“An impromptu date night after work had us exploring the menu this Wednesday evening. We were seated in what looks like a sunroom. They had 50% off of select wines,beers and cocktails. We chose a bottle of Bordeaux. The grilled octopus was amazing and cooked just right as was our dinner of steak and fries with a small salad. Really enjoyed the ambiance and food however service was slow. We saw a server or two come in to help but not sure what caused the delay i.e. the kitchen or too big an assigned area. “I met the new owners back when they took over this location. First thing is the way they notice the little things about food quality, customer service, and overall experience. There are many wing places around the area, but the team starting from the top values customer opinions and consistency of delivering a great food quality experience. The prices are in range with their competition, but there is hands down no comparison to the experience of this place. You can bring the family or show up for a few drinks after work. Many options in the menu including healthy choices and did I mention how great their alcohol beverages are including the Bushwhacker and Long Island. “I have passed Hurricanes a million times but I've never stopped in. A friend suggested we have dinner there. 5 of us showed up around 6 and we were able to find a booth. A quick review of the menu and we got down to business. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and our meals. The ice tea was good. I asked for lemons and more ice which was quickly brought to the table. The fried pickles were really good. The coating was good and the dipping sauce was really yummy. I ordered the friend shrimp and my husband ordered the coconut fish tacos. We also ordered medium wings to try. All we're home runs. My shrimp were really fresh, large and the coating seemed to be their own. I got the Old Bay Kettle Chips. Now I am a Maryland girl and would say the Old Bay Kettle Chips were a big two thumbs up. I also got the cole slaw which I tried one small bite but was to full to eat. It was good, not KFC good but solid. The wings were wet, hot and really tasty. I would definitely order them again. I am disappointed I haven't gone to Hurricanes before. This is definitely a place I will put in my rotation. It's small inside but they kept the food coming at a good pace, our drinks remained full but I never felt rushed. She communicated with her team efficiently to ensure that they knew what had to be done. The team also communicated amongst themselves. Even the younger woman with the red hair kept slight eye contact with the dine in people so we wouldn't feel neglected. Small thing to give an huge feel good.Although, the small wait from the drive through affected my order, the time it took to make indeed showed it's craftsmanship. I didn't want lettuce on it but it was on it anyways. However, that was one of the best Phillies I've ever had outside of my hometown.
