“Awesome food and great service! We’ve eaten here several times over the years and always love it. Didn’t plan on eating here today, but couldn’t resist after smelling their meats getting smoked - pulled me in like a magnet. My grandson and I took a morning bike ride on the rails to trails path that goes right past Smokin with Chris. As soon and I got a whiff of that awesome aroma I knew where I was having dinner - great choice! I had the Burnt Ends Duo with Brisket and Pork Belly and highly recommend it. My wife had the Smoked Chili and loved it. Our server was very friendly and attentive as well. We’ll be back!“
“awesome food and service scratch that... wasnt too pleased with the order last night. Had to wait 15 autobahn minutes for my order. I arrived 5 minutes prior to the time, my potatoes were already sitting on the plate. 20 minutes later the chicken is added and when i made a comment about the potatoes sitting there and being cold i was told no they are hot. They were ice cold! Wasn't impressed!!“
“Maybe off the beaten path and a no frills location but TOP NOTCH BBQ. First time trying Roysters but will not be our last. Some of the best BBQ I have had in CT. We tried nearly every meat and side available (Brisket, Pulled Pork, Beef Ribs, Pork Ribs, and Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage plus both cornbreads, smoked mushrooms, baked beans mac n cheese and coleslaw). Every bite was fantastic! Excellent smoke rings and nice bark, great spice to the BBQ sauce. You gotta give it try if in the area. Keep it up Brian, it was nice meeting you Sat. “We called Trevor before heading over to his food truck to make sure he was still at the location. Not only did he wait for 30 mins for us to arrive, we were greeted with smiles and great customer service. We were considering the catering services for hot dogs and hamburgers but Trevor was right…after trying his j*** chicken, barbecue chicken, brisket, and pull pork we are now reconsidering a different menu for our catering event! The food was delicious, perfectly smoked and seasoned and portions were a great size! I think we found our new favorite barbecue spot! Thank you Jonez n BBQ! ❤️“
“This is such a great restaurant. Love the atmosphere here and the beauty of the place itself. The food is great. The happy hour food menu however is minimal and seriously lacking options. Also, the service at the bar is often very slow unfortunately.“
“My boyfriend and I stopped here on my birthday. The food was DELICIOUS!!! The ribs were juicy and tender, the chicken was as well. The yams and potato salad were everything!! I didn't get to try the soda but I will next time. The owner was kind and nice and everyone should visit his establishment.“
“I order through doordash. Most recently I ordered the 2 meat combo with beans and a side of potato salad. The meat was brisket & pulled pork. Both were moist and delicious as well as the beans and corn bread. The potato salad had onions in it which I am not a fan of, so I only had a bite, but the flavor was not of a storemade variety. I asked for sauces on the side (Carolina & KC). The Carolina was spicy which I was not expecting at all. Overall, I enjoyed the food and plan on ordering again sometime.“
“I ordered dinner tonight on the recommendation of the owners sister who ate at my restaurant in wolcott last week, I must say the food was great, meats were tender and flavorful, sides didn't disappoint either, food even traveled well back to my house in Southbury. “I have been here three times now and each time it has been a total pleasure. Staff is freindly and attentive, food is fabulous and wait time when using the app was non-existant. This place always packs out because it is good food for a good value and served with a smile. On one occasion, my brother's steak arrived cooked under what he requested. They took care of it no problem and even brought him a fresh side so it was nice and hot and waited at the table to make sure it was cooked to his liking. Appetizers are great (love the fried pickles), the complimentary rolls are delightfully delicious, gravy... just yum and sides are tasty. We are very happy customers!“
“If I had a rating I would give this two stars. The food and the food options were pretty great. My boyfriend and I just came back from here to celebrate our anniversary. We are simply just so disappointed with the service. I understand we are still in a pandemic and things are tough for restaurants. I am trying to be as honest as I can. The food was really good, the drinks, and the service was fast. However, we cannot say we enjoyed our time there because the service from staff was so poor. We got rushed the entire time. To order, to cook our food, and to even pay. We even had to throw some of our food away because they had turned off our grill before our chicken was fully cooked. Furthermore, this was also our first time with Korean bbq. We both have a lot of respect for the culture, and wanted to know about what we were getting into. There was nothing on the menu indicating what items came with what sides, and no signs indicating. We have had experiences with hot pot that had given a full explanation of how to cook the food, what food was available. We had to ask 3 different times to get an explanation of what we were eating. It wasn’t just one person but at least 2 or 3 interrupting me when I was trying to talk. I’m just very disappointed because I have wanted to come here for a long time and chose to spend my anniversary here to just be disappointed.“
