased on 1/16/24 rewrapped, they had fallen apart when I got home. The staff was friendly, kind and understanding. The food as always, delicious. I wish I could given then 10*.Parking: Plenty of spots.“
“This is a gem of a spot in Seymour!! Their food is top notch excellent and they have utterly delicious vegan options! Prices are incredibly reasonable and the portions are just right. My partner said it’s the best breakfast burrito he’s ever had in Ct. I got a vegan soyrizo sandwich and was also blown away. Can’t WAIT to go back and try more of their dishes - everything that came out of the kitchen looked bangin! The owners are friendly and outgoing. I’d just be aware the space is quite small so seating is limited - more of an issue if you’re wanting to bring a group on a weekend.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian but more importantly VEGAN options.“
“I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! The best Mexican food in CT, I promise you won’t be disappointed! Steak burrito is my fav but everything on the menu is delicious & super fresh. The staff is always friendly and attentive. This is a must try spot, don’t miss out ;)“
“I love this place , this is a real Mexican cuisine maybe a little small but it packs a punch , the food is amazing and the taste is awesome the barbacoa soup (goat) is excellent not to mention the steak tacos and alpastor tacos are so tasty I highly recommend it..... ..best keep secret in Devon Milford CT areaVegetarian options: They have vegetarian optionsParking: Lots of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Yes is wheelchair friendly“
“Today We went to Taco Central because we were in the mood for Mexican food. The food was great as was the service from our waitress Liliam who recommended a La Parrillada and steak fajita that were very delicious. We also tried a couple of strawberry flavored margaritas that were great. We highly recommend this restaurant.“
“What a gem! Some American favorite deli items and so much more!I wanted to try something different for breakfast and heard El Sol offered some Latin dishes, so I decided to give it a try.The setup is that of a typical deli, with small tables, a fully stocked chip rack, a large refrigerator with a variety of drinks, a coffee station, and a buffet countertop. The menu includes typical American sandwiches and griddle items, but it also includes Salvadorian and Mexican delicacies. I've stopped by twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. For breakfast, I ordered the Salvadorian platter, and it was amazing! I ordered my eggs scrambled, and they came accompanied with plantains, refried beans, avocado, and tortillas. Delicious! Today, I stopped by for lunch and ordered the steak nachos. The steak was nicely seasoned and chopped. The nachos were also loaded with cheese, sour cream, refried beans, pico de gallo, and fresh avocado. Very satisfying!I'll definitely stop by again soon!“
“Señor Pancho in Southbury, CT, is a beacon of Mexican cuisine excellence, standing tall as one of the oldest Mexican restaurants in Connecticut. From the moment you step through its doors, you're greeted with a warm welcome from the attentive staff. But it's the food that steals the show – each dish bursting with authentic flavors that transport you straight to Mexico. Whether you're craving sizzling fajitas, flavorful tacos, or mouthwatering enchiladas, Señor Pancho delivers an unforgettable culinary experience. It's no wonder locals and visitors alike flock to this gem to indulge in its amazing offerings.“
“My first time coming here for tacos, the birria tacos were amazing!!! I ate it in the parking lot, couldn’t wait… the onions made it even better. The pineapple drink was refreshing not too sweet. Cashier was helpful, sweet, and patient. This is my spot for tacos now:)“
“Really great take out that we had. The steak entrée is a bit spicy due to the jalapenos, but it was cooked very well for a take out order. The tinga chimichanga was also fabulous as well as the chips and guac. I would definitely order from this place again.“
“I always order the Molcajete Azteca but today I wanted to try something different. WOW!! The Seafood Molcajete is wonderful. The dish comes with rice and bread, but you can order an order of homemade tortillas on the side. The food is very very delicious, I recommend it.“
“Manny catered a surprise party that we hosted - pulled pork, brisket, cornbread, turkey, empanadas. The food was excellent and everyone was very happy! He was super easy to work with, the prices were reasonable and everything was awesome! Definitely recommend him!“
“Love that you can order single tacos. Order yucca fries everytime I go there. Never have enough room for dessertParking: Tried stree eceral times, ended up in free parking in the lot across the street. Walk over was a little dicey due to the ice.“
“The guacamole was awesome, hot dogs and fries were spot on. Great people working there and we were so glad to have tried the place today! We will definitely be backKid-friendliness: Had Pirates of the Caribbean playing in the big TV. Easy atmosphere“
“Four adults on a long road trip heading back to New England. We get off the highway and make our way to the diner for a midday meal. we were all super impressed with quality, quantity, cleanliness, customer service, price, and coffee! We all highly recommend you visit and enjoy,, and if ever given the opportunity we will definitely stop again! We thank you for the wonderful hospitality!“
“Had this with my wife. We shared 3 tacos, the chicken, goat, and steak. Also had the mulitas birria, elotes, and tres leche cake. This food is CRAZY good! Super clean tasting, bright in ways I wasn’t expecting, juicy, and PACKED with flavor. If I could’ve rated it higher, I would have. Family owned, and amazingly friendly. This needs to be a stop if you are visiting this part of Connecticut (Fairfield and the surrounding towns). Amazing job!!!!“
“Love this place. The atmosphere is great. The staff is very friendly, & the food is great. Haven't had a bad meal yet. They also have monstrous margaritas.Parking: There's plenty of parking w/ 3-4 lots to choose from.Kid-friendliness: This is my go to spot for daddy/daughter dates.“
“If you are looking for near authentic Mexican food then el Paraiso is the place. The torts are hand made as well as the salsa. The food comes out very fresh and hot. Most delicious and satisfying. Service was quick and very personable and friendly. We recommend.“

“Deynira is absolutely amazing and Taco Bell is lucky to have her represent their brand at the trumbull mall. Always enjoy seeing her and she remembered my order from once in a blue moon, she genuinely cares about satisfying the customer and it shows.“
“I've been a customer for over 10 years, and both their Italian, and Mexican food is excellent. The delivery workers, Chefs, and employees who take the orders on the phone are very kind, hard working, and talented. Just want to thank them, and give them the recognition they deserve. Having worked in the F&B industry for over 20 years in NYC, I appreciate a place like this on nights when I'm too lazy to cook.“
“yo soy oaxaqueño y no había probado una comida tan deliciosa como la que deguste en este lugar, se los recomiendo a todas las personas que estén en busca de un auténtico platillo oaxaqueño, les recomiendo las tlayudas y las memelitas I'm from oaxaca and I haven't really had some delicious food like the one had in this place, I totally recommend this to people who are looking for authentic taste from oaxaca I can suggest tlayudas and memelitas“
“Honestly the rebrand that this spot has gone through over the years has fully aided them in selling more and being able to expand their menu to be a truly authentic Mexican AND Italian spot all at once, such versatility and high quality is not easily pulled off in my opinion!I recommend the nachos special mix it's fully packed with the perfect amount of meat and nacho ratio!“
“excellent service, delicious and fresh food, very well prepared, delicious pizza is what I visit the place most, delicious fresh waters recommended 100x100, very good customer service and Johana, very friendly and attentive, excellent place to go with family, friends or to take to “
“This is my go to for Calzones - best one around Bridgeport and their marinara is on point, Chef Salad - is good, and basic pizzas - it's sauce and cheese are good. Delivery takes a while, expect longer waits on Friday/Saturday and game days.Best place for calzones - we order from here just about every week.“
“First timer, got take-out taking a chance. Very surprised. Carnitas burrito is really good. Compared to Chipotle, there really is no comparison. Chipotle tastes like drugs whereas this also tastes like drugs but primo Mexican drugs, no fancy business more like Mexican street food. Really good work. I think the only real con is it's too oily but again, that's not a bad thing unless you have preexisting health conditions. Beware the orange sauce. It's spicier than you'd expect and I love that. Is there a 4.5? 5 is too much but 4 is too little. Settling on 4 because it could be even better.Edit: I use "drugs" colloquially. If you need specifics, how I use the word drugs is a combination of savory, salty and umami with a little sweet and sour to balance it all out.“
