“My wife and I went here for one of the stops on our honeymoon. The golf cart ride from the remote parking lot was relaxing. We had a water front seat It was absolutely breathtaking. The food was amazing the waiter was friendly and took time to answer any questions we had. We will be back one of the best seafood restaurants we’ve been to.”

“The spice palette is very welcoming, great customer service, staff patient with menu questions and suggestions. Our dinner was selected from the vegetarian/vegan menu and did not disappoint. Portion size is perfect as we like options. Also great for sharing. Our selections easily fed 4. half of our dinner was taken home as it was too delicious to leave behind. We say the BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT in new London .”

“Everything was Great!! I walked in expecting good service and good food and I walked out a happy customer. I ordered the bbq and the j*** sauce wings, It was amazing!! I was actually licking my fingers because the sauce was sooo good. I must add the decor was beautiful. It looked so elegant on first encounter and I found myself talking about it during my whole dinner. You won't regret eating at favorites. I promise you, I will be a regular over there.”

“good morning NL at 5:45am i stop here to get breakfast i saw two blonde women get out their expensive luxury cars ..btw nice rides llady i se business is good..i waved good day to the lady in glasses..she threw me a look of disgust to sitting in my car og well! then it got real ugly i bad vision i used my flashlight to what time they open then the other lady came the door like a pitbull at me LOL thank the lord she didnt bite me on this lovely sunday then they call the police on me LOL so no french toast crispy home fries and the icing on cake she told me never come bacl thank god i has my tylenol with me LOL reporting in NL your food critic ..”

“We were on a family dine-out after the holiday and were planning on checking out a different sushi restaurant in New London which was not open so we ended up here. And it was absolutely an amazing hit! We first were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary spring roll as we were seated. We ordered a few appetizers, couple of special rolls, their lover boat, and finished with a few deserts. Everything was surplus in quality, very fresh, nicely presented, and reasonably priced. The lover boat was a blast to everyone when it came and was an absolutely upscaled experience to have sushi and sashimi served on the boat. Checkout the photos. Their deserts were great and our favorite winner is the sticky rice with mangoes. Everyone in the family from 6 to 65 had a wonderful time dining there. Would definitely recommend and would come back next time when we are looking out for sushi time again.”

“Being from Wisconsin the frozen custard was okay. The flavor was good, but the texture was a little off, at least as to what I am used to and expected. Also the lobby area seemed to have an order that just didn’t seem good.”

“Our server, Sher P was wonderful. The resturant was very busy but she was extremely intentional to make sure we were comfortable. Her customer service was outstanding. The food was very good as well. We both wanted salads (cobb salad and strawberry salad) and they were more than we could eat. Thank you Sher for such a great customer service experiance.”

“I got the Fish and Chips last night 09/03/2024. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portions were quite big. I usually don’t get to have seafood because I moved down south near Asheville, NC but this place made one of my favorite meals (that I don’t get to have too often anymore) perfectly even the fries were cooked perfectly. “Great little place with really good food. If you enjoy real food you'll probably like this place. I had a feeling they were going to be special when I saw that french fries were not an option. I opted for turnips and baked beans with my ribs. Also got the Thanksgiving sandwich. I'm so glad I found this place so close to home and will definitely return.”

“01.30.25 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' featuring Apathy- The Dutch Tavern 23 Green St ❤️ City of New London, CT ❤️ I ordered and reviewed their Cheese Steak Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Red Potato Salad. Apathy had a Cheeseburger with Red Potato Salad and Broccoli Cheddar soup. The big question is, "How was this Spot"?👎🏾👍🏾💣 Well I was pleasantly surprised that the place was booming when we walked in, I loved the whole atmosphere, the Owner and cook named Tim was very talkative and friendly to my Brotha Apathy and I. To top it all off he served us both delicious sandwiches👍🏾👍🏾, potatoes salad👍🏾 and broccoli and cheddar soup👍🏾. The Dutch Tavern is a great little spot, a hidden gem in the City of New London and I am glad that I finally found it!! You really need to get your *as down there Right away!👍🏾😏 Thanks Dutch Tavern! “i just wanted to shoutout Jake's Diner for their above and beyond customer service. i placed an order on door dash because I had knee surgery and its a rainy day. The door dash driver delivered me someone else order from a whole different place and then tried to blame it on the restaurant. when I called the restaurant they made me a whole new fresh order and even delivered it to me and they dont even deliver. That type of service is rare now a days. I will continue to support our local businesses. Thank you so much!”

“01.26.25- 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' - Little Galapagos Restaurant ❤️ City of New London ❤️ I dropped into The Little Galapagos Restaurant this evening to review a couple of their popular menu items which were Chicken Wings, Thai Chilli Sauce followed by Carne Asada Ecuadorians Style meal that was actually really Dope ❤️ however the Chicken wings were not great at all so they earned a Thumbs 👎🏾 The atmosphere and service was really dope there and I am sure that had I ordered anything else on the menu besides the Wings would have been just as good as the Carne Asada. “This place was impeccable. everything from the service to the decor was on point. When walking in I thought that the food would make me need to use the toilet for 3 hours straight but when I walked in I felt this strange aura as if God himself was trying to give me a sign that this restaurant will wash me of my sins and boy, that’s what I experienced alright! When the server spoke to me, I started blushing and thought he was the most gorgeous person I’ve ever seen. Even though I have a girlfriend(obviously), I went straight ahead and dumped her right then and there. When I stuffed my mouth with the food, it felt like fireworks exploded and melted in my mouth. It was just soooo good that it surpassed every restaurant I’ve ever went to in my life. I’d literally give up my children in order to just have a nibble of the food again. The only downside to this place would be that I can’t ever go to any other restaurant again because they can’t even begin to match the pure satisfaction of just being in the presence of these amazing, good-looking chefs. If I could, I would rate this infinite stars since this place was sent down from God himself. It’s as if the angels came together to lead me to this wonderful place. This is truly the second Garden Of Eden. I believe this is truly the place pure hearted people go when they die. Now I gotta finish this review before my dad comes home to beat me again cause my mom just cheated and he needs someone to let his anger out so byeeeeeee!!!!! ☺️”

“Went at lunchtime and the line was pretty long. So we sat and waited about 20-25 minutes for our grinder and sandwiches to be ready. The sandwiches and grinder were freshly made and stacked high...delicious. only drawback is waiting area and the long lines (other people obviously know it's a great lunchplace too.”

“This is currently a restaurant as the upper floor where the guest rooms are is not yet open. The restaurant was amazing! I had the most incredible bowl of chicken chili and then pork tostadas that were delicious. My spouse had the tuna nachos and spinach salad with steak that was equally wonderful. The servings were as beautiful as they were delicious. Our server was great, attentive and helpful. The host was a lovely local woman who shared lots of interesting history about the building (incredible) and surrounding grounds. We ate in the dining room with a beautiful view of the ocean and romantic background music and peeped into the bar where there was live music and lots of folks having a good time. We highly recommend for a delicious and reasonably priced meal.”

“I found this little pub while I was on a date on my birthday. The atmosphere and crowd was pretty decent. most of all, I love the fact that they do live performances. Unfortunately for me the person who I was with wasn't feeling the music and wanted to leave. Honestly, I should've ditched her ass instead and vibe out with another chick that night (something that my gut feeling was screaming at me to do). If I ever get another opportunity come to this pub, I might just change the star rating.”

“I went here with my family and let me tell you, it is the definition of FEEL GOOD PLACE! It is a cozy little cafe with 80’s or maybe earlier, handheld games spread throughout the cafe. While we waited we enjoyed playing many games I hadn’t played in years! While we were just chit chatting, all the sudden marshmallow come flying at us! My daughter thought it was so cool, we looked over to see one of the ladies shooting them from behind the counter. She came over a little while later to squirt ketchup and mustard at us, it was a prank but very funny! It was really just a string. To top it off, she brings a small claw machine so my daughter could play it and win some prizes. We found out that they feed squirrels that come up to the window, so we inquired and one of the women tried to get the squirrel to come so we could see it. Unfortunately it did not happen but honestly, just left feeling like my soul was warmed. The food was amazing! The coffee was hot and all the women working there were truly a delight! I wish I lived closer, I’d definitely become a regular. Best part- aside from taking some photos for memories, no one was on their phone. Just really enjoying the cafe and experience.”
