Due to maitland city laws about late night business operation, I was denied service at the location there as the employees sat warm and smiling inside. So on I traveled to the next town over in search of those luminous golden arches. Yes the service was slow, as cars ambled through the drive thru, but I was willing to wait to satiate my desire. I am a chef by trade, and when I get McDonalds, all I really want is salty fries, for the love of God, please salt the fries, it is all I ask on your part. The fries, while they had probably been held over the limit, were wonderfully salted. The burger I order plain, and add the condiments at home.The real home run here was this: I ordered a McFlurry with extra oreo. I was charged for two but I only vaguely noticed that my order seemed more expensive. I am a man who is fine with having two McFlurrylies. When I went to eat them, I was delighted find them loaded with oreos, as someone took the time layer ice cream and oreos together in both of cups. I got the double smash burger with caramelized onions with a side of fries ($15 bucks). The caramelized onions really did it for me. The sauce made it way in every bite which formulated a good damn burger. Very filling, messy, the bun edges were crispy which made it even more tastier. It was freshly made and the wait was no more than 7 minutes. The fries were fries but I enjoyed the fact that they weren't packed with salt. I believe they had no salt now that I think about it. I appreciate that. I didn't add the side of cheese as I felt like that was too much for me. I bet it would have created even more of a mess. It wasn't necessary but I did get pickles on the side which were crunchy and fresh. I would recommend this spot if you're looking for a made to order smash burger.“

“If you're looking for those throwback, good old fashioned yeast donuts, this is it! While I love to try new things sometimes you just need something that brings you back to childhood. I came on a Saturday around 1PM worried that they may have limited selection as what typically happens for donut shops, they definitely had way more than I thought! I was very quickly helped and I did have to ask for pricing on the donuts as they didn't show them anywhere but at roughly $12 for a dozen, it can't be beat! I was craving a simple chocolate glazed donut with peanuts which for some reason is hard to find but they had it! They also have so many selections of fruity flavors, and crème filled donuts. I'm a chocolate lover so I was happy to find that they had a chocolate crème filled donut also! While this was a drive for me, I will definitely be back at least once a month or so... definitely worth it!“

The fish was a large chunk of soft white fish. It was simply great. I'll be going back there again. The cost was a little over $11.00 for the fish sandwich, fries and a drink, so it was more expensive than both McDonalds and Arby's for two sandwiches. “I cannot recommend Jimmy Hula's highly enough! It's primarily burgers and tacos, but far from your typical burgers and taco place. Everything has sort of an island-y theme, from the decor to the food. For example, my go-to is the luau taco, which has teriyaki chicken and pineapple-mango pico. The flavors are absolutely incredible, and the pineapple-mango pico is so good that I usually get a large side of it to-go afterwards. Not gonna lie, these are my favorite tacos in the world. Everything is pretty much customizable. The tacos are sold as singles, so you can mix and match the type and amount to fit your hunger level and so you can try a variety. You can also choose your protein. The burgers can also be made as either single or double. The atmosphere is super relaxed and casual, as you'd expect with the island theme, and the staff are always really nice. Jimmy Hula was one of my most frequent choices when I lived in central Florida; now, it's one of the places I absolutely have to stop at whenever I'm in town. Do yourself a favor and try Jimmy Hula“

Tonight 2.21.24 she was the only worker and with mobile orders over $100 back to back she made sure that we were all taken care of or at least told about what was going on. And i did have to wait until she was free with them but hot fresh food and service with a smile she really pulled the whole interaction around. And she needs a raise! Being the only MGR/ only associate in the building and working drive thru, filling orders, and keeping her customer service was awesome to see. All I know is that any manager I've ever known would've called the GM and told them they could close the restaurant, but she tackled it beautifully. I know at the end of the day when I drove away that I was pleased with my experience even though a little rough at first being a 45 minute wait. But she truly turned it around and made me happy to come back.
