“First time trying Saga. The restaurant was clean but like one reviewer said, it's very bright with the LED lights. The presentation of the food was great and the size of the rolls as well. However, in my opinion it was lacking flavor, but will be back to give it another chance. The waitress was attentive and delivered great service.“
“We absolutely loved eating at Japan Express. It was our first time there and with food allergies we are always cautious of where we eat. Our server (who may have been the owner?) went above and beyond to ensure our food was safe of our allergens, was attentive, constantly checking in on us, and she was super kind to our youngest. We went during lunch and our portions were very well served. So much so that we all had tons of left overs that we will enjoy for dinner! We love Japanese Cuisine and Japan Express did not disappoint. I had their miso soup and Chicken Hibachi and everything was great tasting (not overly salty, it was just right). We will definitely be returning and can safely say we have found our Hibachi spot! (PS. “Went with the hubby and our littles and ate in the other night. The food was absolutely amazing. Both the hibachi and sushi were amazing. The service was super fast and although the place isn’t the prettiest inside it for sure was one of the cleanest I’ve been in! The food is amazing though and everything is super reasonably priced. “We always get the same lady. Our experience is the same each time. We love the wonton soup full of chicken and so much it's crazy to order anything else but we do! I try their sushi rolls each time and get fried rice. Always left overs.“
“Lampu Japanese restaurant sits near the SW corner of 441 and North Donnelly. There's generally no issues with parking. We arrived on a Friday for lunch. The restaurants interior is rather dated and could use a fresh coat of paint in many places as well as improving the booth seating comfort.Beyond that, the restaurant is unique in that it offers a sushi bar, standard table dining, and theatrical Teppan (Benihana) style dining.I ordered the Hibachi chicken and shrimp dinner for the larger portion (it makes for a nice lunch the following day). I added a green dragon roll, and my wife had the Lampu roll and sweet potato rolls.The Hibachi lunch was quickly served up while the three rolls took some time to get to us. The Hibachi was very good, and rolls were excellent, although I thought the rolls were on the smaller side. This seems to happen more frequently during this time of inflation, higher prices, and smaller portions.Overall, food and service are top notch with reasonable menu prices. Enjoy!“
“My husband and I had a wonderful experience here last evening. We were looking for sushi and an alternative as he isn’t into sushi, and this was just the spot. Our server, Victoria, was super attentive and sweet and made sure we were satisfied with our dinner experience. From the drinks, (lychee martini and beer), to the appetizer (vegetable gyoza) and both entrees, sushi and a noodle dish (chicken udon) for the hubs, everything was excellent! I absolutely loved the sushi. I got the passionate tuna roll and a Philadelphia roll. Excellent quality and flavor. So glad we found a quality sushi place close to us! We will definitely be back!!!“
