“You should go for breakfast and again for lunch! Cuban coffee is delicious and chorizo breakfast tacos are excellent only if 3 handmade chorizo tacos with handmade salsa verde sounds good…It’s definitely delicious! Cuban sandwich also excellent and highly recommend !! Must try if you’re anywhere nearby!!!“
“Best food I had in Key West! Was not even close. Spent 4 days there and I can say by far this was the best meal I had. We actually made plans to go back our last day because it was so good.Do not be thrown off by the fact that it's basically in an ally. The vibes are hole-in-the-wall and it is.Make sure to stop here! (And get the hot sauce)“
“I really appreciate stopping by here! A real good Cubano Mix sandwich. The stuff was efficient. From order to holding the food in my hand, maybe five minutes. I was here at noon weekdays. The sandwich is well made : Cuban white bread, some kind of whip, onions, lettuce, tomatoe, meet, a slice of beef (that one could have been thicker). The little smile would have been appreciated. 10$ tax included (finally no coins in change!).Thank you for this experience. I totally recommend.“
“Famished after a lengthy drive to Key West, we found this hole in the wall cafe for lunch. Street parkings were available around the cafe. While we waited for our order of Cuban Mix sandwich, steak quesadillas and tamarind Jarritos, we were greeted and entertained by couple cafe pet chickens. I preferred the Cuban Mix sandwich (4/5) over the steak quesadillas (3.5/5, slightly greasy but good flavor). Overall, not the best Cuban sandwich on the Florida Keys, but very solid food for Key West and price point seems reasonable for the more touristy areas.“
“Fantastic food and super friendly service! Unassuming Cuban and Mexican food. No real dine-in tables but a couple of picnic tables outside. If you're looking for a delicious lunch spot try them out! Try the cuban burger all the way!! Yummy “
“Delicious Cuban food, I can say the best in Key WestI want to add that I bought it again and my daughter is disappointed, the grilled fish is terrible, poorly cooked, another thing that bothered her is that the stew comes in small pots and came almost empty, in short, she is very upset“
“This place is small with a little inside seating and more outside seating. The food is delicious! The orange juice is fresh squeezed and delicious! I had the steak egg and cheese wrap with hasbrown inside it was so good. I like to eat and I got through half and was stuffed out of my mind! Fresh avocado steak cheese eggs hashbrowns all wrapped and grilled! Don't miss this place for the best breakfast!“
“Super cute and quaint togo spot. The bread is fantastic. I ordered the egg sandwich and it was just egg and bread but it was so good and held its heat very well. My husband got the mixed cuban sandwich with no tomatoes and that had a lot of flavor. We also got a guava pastry that was so light and flaky. They are very quick, I'd love to try more of their menu.“
“This is my husband's favorite spot so we went several times over our stay in key west. I've had the Cuban mix, fish sandwich, and fried chicken and you can't go wrong ordering any of them. All were delicious and served on the classic cuban bread. Definitely get whatever you order served "all the way". The batidos are so good. My favorite is the mango but the others are good as well. It's definitely a place you order from and then take back as there is not really any seating. However, there's always some good people watching while you wait for your food.“
“Best Cubans ever. They were filled with such delicious ingredients, they were not skimping the fillings at all. 2 different types of pork were so flavorful and juicy. The cheese was gooey and so yummy. This was the best authentic Cuban me and my family ever had. We also got and avocado chicken sandwich, which was good but nothing could compare to the Cubans.“
“This spot had such a local vibe, I got there pretty early in the morning so I only saw a handful of people. A cop who's wife came to meet him for breakfast, what seemed to be a worker from a local store and a few other people. Staff was very friendly. For the coffee l'm a Miami native so I gotta say I was expecting better but it still hit the spot. The egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on Cuban bread was delicious. I loved taking a walk while I finished my coffee and even got to see a manatee surface. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area!“
“I wish I could even articulate how much we love this place. We stayed in Key West for a month and genuinely looked forward to getting our coffee from Edwin every morning. Not even a few days in he had memorized both of our orders and had them ready for us by the time we got to the counter. Not to mention we’re both coffee snobs to the max and this is quite easily, the best coffee in town.“
“El Mocho is my favorite! It's my go-to. Pretty much my favorite now for decades. Cuban cooking cooked by Cubans. Real Cuban bread cooked on location. And I just had the flan last week, it was as good as it was when I was a kid–since 1983. This is where local's eat.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly, always has been. Plenty of space.“
“Nice little Cuban spot that benefits from a great location next to Mallory square! This is an awesome spot where people go to watch the sunset. So the restaurant has a very convenient location. It was excellent Cuban food though! We had the plantain nachos along with a mahi-mahi plate. Great food and a location. That's awesome! Worth a stop if you're nearby and need food!“
“We stopped in and had breakfast at Southernmost Sandy’s Cafeafter visiting the Iconic Southern most Point in Key West. It is just a short walk away down Whitehead Street. We dined in at the Southernmost point bar. The atmosphere was great and the food was plentiful. We ordered the Cuban breakfast sandwiches and they were delicious and we took the leftovers home. Highly recommend.“
“Enjoyable dining experience on Duval St!! I tried multiple dishes including the Ahi Tuna Nachos, Conch Fritters, Shrimp Po Boy and Key West Loaded Pineapple! All the dishes were fantastic with the special shout out to the Key Lime Aioli which was served with the Conch Fritters. (There are Six loaded chips in the Ahi Tuna Nachos plate)“
“You know a place is legit when it serves beverages in old plastic glasses, has actual hot sauce options, and the walls are wood paneling that looks like it hasn't been updated since the 80's.Our portions gave us leftovers for a couple days, and the beef and pork were both incredibly flavorful and tender. Genuinely the best meal we had on Key West.“
