“The hideaway had always been a favorite. Recently came back after a long absence. Have found when sitting at the bar feel ignored, yes aware of staffing shortages. The staff egarly serve what look to be regulars. When they arrive drink made without a discussion, food order placed, second drink...this is while we have been there 10 to 15 minutes with NO acknowledgement. So dissappointed.“

“What an amazing experience. I first want to thank the bartender Dylan for welcoming us and allowing our night to be the most special experience. We started drinks off and they were really delicious. The food came out in a timely manner and I love how the kitchen is in the same room as you. I ordered the egg toast with caviar and the short rib. My boyfriend got the waygu steak, he said it was the best steak he's ever had. I tried a piece he's not wrong! The bar seats are so comfy and I loved being able to enjoy a fancy dinner. “Overall good experience.Appetizer was crispy duck wings which were delicious and perfectly cooked.For the mains I got the poke and my girlfriend, the veggie burger w/ truffle w/ fries. The poke included fresh tuna and the rice was cooked perfectly, however in my opinion the sauce was too tomatoey flavored and overpowered the rest of the dish. The veggie burger tasted good but would benefit from the patty being a little crispier.Had the warm chocolate chip cookie w/ ice cream for desert which was lovely.Overall good experience and would go back. “This place is a true gem! Nestled unobtrusively in a little plaza, the restaurant doesn't seem like much on the outside. But you walk into a warm, truly cozy, whimsical atmosphere that wows.The staff were all wonderful and seemed happy to be there, and the service was fast and efficient. Great people. I got a small spot of hot sauce on my shirt, and was trying to get it out, and Zoom! Here comes our waitress with spot remover! Wow!The food? OMG THE FOOD! I at first thought the menu was a tad pricey, but when the food came, my plate was LOADED. Worth every penny! And it was utterly delicious! Very fresh ingredients, and flavorful!I can't rave enough about The Shack. We will eat there many more times in the future!“
