“The owner is an absolute doll! I asked her about her experiences while in Puerto Rico, the meals are most enjoyed, and the culture behind food. My fiancè got the chimi burrito and I got the Super Hot Dog. Both were so yummy!! His burrito was FILLED with beef and my hot dog was covered in delish meaty chili!! We also tried a fried goodie in the display; I wish we could give this place a 10/10. Wanna support authentic Puerto Rican foods at local business?? This is the PLACE! Thank you so much for all the yummy food. We will be back.“
“Found this place by accident while waiting for a train, and what a jewel of a find it is. We got there right after it opened and it was quiet, but quickly a few regulars showed up and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. The bartender was nice, funny, and made us feel as welcome as the regulars at the bar too. The decor and just overall vibe was stellar. I can only imagine how great it would be during peak hours with more people and live music. It is on the smaller side, so I can imagine it gets crowded, but that's half the charm of a hole-in-the-wall spot like this“
“Not your regular restaurant. We stopped for brunch on our way to the Orient Point ferry. What a wonderful surprise it was. Everything served is way above the standard quality of regular and even fine restaurants, for a very moderate price. I wish we would have a place like this closer to home!“
“Late Sunday afternoon at Captain Scott's Lobster Dock in New London, CT was a delightful dinner date with Momma Judi & Thomas Lavoie! The view was lovely and the food was fantastic. We all opted for the Captains Combo and TJ was thrilled! Despite the long line, it moved quickly and there was plenty of seating. Plus, they offer wine delivery or BYOB! A must-try spot with great vibes and delicious seafood.-Marisa Balletti-Lavoie“
“NL Eats made our night! Six teachers were rushing from an overpacked and understaffed Social where they didn’t even take our order for an hour… we put in an order for 4 potatoes and 2 mac and cheese- by the time we walked down bank st. Our food was packed and ready to go! We ate the most delicious loaded baked potatoes, taco potatoes, and Mac and cheese on the front steps of the library before going to see Bored Teachers at the Garde- thank you, NL Eats- you gained 6 costumers for life! ?“
“First visit for brunch. The country fried steak and gravy was delicious! The orange creamsicle mimosa was tasty. Didn't care for the loud DJ in the corner as I was there on a date and it was slightly difficult to hear our conversation.“
“From the time you walk in the doors, you feel good about your decision to eat there.....huge selection of great tasting food, great service, decent sized portions and a great atmosphere is what you can expect from this place....go once, you'll be back!“
“I enjoy coming here for breakfast because it has that feel of home. The staff is friendly and jake makes sure to come out and speak to you personally. The only reason I put 3 stars for the food. And because the last 2 times I went there. They didn't have great but other than that, the food is awesome. Never had any bad pleads. I highly recommend that you give them a try“
“Can only comment on a few items... Buttery smooth lattes with the Canyon Coffee they use. Great Chicken Salad sandwich! Really good Rotisserie Chicken and sides. Drip coffee is really good too. Egg sandwich is a tad bland, but solid. Staff is always really friendly.“
“What a gem! Really lovely experience and are shocked it wasn’t packed on a Sunday night. It’s a bit of a drive for us, but we will definitely be back. The atmosphere and service gave classy vibes. Tasty cocktails and appetizers. Loved the authenticity of flavors — had our first empanada! We ordered several things off the specials menu, and while my own steak wasn’t a particularly tender cut, there are certainly plenty of options to choose from. Locals are lucky to have this place! Just wish we had saved room for dessert…“
“This little Mystic gem has the delicious ice cream creations around! I had the PB & fudge sundae and my wife had the caramel lovers sundae. OMG delightful! The ice cream is fantastic, the service is quick. Not a lot of seating and it is always packed but the line moves quickly. It gives you time to make the perfect choice. The ambiance is cute, like a country ice cream shop. I love good ice cream and this place knocks it out of the park! A must try and you won't be disappointed!“
“It's a really nice environment to be in. If you're like me and prefer less crowded restaurants, go for dinner as late as possible. We went at 7pm, and it was the ONLY time I've seen empty seats there. I'm just not a fan of packed places. The food is amazing, and I love looking into the kitchen to see what the cooks are preparing. Thank you for a great time, each time!Parking: There's a parking lot in the rear of the building; super convenient. There's also street parking towards the front of the building as well.“
“I absolutely love cowslick. There ice cream is so so amazing my favorite is superman and it's so good. I hope they stay open all year around. Because who doesn't eat ice cream in the winter as well? I hope you stay open all year round! I will miss my superman ice cream so much! I love your store and ice cream sooooo much best place ever!!“
“They do a juice cleanse which is phenomenal. It is really well thought through. I have never fasted before and am presently finishing my last green juice on my third day, before the grand finale of the cashew mylk drink, and I feel like I have really done something worthwhile. The rest of the menu is also great, and the people are friendly.Vegetarian options: There’s only a couple things that are not vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Anyone can eat here.Kid-friendliness: It’s great for kids.“
“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! To start, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is inviting and clean. The wonderful people that work and run things are amazing with our kiddos and the service has been stellar. I literally can’t name one thing that has gone wrong since we started making this our regular stop and I don’t expect there to be one in the future.“
“wife and I went today had the cl phone with brisket, flank and round rib eye sooo fresh and flavorful also had the summer rolls loved it, we usually have it with shrimp and chicken this one had shrimp, chicken and pork really good and I love the chili oil spicy and great flavor. I will definitely come here again and will recommend anyone to check it out.“
“Came here with a group for a farewell get-together for a coworker and we all really enjoyed our food and drinks. I ordered a pint of Noel Apparition and “The OG Chick” crispy chicken sandwich with a side of Old Bay Hand Cut Fries. The food was delicious, and we all got great portion sizes for the price.I’ll definitely be back, and plan to bring others in with me! It’s a cool atmosphere, with a very friendly staff.“
“The Fisherman is our go to for date night, the servers and managers are so personable and the food is great! Zach, the head chef, went the extra mile to come say hi and ask us how our specials were. Their jumbo coconut shrimps are one of our favorites, and the home made pickles on their burgers are some of the best I’ve had. This is worth the few extra miles to the water front, and definitely the place to be for outdoor dining when the patio is available!“
“Great place and Biker Friendly! 10/10!My waitress was Rachel D. She was very friendly and was quick to get my order as well as get my order to me.I had the chicken and bacon quesadillas with some ranch dip… very good and very filling especially considering it’s technically an appetizer in of it self. Previously, I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was damn well made too. It’s fairly cheap as far as food in Groton goes so I would $100% recommend this place!Parking: Lots of places to park and it has a few spots specifically for Motorcycles in front too!“
“The Mexican food here is Top quality and the best prices I've ever seen for gourmet Taco places in all of Connecticut, it's cheaper and better than Moe's and all the others out there, this place is spot on with the freshest ingredients and if you call in its done by the time you there and you will be happy with the total price $4 a Fat Taco $ 8 for Monster burritos etc. Gotta get down here people“
“I want to be fair, I complained in the past about the food and service. I stopped in last night for the fund raiser. I was not expecting any more than a good pizza, I was there for the museum. I always heard the owners were nice people, but never had the chance to meet anyone, last night I did , After having a conversation with Andy, he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, polite, respectful and really cares about the community.. I will definitely be back again and again !!!“
“Small space but it's cozy and great for conversation with loved ones. Beautiful decorations, friendly staff. However, I've lived in CT, RI, and MA and out of all three states (and the many breweries I've tried while residing in each), this brewery has the best stout I've had in over a decade (their other beers are also great but I'm a stout person). I'm very disappointed Man O' War allegedly won't be staying on the menu, but if this is the caliber this brewery can create I'll happily try anything they come up with!“
